je te vois dans mes rêves

Summary:

Every time the night came, he plunged into the world of dreams.

"Aren't you tired of doing this every day?" said a deep voice accompanied by a hug from behind him.

He recognized the voice immediately, as this was the voice of a man who appeared in every one of his visions. A man he did not know a name, a man he did not know a face, a man he knew nothing about. The only thing he knew about this man was he loved him. Or more specifically, Jimin in every past life had loved him.

Or

Jimin had been having weird dreams of the same man with different scenarios for over a year. He didn't know who it was until he met Namjoon.

Work Text:

Every time the night came, he plunged into the world of dreams.

It was a clear day; the sky was blue, birds were chirping nearby. The sound of children playing and busy streets could be heard even from afar. Jimin was sitting in a room he did not recognize gazing out the window. Judging by the view he was seeing; he could tell that he was pretty high up, maybe on some kind of hill. He saw the ocean glistening far away. Below him was a garden filled with various types of flowers: roses, lavender, marigold, and many more that he couldn't name. He may not know where he was, but he could tell that the place was very beautiful.

While he was still figuring out what was happening and where he might be, someone opened the door and entered the room. He heard a person walking towards where he was sitting, but there was something very deep in his consciousness telling him everything was safe.

"You're back, I see," Jimin-in-whatever-past-life-this-was replied. "How was the meeting?" he asked while turning around to face the man. He was wearing a tunic with an overcoat, pants, and boots that almost reached up to his knees: all in black, like those medieval noblemen Jimin had seen in movies. Everything accentuated his tall and well-proportioned figure. Jimin didn't have to see his face to know that this man was handsome.

"It went well, at least I guess so," the man continued, "Other lords also agree that the king's brother is more suitable, taking the king down would do more good for the people. If everything is in place according to plans before the flower festival, the new king should be crowned a week after that. And with a new king, we will have enough crops to feed the whole kingdom for many winters. People will no longer starve to death like they are now," he said with such confidence that Jimin couldn't help but feel convinced. Even though the man sounded so sure, there were tiny voices in his head whispering all the what if's. Jimin felt fear crawling up his body, and it slipped out of his mouth.

"But what if it fails? What will happen to you?" Jimin asked; his voice trembled with worries and fear. With shaky breaths and little courage he had left, he continued, "What will happen to us?"

The man in his dreams clearly sensed his fear, he hugged Jimin tighter pulling him closer to his chest. He stroked his hair and whispered sweet nothings in his ear trying to give him the assurance he desperately needed. "It will succeed, it has to," at this point, Jimin was sobbing into his chest. He could feel the consuming fear from another Jimin even in his sleep. "What I'm trying to do, what we are trying to do, it will succeed. I won't let anything happen to us. I will never let anything happen to us. Never." he replied; his voice wavered. Jimin heard a small sob above him, and he felt a droplet in his hair, then another and another. That was when he realized that the man, too, was scared, but he still held him tight. Jimin closed his eyes and thought to himself that he could never love anyone like he loved this man, and no one could love him the way this man did.

And with those last thoughts of the past Jimin, he woke up from his sleep.

"Okay, let me get this straight. You dreamed of this man again, and this time he was some kind of a nobleman who also started a rebellion." Taehyung said, summarizing his dream of last night into a sentence.

"Yeah, that pretty much it," Jimin replied while trying to suck up a boba in his tea. "Honestly, if the next dream I see him at the White House as a president, I won't be surprised." Yes, he would be very surprised, but he was trying to lighten up the mood because he knew his friends were worried about him having so many dreams about the same man for over a year. Had any of his friends been like this, he'd be worried too.

"I gotta say, you have a pretty exciting past. No, that's not right, pasts," Jungkook chimed in to join the conversation.

Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook were sitting in a cafe near their old college. It was rare for all three of them to be free at the same time, so they used this opportunity to hang out with each other on the campus. The weather today was nice, and hanging out with friends made it a lot nicer. Taehyung started a conversation by asking if he still had any dreams, that is how they ended up talking about them.

"Yeah, I always wonder why your past lives are all colorful, Jiminie," Taehyung started. "Especially your boyfriend, first he was a village leader, then a prince. Then a what, pirate?"

"He used to be a village leader, a prince, a super rich merchant, a general, and the most recent: a nobleman," Jungkook recalled cheerfully. Jimin couldn't help but snort, "You seem to remember better than me, Jungkook-ah."

Jimin wasn't so surprised Jungkook remembered everything, he was a very smart kid after all, but he knew that Jungkook was very interested in these kinds of things: fate, destiny, past life, etc.

The first time Jimin told his friends about his weird dreams, it was Jungkook who recommended him to see a psychic. Normally, he would never believe these things as he was a man of science, but he also believed science had no answers for him in this situation. He went to see a psychic Seokjin, Jungkook's brother, recommended. Never in his twenty-five-year-old life had he ever been to one, it was a new experience to say at least. The psychic told him the man was his lover from his past lives, every single one of them, and will continually be, so he stuck with this explanation as there seemed to be no better ones.

"What? Are you jealous? Don't worry, hyung, I'm not trying to steal your boyfriend." Jungkook joked making both of his friends giggled.

"Please, don't call him that. I don't even know him," Jimin said. "And it's very weird. So, I would be very thankful if you don't address him like that."

"But don't you think it's unfair, like think about it, you have to be with one person for every life you live. What if he's a weirdo? What if he's abusive? What if he's not even gay?!" Taehyung wondered out a little too loud. Of course, Jimin had thought about that a lot. It wasn't fair for both of them to be stuck together every time they were born. And what if either of them was raised in a horrible environment, wouldn't that affect their lives, both individually and together? He would always push back his too many what if's, and tried not to think about it too much, but it kept popping up in his mind.

He hated the idea of being with someone just because he had been with them in the past. Sure, every dream he had had until now, the man had been very respectful and loving towards him. But those were just dreams, right? It wasn't real. Even if, according to the psychic, it was pretty much real, how could he be so sure? Maybe the guy was selling drugs right now as he sat in a cafe with his friends. Maybe he was going on a date with a nice girl. Maybe he already died since his birth or in an accident. Or maybe he wasn't even born yet. Who knew? Because Jimin, for sure, didn't. He should've gone to a psychiatrist instead of a psychic, yes, he should do that.

"Don't think about it too much, hyung," Jungkook spoke up when he saw his friend spacing out and staring at nothingness for quite a while.

"Yeah, just live your life. It's not like you're chained to whoever-he-is. Give yourself a chance, man," Taehyung agreed along with his friend. "Anyways, I heard you got a new job at a dancing school. How was it?" he asked, changing the subject to make his friend feel less uncomfortable. Jimin's eyes lit up at the mention of the job he loved so much.

"It was great! My colleagues are very nice, even though I've worked there for only a month. And everyone is super talented, especially Hoseok hyung. He makes me wanna enroll in his class," at this moment Jimin was beaming at his friends. He had always loved dancing ever since he was a child, so getting a job to be a dance teacher was very exciting to him. He couldn't wait to go teach his classes. "But enough talking about me, I wanna know about you too! Jungkook-ah, how's your new video going?"

