Work Text:
Eri's tour in Heights Alliance
(As celebration for my first BnHA fic)
--
It was a peaceful, sunny weekend morning. No brand new scorch marks in the dining table, no excessive excited yells or panicked screams of being late. Half the class were lounging in the living room, some working on homework, some watching a morning drama. Others are by the dining table because somehow the Wi-Fi is quite strong there. A few people should be getting back from morning runs by now.
Nothing will ever disrupt such a bright and serene morning like this.
"NO! I WANT MIC-SENSEI!" a shriek sounded from outside of Class 2-A's dorms.
They all turned towards the door that was unceremoniously slammed open, Eraserhead walking inside with a pouting child in his arms.
"You're staying here for today. Mic and I have something to do."
"Is it hero stuff?" Eri asked begrudgingly because as much as she pretend to not like it, hero stuff is cool.
"yes, hero stuff for us." Eraserhead sighed, having gone over this conversation five times during the walk.
"I want Mic-sensei. He told me he'll be with me the whooole day today."
Eraserhead grunted, "He already said he'll make it up to you, kid. Don't worry, just look forward for our return or somerhing like that."
The Class 2-A kids stared pointedly as Eri started mentioning Mic again and the conversation repeated. Eraserhead dropped Eri by Midoriya's lap, tucking loose strands of her hair under her ear.
"Listen up." he clapped for attention. The kids still stared at him then at Eri and back at him. "Your mission for today is to take care of this troublemaker. You will not be expelled when I see her safe and sound when I get back."
Eri tugged on the end of Eraserhead's capture weapon and Erserhead muttered a 'must we' before leaning down and letting Eri kiss his cheek. There was a collective "aww" that echoed from the soon-to-be expelled students who dutifully went quiet when he activated Erasure.
"I'll be back after dinner."
Without further ado, Eraserhead vanished through the front door. The kids, including Eri, stared at the door for a few minutes. Eri was the first one out of her daze, giggling as she poked a dumbstrucked Deku.
"Hi."
So much for a peaceful morning.
--
Whoever thought that giving Eri a tour is a good thing probably didn't have complete eight hours of sleep. Which is saying something, because let's be honest here, that's more than half of them. Eri, ever the adorable and curious human being that she is, was totally on board with the idea.
"This is the common room." Mina announced, twirling around with her arms swinging about.
"We call it War room sometimes." Denki added, show whispering on Eri's ear. "Because game days are no joke."
The announcement board and schedule calendar was filled with too many words for the child so they directed her to a trophy case where the child "ooh"hed and "ahh"-ed at the trophies and certificates. Since she can't read yet, her eyes sparkled at pictures and certificates.
Eri blinked as she caught sight of one wall filled with pictures from floor to ceiling.
"This is our adventure wall!" Tooru cheered. "That's where we post pictures of the Class A fam."
Sure enough there are a lot. Eri jumped up and down to see more before Shouji picked her up and she giggled at every picture that has Eraserhead or Present Mic in it. It took a while to get her moving from another destination when she kept asking about what happened at the pictures she pointed. It probably didn't help that her tour guides got nostalgic and kept telling her stories. Personally, her favorites are the ones where they're all napping in yellow sleeping bags and the weekly themed pictures.
"Oooh, since almost all of us are here anyways.." Mina grinned, snatching Todoroki's (Class A's) latest highend phone and shoving it on Shouji's hand (Class A's official photographer). "Let's all take a picture!"
"Great idea!"
All twenty Class A students, some dragged and others silently positioning themselves, posed in front of the Adventure wall with Eri being carried by Midoriya.
"Smile, Eri." Midoriya poked her cheek, then pointed at the camera. "Look there."
Eri grinned and Shouji skillfully took a few more photos as others did wacky poses Eri tried to re-enact and left her giggling at the silliness.
Shouji gave the phone not to Todoroki but to Denki (who has his own account in Todoroki's phone just for this purpose) immediately sent the photos to the group chat. After that, Denki gave it back to Todoroki who just took the phone and went back to his game. Having the best camera resolution out of the lot, it happens often that Todoroki didn't bother changing his password. It was one of the worst kept secret in Class A. Worry not, his apps other than his camera and gallery were protected by a different password and his fingerprint.
