In one part of Seoul, seven boys—once best friends—have been reunited by inexplicable circumstances. Memories that never happened and pain that should never have been draw them closer as they fight to escape their fates.
On the other side of the city, another group of old friends comes together to discover that maybe they aren’t human at all. Maybe a greater purpose has been given them, something they can only truly understand by passing through the gateway into the Midworld: a land between life and death, where monsters lurk in the shadows and greatness waits for those who will take it.