Jungkook was a photographer and occasional director but he had many hobbies, and Jimin wondered why and how he was great at all of them. Recently, he got into filming and editing videos all by himself. Jimin starred in many of them, he knew he was Jungkook's favorite actor, thank you.

"It's going great, just a few touch-ups and it'll be ready for posting," Jungkook answered excitingly.

"Ooh, is this the one we filmed in an amusement park?" Taehyung asked

"No, that's the next one. This one is Seokjin on our uncle's strawberry farm,"

"A handsome guy and your uncle's farm? You marketing demon." Jimin teased at the same time Taehyung shouted, "Why didn't you take me there as well?! I love strawberries!"

"Actually, it was Seokjin's idea, so the actual marketing demon is him," Jungkook giggled at the memory of his brother proposing the idea to him with a PowerPoint presentation. "And I'll take you there one day, don't worry, hyung."

"You'd better be. Imagine the sales after people seeing me, a very handsome guy, along with your brother, also a very handsome guy. The charts will explode, Jungkook-ah, explode!"

Jimin couldn't help but laugh at his friends exchanging ideas on how to increase the sales using Jungkook's youtube channel as an advertising platform. He was really grateful to be with his friends. They seemed to work magic to his mind, making him forget all the worries he had with his weird dreams. They made him feel comfortable and normal; they made him feel safe.

Jimin had just returned home after a long day of teaching his classes. Right now, there was nothing he wanted more than a nice dinner, a shower, and his bed. Oh, how much he would love to just lie down on his bed and call it a day. When he was thinking of doing just that, he heard a little scolding in his head. Take your lenses off, and for god's sake take a shower before going to bed. That voice belonged to his favorite colleague and hyung, Jung Hoseok, or how he would refer to as his second mother. When Jimin was still adapting to his new job, Hoseok was the one who really hit it off very well with him. And in no time, Jimin was promoted to be his 'favorite dongsaeng'

He chuckled at the memory while taking his lenses off and getting ready to take a shower. Then, he would order some food, and after that off to bed. Easy. What he didn't know was that the man of his dream decided to pay him a visit again tonight.

Jimin saw a tall man with his back facing him, holding a torch in his hand, the other one holding him by his wrist. He did not see the man's face, but he could tell that he wasn't the man; the way he was dragging Jimin along was nowhere near gentle. The man of his dreams always treated him with gentleness, always. They seemed to be in some kind of tunnel: both of them pacing fast, almost running.

What in the world is happening? Where are we?

"We're almost there. Please, walk faster!" the man in front of him said. He sounded out of breath, so they must have been walking for a long time. Jimin didn't recognize his voice at all, confirming his thought that he was not his man.

"Where are we even going? We have to turn back! My husband is still there!" The voice that came out of him was shaky. It even cracked a few times, almost like his past self was... crying?

"He would meet us there, he said he would."

"How can you be so sure? Didn't you see how chaotic it was?" At this point he was shouting at the man, "Do you not care about him at all?"

The man turned to face Jimin, but like his every dream; he could not see the face clearly. "I do care about him, and I owe him more than I could ever repay. That's why I am here taking you to safety just like how he asked me to. He wants you to be safe more than anything, so please, come with me," he begged.

"I- I'm sorry. Please, lead the way," and at his final word, the scene changed.

Jimin was sitting under a huge ash tree, a man laying his head on his lap. There was a small wooden hut in front of him, next to it was a flower garden, and beyond that, all he could see was endless fields. The presence of the man on his lap was friendly and familiar. His man was back. Everything felt safe.

His fingers were carding through the man's hair, twisting and playing with it. The man's hands were fidgeting with some little blue flowers and vines. Creating a flower crown, perhaps? He was content with just watching him concentrating on trying not to ruin the flowers, he felt a chuckle leaving his lips in endearment.

"Don't laugh at me, I'm trying my best." This was definitely the voice of his man.

"I know, and I love every second of it."

"There, and now you're even prettier than usual," he said while putting a flower crown on his head. It was not perfect, definitely not the best, but he loved it nonetheless because his lover made it diligently for him. "I never know flower craft is difficult," the man pouted.

"How about we go back to your house? You can practice sword fighting, read your books all day, and do your lord work."

He got up from his lap and faced Jimin, his tone serious, "You know we cannot go back." Jimin was startled a little before mumbling his apology for bringing it up.

"You don't need to apologize, I'm sorry for making you feel uncomfortable. Forgive me, love." the man said as he was leaning in, and captured Jimin's lips with his. The kiss was soft and gentle but full of love, Jimin could feel the love they shared through one simple kiss. He never wanted it to end, he wanted to feel this feeling again and again. They pressed their foreheads together after they parted, content with being in each other's presence.

"I love you," those three words slipped through his lips easily, but he could feel that his past self meant every single word.

"I love you, too," the man replied with the same sentiment. "I will always love you, no matter how much time has passed, I want to be with you forever. If I ever had a chance to be born again, I would seek a way to be with you again."

"I know that if I would ever be born again, I would be born to be yours and only yours. Even if you were across the world from me, we will find each other. Nothing can keep us apart for too long," they smiled at each other and then leaned in to share a gentle kiss.

The scene shifted again, and this time Jimin saw his man lying on the floor beside him with a nasty slash across his abdomen, blood gushing out of the wound and pooling around his body. He wasn't dead, but close enough, his hand reaching out to Jimin. He tried to reach out his hand to hold his, that was when he realized that he, too, was slashed and in pain. He finally succeeded in reaching out his hand to his beloved one's with great difficulty and even greater pain

"I'm here, love. Hang in there," Jimin's voice was shaken with anxiety and fear. He heard footsteps and horses whinnying outside. There might be around five men outside, he wasn't sure, but he didn't care. He and his man were losing a lot of blood; they were dying. Why were they stabbed in their own hut anyway?

"Are you sure they're taken care of? Both of them?" said a man in his 40s which Jimin guessed was the leader.

"Yes, my lord, the traitors are probably dead by now," one of those men replied.

"Probably? I want them dead now; I can't risk any of them making it out alive and tell the whole kingdom I tried to kill them! Burn the house down, there are no neighbors to witness it anyway," he ordered.

"As you command, my lord," and then Jimin heard men passing orders around the hut.

"Love..." he heard a quiet voice calling out to him. He turned to face the man lying beside him, and a thousand feelings were rushing through his mind overwhelming him. "Don't be scared, you have me. I'm here with you."

Jimin felt tears falling from his eyes. He crawled with difficulty until he reached his beloved and held him tight. No words were spoken, they just held each other close, paying the pain no mind. He saw flames starting to burn their way in, creeping closer to where they were.

"I love you," his beloved mustered up the strength he had left to whisper to him, "May death never keep us apart."

"I love you, too," Jimin whispered back to him, "May death never keep us apart."

I could love him and only him, no one else. I would trust my whole life to him. May destiny always lead us to each other.

