Over a millennium into the future two advancements have altered the course of human history; the colonization of the galaxy and the creation of the positronic brain. Like most people left behind on an overpopulated Earth, Detective Dean Winchester had little love for the colonists or their robot companions. But when a prominent colonist is killed under mysterious circumstances Dean finds that not just his job is on the line, but possibly the fate of the human race.