Once the common rooms was toured and Eri rolled around the plush carpet with Kouda's rabbit, they went to the kitchen. The little girl marveled at the spotless kitchen (and the few scorch marks here and there, due to the kitchen almost burning just last night), with Midoriya once again carrying her so she could see everything. Once she got to see inside the fridge and cupboards, Midoriya let her sit by the island.
"Now, Eri, if there's a chance that villains get to you and they're here. The safest place in the dorms is the kitchen. Do you know why?"
Almost all his classmates facepalmed when Denki asked the question, already knowing they're too late to stop the inside joke.
Eri tilted her head in confusion, "Because there's knives?"
"You've got a point there." Kirishima commented, nodding in realization.
"But it's actually because in Class A dorms, the most dangerous weapon of all is this!" Denki pulled out a cast iron pan seemingly out of nowhere and handing it to Eri as if it's a magic lamp he's selling. "One smack to the villain's face will summon the beast of Class A!"
Eri giggled, swinging the pan. Midoriya's eyes widened and was about to shout but Eri's swing had the pan hitting the sink with a resonating clang and all of them held their breath and prayed for Denki's life.
There was a loud 'BOOM' in the common rooms. "It better not be what I think it fucking is!"
Denki looked at his classmates with a panicked look on his face. "Oops."
Their classmates parted like the red sea once Katsuki arrived at the kitchen. His eyes narrowed at Eri's delighted smile, her hand holding his cast iron pan and glared at Denki accusingly. He approached Eri with a frown on his face.
"K-kacchan! She didn't mean it-" Midoriya's sentence was cut off by Katsuki's glare and he stared down at Eri.
"You got to be good at cooking to be holding that." Katsuki said to her.
Eri smiled brightly at him. "It's to ward off villains too!"
"Psssh, yeah right." Katsuki waved a dismissive hand, snatching the pan out of her grasp and scanning it. Seeing no harm done, he ignored everyone and looked at the child. "Have you eaten anything cooked in a cast iron pan?"
"No...?"
Katsuki smirked, ruffling her hair which made her giggle. "Fucking watch me."
The other students of Class A watched the interaction with varying shades of shock, proudness and disbelief.
"No fair! Cook for us too!" The Bakusquad whined in unison.
Katsuki directed a few sparks of explosion at them. "Get the fuck out, you extras!"
"Bakugo-kun! Language!" Momo said, gesturing at Eri. "There's a child!"
"She's heard worse." Katsuki growled at her.
Eri stared in wonder at the cooking show in front of her, totally different than what Hizashi does at the kitchen! A few minutes later, Eri was served a soufflé pancake fresh out of the cast iron pan.
"Fucking eat if you want the energy to keep up with these extras." Katsuki said, a victorious smirk in his place as Eri's eyes brightened.
"Delicious!" She yelled in delight, smiling at Katsuki. "Thank you!"
Katsuki ruffled her hair again and got back to the stove. Ten minutes of Class A coaxing Eri to share (she did but only after a few bites of it), Katsuki put down five more servings of pancakes.
"Eat." He announced.
There was a roar of celebration before the forks were passed and Class A murdered the pancakes through simultaneous slices.
The girls and Eri had another plate they shared to themselves, some of them spoon feeding Eri.
After the impromptu pancake heaven, they decided to hold the next Room King with Eri as the judge.
--
Two hours and a lot of rooms later, Eri couldn't pick a winner until she remembered Sero's swing that fits her perfectly. Suffice to say she declared him as the winner.
Sero's smug smirk was immortalised as the commemorative picture was taken. He was carrying Eri, who was holding the certificate and copying Sero's smug smirk.
--
After a satisfying lunch with lots of Teriyaki made by Iida, Midoriya and Jirou (scheduled chefs for the day), a small round of a baking competition Satou unanimously won (Eri ate her first crepe cake today), the tour continued.
"This is the laundry room." Iida said, opening the door and letting her peek inside.
"It's the best place to hide in a game of hide and seek." Tokoyami added. "We couldn't find Aoyama-kun for hours."
Aoyama shot her a sparkly wink when Eri looked at him curiously.
--
Eri fidgeted and pouted.
Shinsou, looking out for that particular sign, tapped Uraraka and pointed at Eri.
