In the dark of a sewer, Mike really wants to kiss Bill, in front of everyone, one big celebratory kiss, we all made it, we all lived, we’re all alive.
He doesn’t do that. Instead he holds Bill’s gaze, presses their foreheads together and just breathes, in and out, for a moment. Holds that breath.
For a moment they are one.