With those last thoughts, he felt the scorching heat on his skin as both of them were engulfed in flames, holding each other close. And the world went black.

Jimin woke up in cold sweats, he had never felt this strongly about his dreams before; this time, it just felt too real. He pulled up his shirt to see if there was a slash on his body, he was relieved to find none. The dream he just had was different from what he was used to. Normally, his dreams were very peaceful and sweet: just him and his man living their lives and loving each other. He had never seen the end of their lives, ever. To say that he was overwhelmed wouldn't do what he was feeling justice; he had too many emotions and thoughts rushing through his brain.

His hands shakily reached for his phone on his nightstand. He checked the time and saw that it was almost nine in the morning already. It was a great thing that he had a class in the afternoon, or else he would be late for his work. He stared at his phone blankly, contemplating if he should call his friends and tell them or not. After a few minutes, he decided to call one of his friends.

"Hello, Jiminie. You're up early," the person on the other end of the call answered, and it wasn't his friend, but his boyfriend.

"Oh hi, Yoongi hyung, is Taehyung around there? I need to talk to him a little."

"He's taking a shower right now, I can tell him to hurry up if you want."

Jimin paused for a few moments to think, he was weighing the options in his head. Did he really want to tell his friend right away? Or did he want to figure it out on his own? After a moment of silence, he finally chose the second option.

"No, no, it's fine, I'll just talk to him later, hyung."

"Do you want me to tell him to call you back later?"

"It's okay, it's nothing urgent anyway. Thank you, hyung," Jimin thought to himself that maybe he needed to talk to someone else, maybe Jungkook if he was up already. Or maybe no one at all.

"If you say so, Jimin-ah."

"Bye, hyung. Thank you."

"You're welcome," and with that, their call ended.

Jimin sighed to himself, thinking if he should call Jungkook at the moment, but the younger tended to stay up at night and wake up late if he had no work that day. And even if he was up, he would probably be busy with his work. So, Jimin decided to let it go and go on with his day ahead of him.

He walked to his desk on the opposite side of his room, and opened his special diary; the one he specifically used to write about his strange dreams. He generally forgot his dreams right after he woke up, but he could recall every detail about these special dreams from what he was seeing to how he was feeling and how intense it was. He would always note everything down and add his own thoughts about it. After he finished writing, he had his breakfast, took a shower, and got ready to head out to his work.

Jimin arrived at the dance studio around an hour before his class, so he would have some time to stretch and revise what he was teaching today. While he was at it, he couldn't stop thinking about what he had seen the night before. There was a possibility that the man of his dreams and he had been destined together because of their final wishes to be together, had what the psychic had told him was right. He wanted to hit his past self in the head and ask why he had done that. It wasn’t fair to both of them, but they probably hadn’t thought about it that far ahead. Right, they were dying and losing a lot of blood, their brains must have malfunctioned when they said those words. He was so distracted by his thoughts and so focused on perfecting his moves that he did not hear someone enter the room.

"Oh, someone's working hard today!" said a loud cheerful voice of his colleague, Hoseok.

"So rich coming from someone who always arrives at least two hours before class and keeps practicing after," Jimin teased and stopped the music to speak with the other properly.

"This kid knows way too much," Hoseok let out a little chuckle, "But you seem a little bit tired. Are you okay?"

Jimin had no idea how Hoseok was able to tell; he always noticed when Jimin wasn't in his best condition. One time, Jimin bumped his hips to his desk and came to work, Hoseok was the only one out of all his colleagues who noticed, even though he barely felt the pain himself.

"I don't know, hyung. Maybe I am a little bit."

"Do you sleep well at night?"

How did he manage to hit the nail on the head? "I slept like a baby. I guess I slept too much?" aside from Taehyung and Jungkook, no one knew about his strange activity during sleep. He was pretty sure if he told other people, they would think he was out of his mind. Hoseok was definitely skeptical of his answer, but he didn't push, and Jimin was very grateful for that.

"Hoseok-ah, I've been looking for you everywhere," they heard a new voice from the entrance.

Every hair on his body stood up, he knew this voice; he had heard it many times before. He just couldn't pinpoint where, but it was definitely familiar. Perhaps too familiar. They both turned their heads to where the voice came from.

Jimin saw a tall man standing at the entrance; he was wearing a white hoodie, with black sweatpants. He could see some blond strands peeking out from under the man's beanie. His face was surely handsome, and Jimin had a strange feeling creeping up his mind. He felt familiar with this man as if he had seen him before.

Hoseok skipped his way to the newcomer and hugged him with great excitement, "Namjoon-ah, what are you doing here?" he asked the man who now Jimin knew was called Namjoon.

"I came here to see you, of course," Namjoon chuckled, "Your mom asked me to give this to you," he said while handing some kind of package to Hoseok.

"Thank you! Right, Namjoon, meet my colleague, Jimin. Jimin, this is Namjoon, he's my friend," Hoseok introduced them, and Namjoon finally looked at Jimin for the first time.

When their eyes met, Jimin saw flashes of all his dreams he had ever had before his eyes, but they were different as this time he could see Namjoon there in his visions clearly. The blurry face of his man to the voice he was so familiar with, everything became so clear as their owner was standing right in front of him. All the love, the affection, the adoration he received in the past came from this man.

He stood there frozen, he could only stare at Namjoon. He didn't know how long it was, but it felt like they were staring at each other for eternity.

Jimin felt his knees going weak before they decided to give up on his weight and made him collapse. Namjoon reached Jimin even before Hoseok could understand what was happening, in time to save him from a concussion. No, Jimin didn't faint. He was fully conscious, his knees just suddenly got tired of defying gravity and simply gave up on his weight. Namjoon was even more handsome up close, and it wasn't doing a good thing to his heart.

"God, Jimin, are you okay?" Hoseok asked with obvious concern in his voice while Namjoon helped him stand up on his feet.

"I'm alright, I'm alright. My damn knees just decided to rest," Jimin joked hoping that it would lighten up the mood, it surely didn't work.

Hoseok looked extremely worried. Namjoon hadn't said a word, he had his arms wrapped around Jimin as if he was afraid that Jimin would fall again if he let go. It normally would feel quite weird to have a stranger's arms wrapping around you, but he felt strangely familiar with Namjoon's touch, it felt almost normal.

Jimin looked at his waist, seeing Namjoon's arms there, his face heated up, "Thank you so much, but I think you can let go now. I don't think I would fall down again," Jimin tried his best to smile at him, it came out a little weak, but the other man didn’t seem to mind.

"Okay," was all Namjoon said as he hesitatingly let go of him. His face was clouded with worries as anyone else would be if they saw someone fall down out of the blue. Jimin tried not to look at him much, he was afraid something weird would slip out his mouth. They were all silent for a few minutes while Hoseok was checking his body as thoroughly as possible. He sighed in relief when he found no injuries.

"I've made up my mind," Hoseok spoke up. "You're going to rest today, I'll take care of your class."