"Bathroom break."
Urarake let out an "Oh." of realization before nodding.
"We'll take her to the girl's bathroom!"
--
"I think Eri's been abducted by the girls." Shinsou said, looking up from his homework.
The boys looked up from the homework they were doing and looked at the clock. It's been an hour.
There was a shriek of laughter down the hall.
"Nah." was the simultaneous reply.
--
Half an hour later, the boys had migrated from the dining table to the common room. Some gave up on their homework and others finished it. They were watching something on TV until they heard small running footsteps.
Eri, suddenly donning a white shirt with a sparkly unicorn as a design and a pink tutu with black leggings, jumped into Shinsou's arms.
"Toshi!" She giggled, "Hide me!"
Shinsou merely picked up a blanket that was by the armrest and draped it over her, passing the child to his left. Eri got passed around for a while until Kouda laid her on the plush carpet, shushing her with a grin.
The girls came out, apparently having a makeover with how their clothes have changed as well.
"Has anyone see Eri? We were going to put her in a gown!"
Shinsou sweatdropped, so that's why.
"Nah, can't say I've seen her." He replied.
Asui tongue lengthened and patted the blankets Eri was hiding on. She rolled her tongue back and raised a brow at the brainwashing hero.
"Nah, really didn't see her earlier." Shinsou said, lazily looking at the boys. "Right?"
"Sure..."
Momo rolled her eyes at the boy's inability to act. Jirou silently made her way to Eri's prone form although the giggles underneath is a dead giveaway.
"Well then, I guess we'll just fold this right up!" Jirous said, carrying the blanketed Eri who shrieked in surprise. "Oh, Eri! There you are! We've been looking everywhere for you!"
Suddenly, the beat sounded in the dorms signalling the fashion show.
"Quick! Put on her gown!" Momo said, throwing said ballgown.
Jirou expertly maneuvered the gown on Eri and in a flash, she was adorably standing on the platform looking like a Disney Princess.
Unsure of what to do, Eri looked at her 'onee-chan's for guidance.
"Oh, sweet summer child." Tooru cooed.
"Come on now, this is a fashion show!" Uraraka carried Eri and placed her on the starting point. "Just walk, and pose!"
"Watch and learn, sweetheart!"
Once the girls catwalked and posed for the camera (Todoroki's, again) Shouji was holding, Eri confidently walked on the platform and did poses she copied from the others.
Class A cheered the younger girl on and she giggled, giddy at the happiness she's feeling.
Another beat sounded and then the boys got their turn on the platform, as well. Somehow, Todoroki did the final walk holding hands with Eri, showering her with snowflakes as she twirled around.
--
Remembering Jirou's singing talent and asking her to sing, Jirou placed Eri on her lap and began singing a lullaby once they saw what time it is.
Eri hugged Jirou, nuzzling her neck. "You're pretty.."
Jirou chuckled at the telltale signs of lowering energy. Jirou winked at the girls.
"Man, that was tiring. Want to take a nap?"
"Bring in the futons!"
Minutes later, the girls dragged in futons and blankets in the common room. The boys already cleared out the space and soon enough, they were having an impromptu nap time at two in the afternoon. Sero situated a tuckered out Eri on his swing.
"So precious. So smol."
"What a cinammon roll."
A bunch of pictures were taken before the others felt their eventful day catching up on them.
Sure enough, a few minutes later, majority of the class were all snoozing with Eri.
--
An hour later had Eri playing with Ojiro's tail, giggling as she chased it on the futons. It started when Eri was the first one to wake up from her nap and saw Ojiro's tail moving as he read a manga. She crawled and patted it but Ojiro just smiled and avoided her prompting her to chase it.
It's been going on for a few minutes now and one by one, the napping Class A students were woken up by giggling and to those near Ojiro and Eri's location, accidental swats.
After Tooru filmed the exact time Eri caught the elusive tail, everyone in the commons are awake.
Midoriya gave Eri a glass of water to drink and she did, thanking him.
It was a peaceful moment...until the U.A monopoly was pulled out.
--
They stopped the game because Eri cried after Katsuki decided to be mean and rendered her to bankruptcy by taking USJ away from her.
--
She only stopped crying when they placed her on top of Katsuki's corpse, having suffocated to death by numerous pillows. She toppled over when Katsuki came back from the dead and pelted everyone with pillows.
