Shouto still didn’t have any idea how he’d pulled it off, if Midoriya with his amazing quirk couldn’t do it. Maybe it was a sudden rush of adnerealine, he wasn’t sure.
However, this didn’t change the result – somehow he was fast enough to grab the front of Bakugou’s T-shirt and yanked him out of the villain’s gap, pushing the man through the portal with his other hand at the same time. It resulted in him falling through it as well, of course. As the portal closed behind him, he could hear Midoriya’s yell of his name and Bakugou’s wide arrange of different swearings.
In the end, that’s how he ended up restrained to a chair with his hands shackled at the hideout of the League of Villains.
”I thought I’d clearly told you to kidnap the one named Bakugou!” The blue haired one, who attacked them at USJ growled, looking at the others.
”The kid yanked the blonde one out of Dabi’s grasp in the last moment,” the one with the sunglasses explained and the boss’ – Shouto assumed the blue haired one was their leader – rage trended towards the patched up man.
Aforementioned villain only shrugged and spoke up nonchalantly.
”Our mission was to kidnap a U.A. student. That school had always had students with incredible skills.” If Shouto didn’t know any better, he’d sworn he heard proudness out of the man’s voice. ”There was a chance of failure.”
”If you take this so lightly, you’ll take what you get for your mistake just as much,” the bluenette growled, then stepped towards the other man with one of his hands up.
”Please, wait a moment, Shigaraki Tomura!” The portal man spoke up and Shouto noted that the boss’ name was Shigaraki. ”This young man is the son of the Number Two Hero. We can have advantages if we keep him alive.”
For a moment, Shigaraki contemplated what his fellow member said, then turned his back to Shouto and walked out of the bar. Having the feeling that the most emotionally unstable person had left, Shouto took a look at the members- each of them individually.
”I know we cannot kill him, but can’t we cut him up?” The girl with the vampire fangs asked, bunching to Shouto’s chair. ”Just a little bit, please, Kurogiri-san!”
Suddenly, the girl was harshly shoved to the side and a black coat blocked Shouto’s view of the other parts of the bar. Shouto heard the girl grumble, but it was more like a low his of an agitated cat.
”Restrain yourself, freak!” Shouto heard the burnt man’s voice. ”He won’t be valuable for us, if you cut him up like all the other victims of yours.”
”You are not fair, Dabi!” The girl said and from her voice, Shouto knew she was pouting. ”You just want him all to yourself!”
”Toga-chan is right!” The masked man said on an accusing voice. ”You knew his full name as well!”
The villain froze in mid sentence – the words catching him off-guard. However, in the next minute he groaned in agitation, as if he was saying ”I’m surrounded by idiots!”. If it hadn’t been for his current situation, Shouto would’ve even laughed.
”Of course I know it, idiots!” He said and Shouto knew from the tone that he was close to face palming. ”The kid got second at the fucking U.A. Sports Festival.” And again, there was that proud undertone in his voice.
”Why bother?” Shouto asked, silencing the others in the bar. Dabi turned around, then knelt down in front of him. Shouto narrowed his eyes, looking at him with distrust.
”Look, kid,” Dabi started, his voice being gentler than when he spoke to his peers, ”all of these idiots are crazy and can kill you in a heartbeat if they want to.” Shouto couldn’t hold back the shiver running down on his spine. ”And I think both of us can agree that you are more valuable for us alive, than dead, so I am going to look after you for awhile.”
”What are you planning to do with me?” Shouto asked, biting the inside of his mouth. His voice could not shake in front of these bastards!
”What the future holds for us, Shouto,” Dabi answered and as if something like that could be counted a proper reply, he stood up and walked back to his fellow members.