"Hyung, I'm fine! I'm perfectly fine, I can teach!" Jimin protested.

"I know you can teach, I know you'll teach as perfectly as you usually do even if in this state, but that means your body's going to suffer later. No hard feelings, but if anything worse happens, it's not gonna be worth it. So, please, rest. "

And how could he not do as his hyung asked, he had a soft spot for him, "Okay, hyung," he whispered as an answer.

"You'll be back in perfect condition tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll do my best with your class."

"You always do your best in every class, hyung," he smiled at Hoseok, and received a brighter one in return. Jimin felt slightly guilty for not being able to teach and for taking his hyung’s precious time. The older just waved him off and told him it was fine.

"I know it might be a little weird request and it's probably too fast to ask this, but, Namjoon, can you take care of Jimin? At least make sure he gets home safely," Hoseok turned to his friend.

Jimin felt his heart almost burst right out of his chest at his hyung's words, he did not expect that at all. Taking a rest? Sure, that wasn't difficult. But having someone who he barely knew accompanying him home? That was unexpected.

Namjoon, who had gotten silent a long time ago, looked as surprised as he was. Jimin was about to protest his colleague, but before he could even open his mouth, Namjoon said, "Of course. I'll wait at the main entrance," with that he started walking away to where he said he would wait for him.

Hoseok smiled at him brightly, "Don't worry, he's a great guy. You'll be in good hands."

Jimin was contemplating whether protesting now would make any difference. He sighed in defeat knowing Hoseok wouldn’t change his mind, besides Namjoon was already waiting for him, and he did have courtesy. He gave him a small smile and started gathering his stuff. He said goodbye to Hoseok and left the studio, walking his way to the man of his many dreams.

Jimin saw Namjoon standing outside of the school, he seemed to be lost in thoughts and didn't seem to notice him at all. He must admit that he was surprised to see him wait, had the tables been turned, he'd probably say no and head home immediately. He was thinking about sneaking past him, he was really tempted to, but this man was a friend of his favorite hyung, so he didn't want to leave a bad impression. Maybe he could try speaking him out of it.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," Jimin called out and smiled apologetically at Namjoon.

"Don't worry about it. It was pretty hectic back there, wasn't it? Kim Namjoon," he said while holding his hand out and offered him a smile. He could see his dimples on his cheeks, he couldn't help but think that he had the cutest dimples he had ever seen in his life.

"Park Jimin," he said, shaking his hand with the taller, "To be honest, I didn't think you were actually gonna wait for me."

"Well, I'm not heartless. And Hoseok was really worried about you, I just wanted to make him feel better."

"Oh," the word came out sounding a little bit disappointed. He wasn't sure why it was like that. Of course, he would do it for his friend, Jimin was a stranger. He was super kind to even accept the request. "I think I'm okay now. I don't feel tired anymore; I can get home fine on my own," he assured the man in front of him.

"Are you sure? What if something happens on your way back, who'll take care of you? What if you pass out while driving and crash your car? It's too dangerous," Namjoon sounded genuinely worried about his well-being, and it made his heart flutter a little.

"Well, first of all, I don't drive; I ride the subway," Namjoon snorted a little bit, "That makes the two of us," he said.

"Second, I'm really grateful, but to speak frankly, we're still strangers." Even though Jimin was somewhat familiar with his presence, he must accept the truth that they didn't know each other at all; even the word 'stranger' sounded too intimate to call their relationship.

"Makes sense, but you're friends with Hoseok, and that clearly says something. And I really want to help, okay? It's no problem at all unless it makes you feel uncomfortable, then I'll stop," he sounded so genuine with what he said. Jimin was still hesitating, but it could be a great chance to learn even a little more about this man. He wasn't going to turn down an opportunity to spend time with a hot guy.

"I'm not really uncomfortable, I guess?" Weighing the options in his mind, Jimin continued, "Also, you're Hoseok hyung's friend, so at least you're trustworthy. Lead the way, Namjoon-ssi."

"Hyung is fine, you don't need to be so formal," he beamed a smile at him, and for a second, Jimin thought he might faint again because of it. And together, they walk alongside each other to the station.

During the ride, Jimin learned quite a few things about Namjoon, like he enjoyed reading, biking, and going to museums. He told him he worked as a lyricist and producer in an indie music label. And that he had been with Hoseok since high school, even dated him at one point, but they mutually settled back at being friends.

It shouldn't bother Jimin as much as it actually did. He couldn't stop thinking about how cute they must have looked together. Hoseok was a great person, how could anyone ever compare to that level of greatness? Jimin pushed the thought back, he shouldn't be thinking about it. Just because he knew Namjoon was the man from his dreams didn't mean they would end up together like so. All of that aside, Namjoon was great to have around, he was really comfortable in his presence, and he really wanted them to hang out more.

They were walking beside each other to Jimin's apartment, a comfortable silence surrounding them. They were getting closer and closer to the destination, which meant their time together was running out. He almost wanted to take a detour just so they could be together a little longer. He brushed off the idea, he should be grateful for what they had now.

"This is the place," Jimin said when they reached his place, "Thank you so much, hyung."

"You're welcome," and Namjoom seemed hesitant for a bit. Jimin watched him open and close his mouth for a few times like he was trying to say something, and he waited patiently. "I'll see you later," he finally spoke out.

"See you later, hyung," he said and watched Namjoon turn back and walk his way to the train station.

To be honest, he was a little disappointed that the man did not say anything else after that, he pouted all the way up to his room. Maybe next time. He thought to himself. If there's even one, that is.

Jimin had just come out of his bathroom after having finished his shower when he heard his phone ring. He walked over to his desk and looked at the screen. The caller ID showed that Taehyung was calling him, even though he said it wasn't urgent, Yoongi still told his friend to call him as soon as he could anyway. He hit the accept button, and almost immediately, Taehyung's voice boomed through the speaker.

"Jimin-ah! What's going on? Do you need help? Should I call the police?"

"If you really had to, don't you think it's a little too late? I mean, it's been hours," Jimin really appreciated his friend's concern, but he couldn't stop giggling.

"This is not something you should be laughing at, Jimin. Well, I mean you can laugh about it a little. But seriously, what's wrong? You never call me that early."

He knew what his friend was saying was true, normally he preferred texting his friends unless he really freaked out at the moment. And Taehyung had been his soulmate since forever, it wasn't that hard to know that something was abnormal.

"Well, I had a dream again, and it's really weird this time."

"Wait, hold on a second, let's make a group call. I'm dragging Jungkook in," Taehyung interrupted. He didn't consider that, and it was great his friend did, he would hate telling the story more than once.

"What's up, hyung? Everything good?" Jungkook's voice could be heard from another end of the call.

"Jimin had a dream again."

"Wait, what? Again? Don't they usually come monthly? It's only been a week since the last one," Jungkook sounded confused, and honestly, he was too.

"You tell me. Okay, now that I've got everyone's attention, I'll start now, thank you," and Jimin started relaying his latest dream to his friends. After he finished, there was a suffocating silence from both his friends.

