Summary
Lead Auror Harry Potter can’t help but feel that his life has become a bit, well… shit. After an injury took him out of the field a few years ago, he’s not so sure he ever wanted to be an auror in the first place. He doesn’t want to be anything at all. He just goes through the motions - work, drink, spiral; avoid the papers, his friends and anything that might force him to face the truth about himself.
But when an investigation into a series of impossible thefts reveals deeper threads in politics and corruption, he must work not only against his own vices, but the Ministry itself to solve the case. No matter where he turns, he can’t seem to make any progress.
The only thing going right for him is a growing friendship with the blind brewer Severus Snape, and before he can let that turn into something more, he has to accept the possibility that Snape might not be telling him the truth about everything... -
