Work Text:

Free days weren’t something that often happened to Hawks. If he was lucky enough, he got one or two per year, but there were years when he didn’t have them at all. The Commission was always on his heals, giving him task after task, not caring if he was tired or needed some recharge. However, due to some kind of miracle, after his last report, the boss lady said that owing to the fact that he reported valuable information about the League he deserved some down time.

At first, Hawks didn’t know what to do with this free Friday. Luckily, it came to him that he hadn’t spent time with his best friend for a long time, so he gave her a call to find out if she was available. To his delight, Rumi said she was at his service – tho, she added that if that wasn’t the case, she’d have dropped any work to be with him.

”Thanks, bunny girl,” he said and Rumi chuckled from the other end of the phone.

”Stop flirtin’ with me, will ya? What would your boyfriend think?” Hawks blushed. Rumi was the only person he told that he had a boyfriend –although, he kept her in the dark when it came to his identity.

”Right, right!” Keigo answered with a wave of his hand. ”Just don’t forget to bring some takeout!”

It was already dark outside and Kegou leaned back on his couch with a long sigh. He hadn’t had a day that good since god knows when. He and Rumi talked for more than two hours, then watched some shitty romcoms and even had some light-rough-housing. Keigo had no idea how they managed that, though – it was called rough-housing after all.

He tilted his head back, resting it on the back of the couch. He was on the verge of falling asleep when he heard the balcony door opening, then closing.

”You weren’t on the streets today,” he heard his guest’s voice. Hawks cracked one of his eyes open, looking at Dabi from under his eyelashes. The look in his eye made Dabi’s eyebrow twitch in annoyance.

”Did you miss me?” He asked teasingly. Dabi only snorted, throwing a paper bag with the KFC emblem on it into his lap. ”Awe, you are so sweet!” Keigo cooed.

He should’ve told him that he’d already had KFC that day, but these kinds of gestures from his boyfriend always melted him from the inside. After washing his hand at the kitchen sink, Dabi flopped down on the couch beside him with a sigh. He leaned his head on the blonde’s shoulder, who started petting his hair.

”Hard day?” He asked and Dabi hummed, burrowing his fac into the crook of the others’ neck.

”Shigaraki can be a dick,” the raven answered and Hawks let out a chuckle. He pushed Dabi away, then climbed into his lap and kissed his forehead. ”I am surprised that those bastards let you have some time for yourself, tho.”

”You are really good at worsening the mood, eh?” Hawks asked, but before Dabi could answer, he leaned down, pressing his lips to the other’s. After they had parted, Dabi smirked up at him.

”Someone is really eager today~” he said and his smirk widened. ”Did you miss me too, birdie?”

”And what if I did?” Hawks asked back and Dabi’s mouth hung open from surprise. He wasn’t used to being loved – something Hawks was ready to change. He leaned down, but before he could kiss his lover again, Dabi pushed him back.

”Before things get serious, we should have some food. It is pretty disgusting after it gets cold.”