He started to think that they might have fallen asleep during his story until Jungkook spoke up, "That's strange."

Jimin huffed a bit, "Yeah, tell me what I don't know."

"You've never dreamed about the end, have you? So, why did you? Every dream you've had before were those out of romantic movies

"I wish I knew why too, not gonna lie," Jungkook had a point, and he had been wondering the same thing ever since he woke up this morning.

It was definitely not a coincidence that he also met Namjoon the same day he dreamed about him and his lover dying. Jimin was conflicted about whether he should tell his friends about Namjoon or not, he really wanted to know him more before he told his friends, but he wasn't good at keeping secrets. This time he could try.

"Would you like to go and see that psychic again?" Taehyung proposed.

"I'm not sure, it's probably nothing big." He didn't want to go there again, not that he had anything against it, but he didn't want any more input to his brain. Not when he already met Namjoon. He had something for the man, that he knew, and he wouldn't want it to be because of his past or destiny or those kinds of things. He wanted them to get to know each other like how normal people did.

"I don't know, Jimin-ah, my hunch is telling me otherwise."

"But you don't have to if you don't want to, hyung. It could be something unimportant like you said," Jungkook said as if sensing his emotions, and Jimin thanked him silently in his mind.

"Well, I think that's all it is. If anything new happens, you guys will be the first ones to know. I'll get going. Need to revise some moves for my class."

"Alright, Jimin-ah. Have a great night!"

"Goodnight, hyung!"

"Goodnight," he ended the call and lay down on his bed for a few minutes before getting up and walking to his desk to write his diary. Then he danced a little to get his extra energy out his body as he didn't get to teach earlier, and after that, he was ready for bed.

He couldn't sleep immediately right after he lay down. He stared blankly at his ceiling and started replaying the events that had happened that day. It was the strangest day in his life, he met someone who he had never thought he'd ever meet. It was surprising how the man in his dreams can be easily replaced with Namjoon, even though they hadn't known each other before. He wondered if Namjoon had dreams about it too, but he didn't seem shocked, he didn't faint, he didn't blush in his presence, unlike him. He seemed like a normal person. Perhaps Jimin was the only one who had been getting these visions.

He couldn't stop thinking about Namjoon, he really wanted them to work out. But he felt guilty knowing who Namjoon was; he swore he wasn't intrigued by him only because of his dreams. The older was a great guy, he was kind, awesome, and simply a fine specimen. He swore to himself that he wouldn't let any part of his visions affect his perception of this man. He wanted to know him as Kim Namjoon, not as his destined past lover. And he wanted him to know about him as Park Jimin. If they didn't work out, that would be fine, at least Jimin tried. He would not let his destiny or whatever decide his partner for him, he would choose for himself.

His eyes started getting heavier and heavier, his mind began to slip into slumber, and in no time, he was sleeping soundly like a baby. Fortunately, nothing visited him in his dreams. It was probably the best night he had ever slept since his weird dreams had started.

It had been a month since Jimin first met Namjoon, and he was sure he wasn't imagining it, he really saw Namjoon very often. Namjoon came to the dance studio almost three times a week, which was strange because Jimin had never seen him around before, now he was everywhere. Maybe he hadn't paid attention, but how could he miss such a hot guy wandering around his workplace like this? Namjoon said he came to see Hoseok most of the time but always managed to come when Hoseok was teaching his class. Jimin wasn't complaining, though. It was great spending time with Namjoon while they waited for Hoseok to show up. Today wasn't one of those days.

Jimin had just finished his first class and was waiting until 1.30 p.m. when his second class would begin. He had about two hours till then, maybe he should ask Hoseok to have lunch with him as they always did. He headed to the staff changing room where he knew Hoseok was.

"Hyung, would you like to grab something with me?" he asked cheerfully.

"Yeah, of course," Hoseok continued, "Just wait a bit, I'm almost done."

A few minutes passed, Hoseok finally got out of the changing room. They headed to their usual burger place. This is where they always had lunch together and where they started bonding.

Jimin was scrolling through his phone when the older spoke up, "Do you want to choreograph a song?"

Jimin's head shot up in surprise, "That's kinda out of nowhere, hyung."

"There is a company looking for a choreographer for their new song, I think you'll be perfect."

"Come on, hyung. You clearly are a better option than me."

"They want someone who does contemporary dance which you know I never went anywhere near that. That's why I'm offering this to you," then Hoseok munched on his burger.

"You think I can do it?" he was a decent dancer, but it didn't stop him from doubting himself. There were many people who danced a million times better than him, more amazing than him.

"Yes, I do. I'm very certain. I know what you can do, Jimin-ah. You're one of the best out there! Namjoon even agrees already!"

"Wait, what?" he wasn't sure if he had misheard it or not. But he was sure this conversation had nothing to do with the other man.

"Oops. Let's pretend you didn't hear that last bit, okay?" Hoseok fidgeted a little in his seat.

"No, hyung. You gotta tell me what this is about. What does Namjoon hyung have to do with this?" the older seemed to admit the inevitable as he had nowhere to run to and avoid answering the younger. He put down his lunch and looked Jimin in the eyes.

"Well, Namjoon asked me if I had any recommended choreographer for his new project. I might have or not have suggested your name, and now he is sending it to the company. You might get an email in a few days."

Jimin blinked a few times, surprised with the opportunity his hyung gave him out of nowhere, and more, he believed in him enough to suggest his name. He stood up and gestured his hyung to do the same. Even though Hoseok was still confused, he complied anyway. He hugged him as tight as he could and whispered 'thank you's in his ears. The older couldn't help but feel so endeared by the younger, he hugged back with the same enthusiasm.

"I thought you were going to punch me across the face, not gonna lie," the older teased while they sat down once again.

"Well, do you punch someone who got you a job? If you do, then I can still punch you."

"You brat," Hoseok laughed out, "After you got the email, contact Namjoon to talk about the song, he'll tell you what you need to know."

"Wait, hyung, you said Namjoon hyung was only suggesting. It isn't 100% sure that I'll get the job."

"You don't know what kind of power Namjoon holds in his workplace, do you? Let's just say that he's very persuasive,” Hoseok took a bite of his burger before continuing, “One last thing, you'll have to meet up with him quite a lot to discuss pretty much everything. Namjoon loves talking in person. You okay with that?"

Jimin thought about it for a second, he had a lot of thought on his mind: worries, fears, and doubts. He was afraid that he might be able to do it well. He didn't want to disappoint both Hoseok and Namjoon. And more, he had to spend a lot of time with Namjoon, his colleague's ex-boyfriend who he was falling for. He was more than okay to spend time with Namjoon, but would his colleague be? Even though Namjoon had told him they ended on good terms, it still wasn't good to have something for friends' exes. Maybe that was why he and Namjoon never really got anywhere the past month.

"Will you, hyung?" it seemed to have slipped past his lips, "Will you be okay?"

"With what? You getting the job?" he asked, completely baffled by what the younger one said earlier.

