Work Text:
That Tuesday was spent just like any other. Mitsuki woke up, did her morning routine, went to work and tried not to get pissed off by dumbass costumers - but only until lunchtime. Lunchtime was the second big rush of their day. Everyone from the nearby college came to a coffee or a sandwich, just like people working in one of those office buildings a few blocks away did. From time to time, even some Pros came in – making everyone so fucking excited. Mitsuki only rolled her eyes. She had no idea what was so special about them. They were only humans, just like everyone else.
These thoughts were in her head when she heard the clinging of the small bell, signing that someone had entered. She looked up to greet them, but the words were frozen in her throat. Trough the door walked in the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. She had long, white hair and pretty grey eyes. Mitsuki was engulfed in the beauty in front of her that she didn’t notice the other, smaller figure stepping through the door right behind her.
”Ah, Mitsuki!” Mitsuki herd her best friend’s voice and it pulled her back from her trans. ”I hoped we can catch you!”
”What are ya doin’ here, nerd?” She asked, but didn’t take her eyes off of the white haired woman as the two women walked up to the counter.
”It’s our lunch break and Midoriya-san wanted to take me to her favorite coffee shop in town.” Ah, fuck, even her voice was pretty!
”But the nerd works at a hero agency,” Mitsuki said what she thought out loud, then her eyes widened. ”This means that you-” she started and the other woman’s lips quirked up in a small smile.
”My name is Rei. It’s nice to meet you, Mitsuki-san.” Okay, now Mitsuki understood why everyone was drooling over Pros.
”Y-yeah,” she nodded, accepting the outstretched hand that she hadn’t even noticed. ”Likewise.”
”I told you she is cute,” Inko suddenly spoke up, startling Mitsuki a bit.
”Indeed you did,” Rei said while still holding the blonde’s hand. ”She’s even cuter than you described.”
’I’m here too!’ Mitsuki thought in total embarrassment. However, instead of giving them a piece of her mind, she smiled at Rei with the brightest smile she could muster. ”What would you like to drink?” Rei blinked twice as if totally forgetting that they were in a coffee shop. Mitsuki found it extremely endearing.
”A-a cup of coffee latte, please,” she said eventually and couldn’t hide the blush blooming on her cheeks.
”Coming right up!” Mitsuki said after letting her hand go.
”What about my drink?” Inko yelled after her friend, whose form had already almost disappeared in the direction of the kitchen. Mitsuki looked back at her with a dedpanned expression.
”I know your order by heart, nerd!”
