These days, Jin Rulan is known (though not to his face) as the Emperor Jin or the Sun of the Jin Sect. He had grown from a petulant and friendless child to a powerful cultivator beloved by his entire generation. Koi Tower, once isolated and unwelcoming to all but the invited, threw open their gates and invited any who wanted to walk down their paths. The private residences were still closed, but the rest of the tower was open.
Jin Rulan was frequently out, leaving a hand selected group of cultivators to look after Koi Tower while he spent his days in Lanling, helping anyone who needed help. Often he was joined by disciples of other sects and would sometimes go with them to their own provinces. His most constant companions were two Gusu Lan disciples- Lan Jingyi and Lan Sizhui.
Today saw Jin Rulan wandering further then normal from Koi Toer and Lanling, but it was where he had agreed to meet up with his friends for a nighthunt, an agreement that Jin Rulan loathed to skimp on. He was the first to arrive to town, so he secured loading for the night. This too was normal, though often Jingyi and Sizhui would insist on paying for food and equipment the three of them would need during the hunt.
“A room for one.” Jin Rulan told the inn proprietor, setting down some gold. It was too much for the room, but Jin Rulan had an eye for detail- this inn was well kept but simple, therefore the extra gold would do the family some good. It probably didn’t get much business this time of year anyways, with the cold settling in.
The innkeeper’s eyes widened and they hurriedly bowed. “Of course, Master Jin. Right this way, our finest room for you.” Rulan silently followed after the inn proprietor as he pointed out all the features of his inn and how he could take advantage of them. He had no intention of using any of these, he’d gotten a room because he was meeting up with his Lans and he knew how insatiable the bastards could be, especially after a nighthunt gone well.
He bowed to the inn proprietor and sent him on his way before sealing the door behind him and lock it. He then crossed the room to the window, opened it, and stuck a talisman on the window so his Lans would know where to enter.
He started a kettle, opening his carrying pouch for the tea leaves that his Lans prefered. Lan Jingyi was the first to appear, happily making himself at home on the single bed in the room. He looked over Rulan appreciatively. “I see you’ve been training, Sect Master Jin.” His voice was practically a purr and Rulan rolled his eyes.
“I see you’re as shameless as ever A-Yi.’ Rulan commented, handing him a steaming mug. “Where is Sizhui?” The two were so rarely parted, though Rulan had seen them separate more than anyone else, especially in only one could wiggle out of their Lan duties to see him.
“Wei Wuxian held him up a little, but don’t worry, he shouldn’t be too far behind me.” Jingyi assured him as his fingers curled around the sturdy cups the inn had provided. “I’m pretty sure he knows, by the way.”
Sometimes, Rulan couldn’t tell if his uncle was the most observant or least observant person in the universe. “The whole of the matter, or just some of it?” Jingyi shrugged in response of Rulan’s question and he accepted that. As long as Wei Wuxian didn’t decide they needed a chaperone or some nonsense, Rulan didn’t mind him knowing. Sure, the three of them were somewhat...untraditional, but then again, so was Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.
“You look like you’re thinking too hard,” Jingyi complained. “I’m feeling cold, come and cuddle me, A-Ling.” Jingyi completed his request with a pout and Rulan rolled his eyes. Not only had Jingyi come from Gusu, where there was already snow on the ground, but he was in winter weight robes- quite enough to keep him warm.
But Rulan had missed him, so he made his way over to the bed and sat down beside Jingyi, pressing their side together. “Utterly shameless, A-Yi,” Rulan teased him, stealing a kiss from him. Jingyi’s lips were warmed by the tea, which was normally too bitter for Rulan to enjoy.
Jingyi’s arms wrapped around Rulan’s waist, pulling him in. Likely, they would’ve gotten thoroughly distracted by each other if not for a bemused clearing of a throat.
Neither of them had to look to see who had joined them. Rulan blushed, but Jingyi just dropped his arm so he could grab Rulan’s butt, not caring about having been caught. “Thank you for joining us, A-Yuan. Now we can take our little Jin Ling apart together.”
Rulan pushed Jingyi away. “We do have an actual nighthunt to take care of, you know. Then you two can have your way with me.” Jingyi gave an exaggerated sigh at the distance between the two of them, then reached for Sizhui. Sizhui gave him a peck on the lips before turning to Rulan with a bit of a sheepish look. Rulan was instantly suspicious, especially as Sizhui cleared his throat.
“Well, about that actually...Wei Ying said he and Lan Zhan would take care of it and I could ‘spend my time in blissful union with my young love.’” Rulan and Jingyi shivered in unison.
“I guess he doesn’t know the whole truth then,” Jingyi mused, pushing Sizhui into Rulan’s lap, where the two of them happily kissed. “Did he give any mention to who he thought we were?”
“No,” Sizhui replied once he was done kissing Rulan. The flush on his face was now from being kissed and not embarrassment, which was a marked improvement in both Rulan and Jingyi’s eyes.
“I’m all for not talking anymore about either of them,” Rulan commented, leaning against Sizhui. Sizui’s fingers were gently carding through his hair, carefully separating the Jin coronet and golden beads from the mass of dark brown hair.
“Seconded,” Sizhui replied, leaning down to steal another kiss from Rulan. Jingyi nodded his agreement, happy to just watch the two of them kiss for now.
Though… “A-Yuan, poor A-Ling has been hard since I kissed him. You should give him some relief.” It was Rulan’s turn to blush as Sizhui rubbed against Rulan’s cock. Even through all their layers, Sizhui could feel the line of heat beneath him. Jingyi got up to close and lock the window with several charms- they’d have no interruptions until they were done.
Some time later, the three of them dozed together under the winter blankets on the bed. All were quite naked and sated. Rulan was in the middle, bracketed on both sides by Sizhui and Jingyi. He felt safe and pleasantly warm (not to mention sore). All the wealth of the Lanling Jin sect didn’t hold a candle to how these two Lans made him feel.