Jimin shook his head before looking the older in the eyes, mustering up his courage to ask, "With me spending time with Namjoon."

Hoseok seemed taken aback a little, and Jimin was cursing at himself for not stopping his mouth. The older replied, "Yes. Was that even a question? Why? You like him?" he looked at Jimin a bit, then he seemed to realize something. His mouth formed an O shape, making Jimin confused.

"Are you afraid I won't be okay with you and Namjoon dating because I was his ex?" Jimin gasped a few times, trying to deny the 'dating' part because it had no truth in it at all.

"Jimin-ah, if you already know I'm his ex that means you know how we ended."

"Well, I do, but it's still not a good thing to do to a friend."

"Namjoon and I as boyfriends ended ages ago, now we're friends. And I won't stop a friend from dating someone," Hoseok gave him a reassuring smile, " If you're asking me for my blessing, I'm telling you; you don't need one. Namjoon can date whoever he chooses, and you can date whoever you choose. I'm here to support your decision."

"Hyung..." he trailed off, feeling extremely thankful. He really didn't want to hurt Hoseok, had he told him he wasn't okay with them, he would stop immediately.

"Is that why your progress with him never got anywhere?" the older teased, and Jimin took all the thankfulness he had for him back.

"It's not like that, hyung. It's just, we never see each other except in the dance studio, and I don't know him much."

"But you know you like him, right?" he nodded, face rapidly reddened. The other one seemed chill about this new information, "Then, that's great enough. Don't you date to get to know each other? I'm rooting for you, Jimin-ah."

And a few days after that, he really did get an email asking if he would like to choreograph a song. He replied with utmost enthusiasm, excited to be given a chance to do something he loved. After he accepted the job, he was contacted by one of the producers to arrange their meeting and discuss how they wanted the choreograph to turn out. He couldn't contain his excitement, days and days he had been thinking about the moves. More importantly, he couldn't wait to see his crush.

This is the first time he would be seeing Namjoon outside of his workplace, and at Namjoon’s instead. Maybe their relationship’s dynamic revolved around work.

He stood in front of a white 5-storey building, checking the location to make sure that he was at the right place, he even arrived 20 minutes before the appointed time; his friends would never believe him, and when he was certain he walked into the building. He was greeted by a security guard, asking if he had an appointment and permission, then he was told to go to the third floor.

He arrived on the third floor and saw someone holding two cups of coffee walking by. He was sure he knew that person, he was his best friend's boyfriend after all.

"Hyung? What are you doing here?" Jimin said, unsure if he had mistaken or not, though, he was pretty sure he hadn't. Yoongi is someone hardly to be mistaken.

"Jimin? And what do mean what am I doing here? This is my workplace, so I should be the one who asks you," to be honest, he was quite surprised by his hyung's answer. He had known Yoongi for a long time, even though it was mainly about how great a boyfriend he could be through Taehyung. He knew Yoongi worked as some kind of producer/composer for a music label, he just didn't know he worked here.

"I had no idea you work here," Yoongi rolled his eyes and chuckled a bit at that, "Anyways, I'm here to meet a producer. Can you show me the way?"

"If you want me to show you the way, at least be more specific than that. There are a lot of producers around here," in contrast with his words, Yoongi started walking and leading him as if he knew who Jimin was supposed to meet.

Along the way, Jimin took in his surroundings: long hallways with rooms to the left and right, directions written on the floor, a small break room for the staff at the end of the hallways. They turned right and walked through a hallway which, he guessed, led to where the studios for producers are located.

"I'm here to meet Namjoon hyung for his new project."

Yoongi's eyebrows lifted up, he asked, "Hyung?" Jimin told him about how he got to know Namjoon through his colleague, leaving the man-of-his-many-dream part and the crush part, of course. They stopped in front of a door with opaque glass, the shelves next to the door were filled with various figurines and toys. Yoongi used his elbow to turn the knob and his body to push the door open, as he was holding two cups of coffee in his hands, then entered without knocking.

"Namjoon-ah, there's someone here to see you!" he shouted to a person inside, who was obviously Namjoon; he was sitting at his desk in front of his computer. He turned around to see Jimin and gave him a saccharine sweet smile showing his pretty dimples while murmuring a few words of permission to enter. He was wearing a normal white T-shirt and faded blue jeans, his blond hair was styled nicely opening up his handsome face for the world to witness, and last but definitely not least; he was wearing glasses. He knew he was a goner.

Jimin stood at the door, hesitating to get inside any further, and Yoongi called out to him, "Why are you standing there? Take a seat." He did as his hyung said, sitting down on a couch and laying his bag beside him.

"Please, Yoongi hyung, don't be rude to my guest," Namjoon was serious about it, and Jimin thought he couldn't fall for this man even more but surely he could. Yoongi only chuckled and handed him a cup of coffee.

"It's okay, hyung. We know each other," Jimin spoke up, and Namjoon seemed to relax, but strangely he seemed to be pouting, "Is that so?"

"Don't go sulk in the corner after this, Namjoon-ah. You'll get another chance to impress a hot guy," Yoongi sipped his coffee, a smirk hidden by the cup.

"Haha, very funny, hyung," Namjoon deadpanned, or at least tried to, as his face started to heat up really quick. Jimin could've noticed it easily if he hadn't been busy looking down the carpet, playing with the rings adorning his fingers.

"Yoongi hyung, are you in this project as well?" Jimin asked, knowing fully that the man wasn't, but still hoped he would say yes anyway. One part of him wanted to be alone with Namjoon as soon as possible; he would love to talk to the gorgeous man of his dreams, work or not, but at the same time, he felt really nervous at the thought of being left alone with him. He might do something stupid and made a fool of himself, so he desperately needed emotional support to help him with his internal crisis from someone he knew.

To his disappointment, but also his relief, Yoongi said, "No, I'm just here to deliver coffee. I'll head back to my studio now. Have fun doing whatever you two are planning to do!" he waved and exited the room. Namjoon sighed and shook his head a little, a smile on his face.

"You seem close to him," Jimin spoke up after the oldest had left the room.

"Yoongi hyung? Well, I've known him for quite a long time. Actually, he was the first one I met when I started working here."

"Kinda like me and Hoseok hyung," he smiled fondly at the memories.

"But you, how did you get to know him?" Namjoon asked while sipping his coffee.

"He's my best friend's boyfriend. I've known him for around three years? I don't know, I kinda forgot," then, they settled in the comfortable silence that wrapped around them naturally since they first met until now. They were so comfortable that they almost forgot what they were supposed to do. Luckily, Jimin remembered it first, "So... the project?"

"Oh, right. I almost forgot. Sorry," Namjoon looked a little sheepish, and Jimin wanted nothing more than going right in to squeeze his cheeks between his fingers.

"I must mention that it's very different from what we used to do. Everyone agreed to try something new," he stated, "We want to make it into an art film."

Namjoon looked at him expectedly, and Jimin's head was still catching up with his words. He could see where this was leading to, still, he wanted confirmation, so he waved his hand as a sign for the older to continue.