Thus, a pillow fight started.
--
A truce was held when Eri was mistakenly thrown and Iida caught the startled child. She giggled, patting his arms. "Again!"
Eri squealed when Iida relented and threw her up, catching her with his arms.
"I wanna try!" Sero cheered, picking Eri up.
She was passed on to someone else until Momo walked in and gasped in horror. They let Eri down at the sight of Momo's disapproving frown and crossed arms.
--
"Wanna see the backyard?" Mina asked the little girl.
"Yeah!"
"Come on, then!"
Mina took Eri to her Zumba spot, others following. They groaned as Mina successfully persuaded Eri to help her set up. Seeing Eri dance was the only reason why they're staying. (Last Friday's Zumba was hard!)
The music played and Mina grinned at Eri.
"Follow me!"
Eri cheerfully said "Yes!"
It was an adorable sight.
Like a 'fawn tripping on its own legs trying to walk' adorable kind of sight.
By the end of the song, they found out Eri was good at jumping moves.
--
Aoyama sidled up and squatted to Eri's height. He smiled charmingly at her before poking her cheek.
"Tag. You're it."
Remembering the rules of the game, Eri's smile brightened and she giddily started running towards an unsuspecting Midoriya.
"Deku!" She squealed, poking him. "You're it!"
She raced away from a shocked Deku who laughed quietly, patting Shinsou. "Tag, you're it."
"Dude." Shinsou groaned, glaring at Midoriya before slumping on Iida. "Tag, you're it."
"Oh! So we are now playing that game! Worry not, Shinsou-kun. I will be it." Iida chased Kirishima who caught Denki and suddenly everyone was involved in the game.
Eri, situated high because of Shouji's quirk, clapped her hands at the scene in front of her.
--
After a round of Tag and everyone becoming 'it', they trudged up the rooftop when Eri pointed at the setting sun.
Eri gasped at the wonderful sunset view the dorms had, eyes wide as the sun went down and the skies changed color as if a page of a book has been flipped. Midoriya, who was carrying her, gave her a fond smile in return of her delighted one.
"Look up, Eri!" Momo called, handing her binoculars. "The stars are showing brightly tonight."
Eri looked through the binoculars and was rendered speechless at the universe she saw.
"Wow..." She gasped, jaw dropping. "So pretty."
The students looked at the child filled with wonder and grinned at each other.
--
After a pizza party for a dinner, Momo received a call from Aizawa-sensei.
"Is she alive?" Aizawa-sensei's question greeted her when she answered the call.
"Yes, of course sensei." Momo sweatdropped. "We're finishing dinner right now, actually."
"...It was Pizza Party night tonight, wasn't it?"
Momo smiled, "Yes, sensei. We made Eri eat a salad, though. She enjoyed two slices of pizza as well."
"Okay, what are you kids doing right now?"
Momo looked at the fort in the common room and couldn't help but giggle.
"We are currently watching a movie, sensei."
"We're heading back right now. See you in a few."
"We'll try to keep Eri alive until then, Sensei."
"Cheeky brat."
"Please take care and travel safely." Momo said, pleasantly ignoring Aizawa-sensei's muttered comment.
"Got it. Have Eri ready for bed in an hour."
"Yes, sensei!"
Momo startled at the sudden loud singalong going inside the fort and decided to join in on the fun.
--
An hour and a half later, The door opened quietly and Aizawa-sensei walked in, stared at the blanket and pillow fort in the common room like it's always been there. He went straight to the kitchen and saw a box of pizza with his name on it. He smirked at it before fetching himself a cold glass of water. He glanced at the inside of the fort visible in the kitchen and couldn't bring himself to be surprised to see a Disney movie coming to an end. He decided a mug of coffee would be nice and hummed appreciatively once he saw that the coffee pot was filled.
"She met his mom and dad!" Eri gasped excitedly.
Shouta sipped from his mug as he listened on Eri's excited tone.
"They lived happily ever after!" She gushed, hugging her pillow.
Once the credits rolled in, the others started to stretch and ask Eri questions on her favorite part.
"Welcome back, sensei!" Tooru shrieked in surprise once she entered the kitchen. She laughed sheepishly "I didn't see you there!"
