Chapter Text
“Last time I checked, you told me I could be angry at you for the rest of my life and you wouldn’t blame me, so why do you always act so surprised?”
“I thought you would be better off without me! I just don’t know what you want!”
“You. I’ve always just wanted you.”
(Shouta’s POV)
Shouta woke earlier than he would prefer to the blaring of his alarm clock, he let out a heavy sigh as he ran his fingers through his tangled mess of hair. “This is going to be an agonizing week” he said aloud to himself as he stumbled out of bed. There were five days of lecture ahead of him at UA. Due to the recent surge of villain activity Nezu thought it necessary to do a full refresher course on hero codes and protocols, so that meant a week crammed into the UA auditorium with all the other pros, because of course attendance was mandatory. Luckily Nezu gave permission for him to listen over the loudspeaker from the safety of his own classroom.
He dragged himself into the building and plopped down in his seat, a stack of paperwork in front of him to keep him busy, and started what he could only assume would be the most boring week of his life. If only he could be that lucky.
Nezu’s voice droned on for hours, until they finally broke for lunch, and of course Hizashi and Nemuri tracked him down at this point.
“Could be worse I guess,” He grumbled to himself. “She could have found me instead.”
The three made small talk until lunch ended, despite Aizawa’s unwillingness to participate, and maybe it was the addition of his unwelcome company, but before he knew it the second half of the meeting was over and it was time to head home.
“That went a lot better than I expected” he thought as he walked in his door. “I didn’t have to hear the words ‘Hey Eraser!’ even once...” and for a minute, he was almost disappointed...