"We want you to be in the video."

Okay, that was unexpected. He thought the other one was talking music-wise or probably the kind of vibe they were expecting from his choreography to be in the finest form of artistry and elegance. Never had he ever thought he would have to be in a video. His face must've shown it because Namjoon quickly got up from his desk and came to the couch, taking Jimin's hands in his, "If you're okay with that, of course. I'm sorry we haven't said anything about you being in the video. It was approved after we sent you an email. You can turn it down if you don't want to, it's fine," he stuttered at some point, he must've been really nervous. And how could a six-feet-tall man be so adorable, he would never know.

"It's alright. I would love to do that, actually. I'm just really surprised, that's all," he smiled at the older sweetly trying to calm him down, and it seemed to work. Namjoon sighed, relieved. He sat down on a couch next to him, still holding his hands. And honestly, Jimin couldn't complain. He never wanted him to let go.

They talked about the concept of the song and artistic references that would be included in the video. They exchanged their opinions on what vibe the choreography should have to suit the music best. He learned so many new things from Namjoon; the man was super awesome himself already, and he loved it when the man talked about the music passionately. It made him even more attractive than he already was. The conversation flowed easily between them, before he knew it, three hours had already passed. Time really did fly whenever they were together, and Jimin thought he should leave the man to do his work.

"Thank you. Actually, I never told anyone this, but this project is quite personal for me, and I'm really glad you agreed to take the offer," Namjoon said while playing with the rings on his fingers; he really seemed so fascinated by them, and he couldn't understand why.

"Tell me more about it. Anything you are willing to share with me, I wanna know all about it," he said, trying to prolong his stay as long as possible, and Namjoon didn't tell him to leave already, so he guessed he must've liked the idea of him staying as well.

Namjoon smiled a bit before starting, "Will you call me crazy if I tell you? Will you believe me?"

"You have no reason to lie to me, so why wouldn't I believe you? And I don't know what you're telling me, but you're not crazy." Namjoon chuckled at the last bit, he looked a little nervous, but he started speaking anyway.

"Well, I never told anyone this before. I first wrote the song about a year ago because I started having some dreams," Jimin paid attention to the man in front of him closely, interested in what he was saying. "They were weird, you know? I dreamed of someone, at first it was natural, but then I saw them again and again. Even though I didn't see their face, I know they were the same person in every one of my dreams."

Oh, God. Why did that sound so familiar, unwelcomingly familiar? His heart was beating so fast he was afraid it might explode. He couldn't think of anything else but the fact that Namjoon did also get strange visions in his sleep as he did. He didn't want to listen to it anymore, anything could go wrong from this point. Anything.

"I didn't know who they were, of course. I went to see my therapist to check if my mental state was still doing okay and that I wasn't going crazy. And there was nothing, nothing wrong at all, but I still had those dreams from time to time. It might sound very scary, but all those dreams were just perfect." Jimin's head shot up in surprise, he inspected the handsome face in front of him closely, trying to see if he was joking or not.

"I know. It's weird, right? But they were just full of love, everything I saw with that man was just so beautiful, so magical. I started to get so fond of him, I started falling for him without actually knowing him. I craved those feelings, I wanted to feel love so powerful like what I felt in my dreams."

Jimin only grew more scared with each sentence out of the man's mouth, he wanted to scream at the other to stop. He wanted to scream that he didn’t want to hear it anymore while clawing his ears. He wanted to run out of Namjoon’s studio and get some air inside his suffocated self. But everything in his body seemed to have stopped functioning, he could only sit there frozen and silently wish the other would never say what Jimin thought he would.

Namjoon took a deep breath before continuing, "I couldn't find anyone like that until I met you. The flashes of my dreams just came to me when I saw you, I know it's you. It's you that I've wanted."

That was what Jimin feared the most. This wasn't what he wanted, not at all. How could Namjoon have wanted him when he didn’t know him? How could he say that with his whole chest that he wanted him just because Jimin looked like someone from his dreams and not because Jimin was Jimin.

Thoughts were clashing in his mind he couldn't form any sentence. The feelings that were rushing inside him made him feel even more suffocated. Tears spilled out from his eyes before he could even try to stop them. Namjoon kept him close to his chest, holding him tight, just like how he had done many times in his dreams. He couldn't just let it happen, for once he wanted the older not to hold him.

Shakily, Jimin reached out his hands and cupped the man's face. With tears streaming down his face, and Namjoon trying to wipe them off; he looked Namjoon straight in the eyes.

"You don't want me, Namjoon, you never have. No matter how many times you tell yourself that, the feelings you have for me aren't real; they simply don't exist." Namjoon tried to protest, but Jimin put his index finger on his lips, silencing him.

He knew he shouldn't do this, but his body had a mind of its own. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to Namjoon's, giving him a chaste kiss on the lips. The older was surprised but accepted it nonetheless, then he broke away and started to kiss him as lightly as a feather along the trails of Jimin's tears on both cheeks, chasing away the tears and making him cry even more.

"You don't love me, hyung. Don't say that you do."

"But I do love you, Jimin-ah. I love you so much." Jimin looked at him in the eyes once again.

"You love the person in your dreams, hyung. Even if it was me, it was never really me. I'm not gonna lie to you, but those dreams? I had them too, I know the feelings you've felt because I've felt them too. I know how strong they were and how convincing they can be. But you gotta admit that we never really get to know each other. The past month, I've been crushing on you, falling for you, longing for you, but I can never bring myself to say I love you. I'm sorry, hyung, but I want us to work out. I want to love Kim Namjoon, the one sitting in front of me, and I want you to love me as Park Jimin, the one right here."

Jimin was pouring his heart out and crying even harder. The weight of his worries and fears he had been keeping for a month was lifted out of his chest; he felt relieved and free. What was to happen, he would leave it to both of them to decide, but at the moment he no longer had to worry about keeping secrets. Still, tears wouldn’t stop falling from his eyes.

Namjoon only held him tighter to his chest, whispering apologies and sweet nothings to his ears, stroking his hair to calm him down. It wasn't difficult to feel calm in such a warm and welcoming presence like Namjoon's, his sobs stopped quickly, and he felt safe. It was like that dream he had when his past self sobbed in his lover's chest, except this time only one of them was crying. And Jimin couldn't help but wonder if this always happened to them, because everything felt so natural.

"I'm sorry, Jimin-ah, I really am," Namjoon was still whispering in his ears even after he had already calmed down.

"It's okay, hyung. I'm alright. Look, I'm fine now because of you," he said while wiping any stain of tears left on his face. The older still looked at him worryingly, he leaned in and kissed his forehead, and Jimin wanted the man to do that forever. They pressed their foreheads together, an action so intimate for people with their type of relationship, but they both welcomed the gesture. Every affection they showed had come to them like instincts; it felt so natural like they were born to do it. Their breaths ghosted on each other's face, the silence was so loud in the room.

Namjoon's eyes were full of sadness and regrets, he kept repeating the apologies over and over, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that, I shouldn't have said that."