Aizawa-sensei raised his cup at her in acknowledgment. Hearing Aizawa's name, Eri wiggled herself out the fort and ran towards the kitchen, already in her sleepwear.
"Welcome home!" Eri greeted, jumping on Shouta.
"I'm home." Aizawa whispered on her hair, patting it as Eri settled on his lap. "Rather, we have to go home. Mic's waiting."
"Aww.." Eri said, disappointment clear on her tone. "...okay."
"You get to tell Mic about your day. I bet it's been eventful."
"It is!"
Seeing as his students were bringing dishes back to the kitchen, he regarded them and nodded.
"Good job, you're not expelled."
There were cheers everywhere that got Eri to cheer as well. Shouta rinsed his cup and placed it back on the cupboard after drying it. He stared at his loitering students and sighed,
"Go get ready for bed."
"Yes, sensei!"
There were students scurrying one after the other, others waving and hugging Eri good bye while others washed the dishes. Aizawa carried Eri out of Heights Alliance after her final goodbye hugs and some kisses and tucked her in on her bed once they reached their apartment.
Seeing as Eri passed out within five minutes on his arms, the kids really tired her out.
Shouta shook his head fondly.
--
The next time they were on babysitting duty with Eri, the talent show was scheduled on the same day. Eri wanted to join and made an impromptu group with the Bakusquad. They did a small spinoff scene in Tangled.
--
"There must be a reason why you're here." Eri said, voice suspicious as she held the cast iron pan as a weapon. She blew the bangs on the Rapunzel wig Momo was delighted to make for her complete with the dress. "Something brought you here. Fate, destiny?"
"A horse?" Kirishima asked, sitting on Seat Option A.
"Don't be ridiculous, it's a car." Denki cut in, sitting on Seat Option B
Sero snorted from his position, Seat Option C. "Obviously, there's trains."
"Oh. I know. A bus." Mina concluded, sitting on Seat Option D.
"Nooooo, this isn't supposed to be like that!" Eri whined, going to Hitoshi for a hug while still holding the pan. The audience laughed at her reaction and tried hard to be serious for her sake.
"Yeah, that's what you get for trying to use my pan to try and knock out people." Katsuki commented on the host podium, banging the mallet. "The answer is A, losers."
"Alright, everyone. That's scene's a wrap." Jirou donning a Director's coat and put a thumb up. "Onto the next scene of singing along to 'I have a dream'. Can we get an Ariel or Mulan on set since our Rapunzel's still upset?"
"No! I'll sing!" Eri protested, accidentally smacking Hitoshi with the pan without her knowing it. Iida, having expected it, passed him some ice. Hitoshi grunted in appreciation.
What followed was the most chaotic rendition of the Disney song yet.
--
Since it was only for a few hours, Eri promised to master the songs until the next time. The students of Class A silently apologized to their senseis on the inevitable concert Eri will be having in the teacher's lounge with limited songs on repeat.
"... Maybe we shouldn't have made her watch Frozen as well.."
--
The students arrived in the teacher's lounge and waved, kissed, fistbumped Eri goodbye after dropping her off safe and sound.
"How was your stay in the dorms, sweetheart?" Midnight asked, stroking Eri's hair.
"So. Much. Fun!" Eri cheered.
"That's great."
--
The teachers sweatdropped and couldn't help the chuckle and snickers from coming out as they overheard the yelling outside the teacher's lounge.
"Go to hell!"
"I'm taking you with me!"
"I'm going there on my own!"
"I'm coming with you!"
"Fuck off!"
"You guys do know Aizawa-sensei don't really appreciate Heights Alliance being called 'Hell'?!?"
"Shut up!"
--
Eri smiled at Midnight as she finished braiding her hair like Elsa's.
She brandished a mic (Present Mic possibly gave her) out of nowhere (wait, judging by the glitter, she took it out of her bag.)
"Ladies and Gentlemen!" She jumped up and smiled once she got the attention of the teachers. "Put your hands up!"
"Welcome to Eri's concert! First song is!"
--
Needless to say, after Eri's first concert, Heroics Class A became her babysitters again.
Of course, No one complained. After all, they really didn't want to be expelled.
They did have fun with the honorary little sister they acquired.
