Summary
During his two year journey alone Leonardo finds himself coming face to face with an unwanted welcome and he's taken to western Honduras, along the borderlines of Guatemala. Lost and eager to return to Costa Rica, he stumbles upon a lost ancient city frozen in time, in which a presence seems to call out to him.
Reaching out a hand to unknowingly and unwillingly offer his aid to the calls for help, he begins an unlikely alliance with not only a fabled God, but a village of his loyal followers. Who, in a turn of events, believe Leonardo to be the deity himself in the flesh.
Now he's found himself in a predicament where he's worshipped for a role that isn't his own, befriended by the only people who can help him though this troubling endeavour, all while he has to figure out just what this great God wants from him.
Because he only wants to return to his legacy back in Costa Rica, but it seems he has a duty to carry out first before he can go anywhere, whether he wants to or not.

Mikey stuck his tongue out, flipping around the battle.
Leah smiled at them, glad they’re able to be so carefree. With Sensei gone and Don Vizioso’s goons getting more and more motivated, things had been tense. Seeing them joking and teasing like this…

If he was cursed to be some in-between thing all his life, chasing the figure of his father and getting lost in his all-encompassing shadow, while his brothers watched on in pity.

“Raphael,” she said gently. “I know it’s difficult for you to use the past tense-”
“It’s not difficult, it’s just wrong,” Raph growled. He couldn’t look at her. This was the thing. The thing that made everyone look at him with pity. Like he was defective or broken. Like he was some stupid idiot who couldn’t get with the program.
But it was everyone else who was wrong. Raph was the only one who was living in reality.
“Leo. Isn’t. Dead.”
_________________It's been two years since Leo's disappearance. The city has erected a monument in Bryant Park to honor and mourn New York's bravest young hero.
While Leo's statue sits in the park, Raph sits in therapy. Everyone believes Raph is too traumatized, too wounded to process the loss of his brother.
But there's something Raph can't explain, something only he can feel, something everybody wants him to ignore. It whispers softly somewhere in the deepest corners of his mind: he's still here.
Raph listens.