"Hyung, you can't redo the past. To be honest, I'm really glad you told me about your dreams so that I know I wasn't the only one."

"But now you'll have to bear the guilt in your chest. If you feel uncomfortable, that’s fine. Even I wouldn’t want to be with myself. You were right, I was only longing for some imaginary vision of you."

"Look at me, hyung. I like you, and I'm willing to try to make us work,” his voice was barely a whisper, but the sentiment in his words rang loud.

Namjoon took his hands into his, he looked like he had a few things to say at once, and in the end, he said, "What if we don't work out?"

"But at least we try, right? Don't give up on us that easily, hyung. We haven't even started,” he took a deep breath and asked the question he had been dying to ask for the past month, “Are you going to try with me as Jimin and Namjoon, as us?"

When Namjoon looked at him this time, his eyes weren't sad anymore; they were full of determination and gratefulness. At that moment, Jimin already knew his answer.

"I am."

It had been a few years since Jimin and Namjoon had agreed to try it out, and everything was going great. They learned more about each other, every moment they shared was full of love, adoration, and happiness. They often went to art museums for their dates, or sometimes Namjoon would visit him at the dance studio and took him out later. And one thing he got to learn about the other man was he was extremely great in bed, but he wouldn't tell anyone that; he loved keeping his man to himself.

Namjoon often visited him after his class saying that he would love to see the progress of his choreography, and who was he to deny his wish? So, it was only natural that Hoseok found out about their relationship in such a short amount of time. When he knew they were dating, he was delighted. He started clapping and laughing happily and congratulated them for 'finally having the guts to ask each other out'. His colleague was genuinely happy for them, and Jimin might've teared up a little bit at his hyung.

After Hoseok discovered their relationship, Yoongi did as well; he had told him, and Jimin quoted, 'Namjoon was giggly all day like a teenager and he had your picture as his phone wallpaper', unquote. Jimin's face couldn't have gotten any redder. And then Jimin decided to let his friends know about them as well; he introduced Namjoon to them, and surprisingly, they got along very well, especially Jungkook who had told him that Namjoon was the most awesome person he had ever met.

Of course, his friends later asked him about his weird dreams and who the person was. He and Namjoon agreed on not telling anyone about their dreams, so they kept quiet. He only told them he knew who they were and they knew who he was, nothing more. His friends didn't push the topic further, seeing their precious friend happy was all that mattered. Jimin was so grateful to have them as his friends.

The next day, he would have to shoot an art film: his fifth one since the first time he had filmed for Namjoon’s project. That first one was a great success, after that he had been contacted by many companies asking him to choreograph for them. Namjoon was very supportive of his work, and Hoseok was even more supportive and excited for him. He even danced for Jungkook’s video once.

He was rolling lazily on a bed that he had become familiar with over the past few years with Namjoon sitting and reading next to him. The older was gazing at him lovingly rather than looking at his book, then he leaned down and kissed Jimin's forehead softly. He didn't want to think about it that much, but he couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of them being so domestic like a married couple.

"What are you thinking about?" Namjoon asked him out of nowhere, putting away his book on the nightstand, but he was used to it. They randomly had these kinds of talks a lot.

"Nothing, really. Well, maybe something, I don't know," Jimin replied while Namjoon's fingers carded through his hair. He suddenly felt the urge to kiss the older, so he did.

What he loved about the other the most was that he always let Jimin do whatever he wanted, and he never complained, just fully complied to whatever Jimin wanted. Even though years had passed, the man was still so whipped for him, and Jimin made sure to get the most out of it.

"Isn't it your big day tomorrow? Aren't you gonna sleep?"

"You have to be there as well, but you're still awake," Jimin giggled a bit and propped himself up on his elbow so he could look at Namjoon more clearly.

"You got a point there."

"Don't I always, love?" Jimin was teasing the older at this point. He loved using pet names from his dreams to call the older whenever they were alone because he knew how fluttered Namjoon would be. And this time was no different.

Namjoon's cheeks heated up almost immediately, he was chuckling to hide his embarrassment, and then realized he couldn't. Jimin was having a moment of his life when Namjoon suddenly kissed him passionately. In a blink of the eye, the older managed to push him down on his back and hovered above him while they were sharing a kiss.

"No, we're not having sex tonight. I got a big day tomorrow, remember?" Jimin teased when they broke the kiss.

"Not even a little? But I want to be inside you so bad, love," Namjoon was giggling, clearly teasing him, and the younger's face never reddened so fast. Namjoon was a fast learner, so of course, he knew what Jimin's weaknesses were; he just never used it against him. But maybe, he thought it was time to pay back after thousands teasing the older got from him.

"Get off of me," both were laughing while the younger pushed the other off. They settled into a sitting position, Namjoon's back against the headboard with Jimin straddling his lap: a position which felt like nature to them.

"But seriously, what was on your mind?" Namjoon asked after the laughs died down.

"Many things. I was just thinking about how crazy our relationship is, in a good way that is. For real though, I never would've thought I'd meet someone like you. Even more, I already met you in my dreams and we looked so in love and happy, all those things, but I didn't actually know you. You're just like the one in my dreams, so caring, so loving, and so sweet, but at the same time, you're different."

They had never talked about their dreams again after they got together, it was probably the first time any of them brought it up. He didn't know if they would feel comfortable talking about them or not, as they wanted to push them all back and start from zero; the topic kind of became sensitive to them.

Namjoon didn't seem surprised by him, as if he was prepared for it, "Yeah, it's crazy. But if we really look at it, it's pretty normal. We met each other, we went on dates, and then we ended up in bed."

The younger nodded his head in agreement, "I was so scared before, I really was," he whispered. "Those dreams were too perfect, and because they were dreams, I was afraid it would never happen. I was afraid I would never find a love like that. I'm glad it's you."

"I'm glad it's you too. Gotta admit that I was also scared, but I did exactly what you wanted; try it with you. We can learn it along the way together. Wherever you are, you'll have me with you," Namjoon stopped to take a deep breath before saying the next sentence with utmost sincerity, "I love you."

Those three little words Namjoon had said took him by surprise. He just realized that after their talk in Namjoon's studio, neither of them had said those words again. Not because they didn’t love each other, but because there were many things going on at once. They wanted to be a hundred percent sure that their relationship was exclusive to them only and not the ones in their dreams.

The moment Namjoon said those words, Jimin finally realized. Whatever doubts he had had before were long forgotten. Namjoon was smiling softly at him, and Jimin knew he had chosen the right one. He wondered if this was how his past self had felt with his lover: the overwhelming love and complete trust.

They still had a lot more to figure out together, they might disagree, they might get into fights, but he wouldn't give up that easily. He knew whatever problems they would face, he would have Namjoon right there next to him, as would Namjoon have him. He was ready to spend his life with the man in front of him if he would let him do so.

"I love you too," he replied with the same sentiment.

They leaned in to share a sweet kiss for the countless times that night, and Jimin had never felt so safe. Being with Namjoon felt like home.
