Close to the Heart

Summary:

It hasn’t been that long since Izuku’s come to live with Eijirou and Katsuki. After all, a month was only three to four weeks, not nearly enough time to settle with all of the new changes to his life. Yet, that hasn’t seemed to screw him over as he was prepared for it to do. If anything, it’s given him an opportunity to experience that mind-opening that should have happened when he was younger and preparing to find his place in the world.

Work Text:

It had only been a month since Izuku had been moved, so Katsuki supposed he should be a bit more merciful in his reports. Given all that’s happened in his life, it was obvious that Izuku would take more time than he had initially preferred to get used to all of the new aspects and information that had been laid out for him. As it stood, all he felt safe doing was staying in their room and reading or talking with Ochako. The two, while hesitant on Izuku’s part, had started to talk almost immediately after the greenette had been brought in. Likely, Ochako could understand that Denki’s and Mina’s wild energy would scare Izuku more than help him settle down. Something that Katuki and Eijirou, both regrettably, didn’t take into consideration at first. They were the friendliest people in his inner circle, open-minded and hearted. Simple as that.

Ochako though? She had a better idea of when it was time to coddle and when it was a good time to take a more serious approach. He supposed that’s what made her the best for training new or junior recruits. She was patient in ways that Katsuki wasn’t and cared more about their steady improvement compared to Eijirou’s desire to whip them into shape quickly. With Izuku, he could read from her reports how well that same approach had been going. When he asked for the truth, she would make it clear that there was only so much he could tell him without Katsuki’s permission. When he needed comfort, she made sure he understood that there was only so much that she could offer as someone who had not been in his place in a long time. Mayhaps it made Izuku feel more isolated when she spoke like that, but from how the greenette talked about his discussions with Ochako when they were getting ready for bed, it was obvious from the respect in his voice that he appreciated how she was honest with him.

Alright then. Ochako was shaping up to be the perfect friend so far. It just meant that Denki and Mina would need to take the paperwork that the brunette was initially responsible for and keep their eyes on the new recruits. As much as they whined about it, Katsuki could tell that their complaining was less about the extra work and more about how they were unable to interact with Izuku as much as Ochako was. He knew his friends, he knew to look underneath the first-glance messages that they may spout when upset. It also helped that whenever they whined, Izuku’s name was always in the conversation. It immediately diverted the subject from having to watch new recruits fall on their faces or papers being lost in the uncountable folders they had to how the greenette was doing and when they could finally talk with him.

“We wouldn’t be bad friends!” Denki threw his hands up as Katsuki turned off his computer camera. The older blonde sighed in exhaustion, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he turned his head slightly. He understood why Eijirou wanted Mina as his backup for his own meet-up, but leaving Katsuki with Denki? He should know better by now that there was only a 30% chance that would end well. Not to mention that Katsuki had just finished a four-hour meeting with Itsuka about some supposed short-comings on his end of their last deal. It was annoying as hell dealing with her in the first place, but being accused of something so simple? Hah! Katsuki had standards. If he was gonna cause some odds between them, one could bet that he was gonna do it by committing something worse than not giving her all of the money he had promised from their weapon exchange.

Really, that was just...ugh! Beyond exhausting! Especially when the solution was something as simple as an underling of hers stealing some of the cash to buy themselves some drugs for personal use and a few prostitutes to keep them happy for the night. Fucking hell, it really should have shown how much Itsuki needed to get her game back on. The first place one should look with suspicions like that was your own people. As much as you may not have wanted to accuse your own posse, it was a lot less dangerous than accusing a colleague. Namely, people like Katsuki and Eijirou. If he didn’t know any better, he’d assume she was trying to play him a fool in order to slowly force him to give her more than her share. Pride hurt and goods stolen, she’d get the last laugh.

Well, not today.

“I never said you’d be shitty friends. I just agree that Round Face might have a better approach compared to you and Raccoon Eyes.” Katsuki pushed himself up, stretching his arms high in the air before leaning from side-to-side. His back made satisfying cracks, pulling pleased groans from his lips and eyes that fluttered shut. “Izuku needs the truth. No two loud fuckers dragging him around the house and pointing out how everything that he considers ‘cruel’ can be made fun if he just thinks about it a different way.”

“We weren’t gonna-!”

“I heard you and Mina wanted to take him to the firing range during his first week here.” Katsuki didn’t need to waste his energy glaring at Denki to get how displeased he was across. He was still stretching. It was also pretty clear from his tone of voice; beyond unimpressed, confused, and plenty outraged that Denki and Mina had thought that would go well. In any way. “Wanted to get him used to firing shit and the noise that came out of a gun? Practical, sure, but by no means appropriate. I’m confident that Zuzu would faint as soon as he saw a real gun, let alone be forced to hold it.”

“We can start with a knife then!” Denki waved his arms up, speaking as if that would really solve the issue that Katsuki was getting at. Literally, anyone else would understand where Katsuki was going, but he let Denki continue anyway. Only because the younger blonde sounded so excited about his idea and as mean as Katsuki could be, he couldn’t deny that he was happy that Denki was so engaged in thinking up ideas on how to bond with his new beloved. “Mina has a tone of small, cute pocket knives. I’m sure we could get your Izuku one that would fit him perfectly! Look, there are a ton of designs that he’d like! We can get him animal stickers, flowery ones, other silly littles designs - he could think of it as customizing video game characters!”

“Now’s probably a good time to mention that Zuzu has most likely not played a video game. At least, not in a long while.” The gasp that followed alerted Katsuki that that might have been the wrong thing to say. He groaned when he realized that now Denki would beg him to let himself and Mina steal Izuku away for video game time. While there was little that could go wrong with a TV screen and a few game controllers, he didn’t trust the two with the genre of the games. They liked ones that involved first-person shooters, combat games, or horror games. If Izuku had to favor a game, then Katsuki would assume he’d appreciate puzzles or small adventures like Crash Bandicoot. The types of games that Mina and Denki would find frustratingly boring.

Not to call his friends stupid, but sometimes they really could be. For a hacker and a decent weapons specialist, Mina and Denki could have a hard time finding patterns or solving codes when it came to video games. Hell, he and Eijirou once challenged them to a platformer game that had traps set up in the chambers when they were all bored one day and he had beat them within five minutes. Five minutes for a fifteen level game!

“Just let him come to you. He’s got a lot to get used to.” Katsuki gestured for Denki to follow him out. His meeting had been two hours longer than he had wanted, but it was difficult to remain mad when he knew that he’d get to take his anger out soon enough. Shouto understood, possibly more than Mina and Denki, that sometimes clients could be real asses and you just needed to be late to a scheduled sparring session so that business could be properly taken care of. “Once he feels safer in the environment, he’s bound to branch out more. His curiosity and need to understand everything can be too strong to contain at times.”

“Don’t you two have him trapped in your bedroom? Between you two when you sleep?” Denki tried to keep the accusation from his tone, but it was really difficult. He respected Eijirou, he respected Katsuki. He knew the two weren’t rapists, they only took willing bodies to their bed. While Izuku’s willingness was technically a bit...pushed...he could see that the greenette was entirely forced here. Sure, he had nowhere to go and he could be under the impression that Katsuki and Eijirou could order for his mother to be dealt with, but Denki’s seen enough to know what being trapped was compared to what being cautious was. “If you can go to him, why can’t I?”

“Because he’s mine. Eijirou’s too.” Katsuki nonverbally dared Denki to say anything in response. It wasn’t that he was worried about the other saying anything disparaging or demeaning about the claim or about Izuku being the one who was claimed. Instead, it was the opposite. Mina, Denki, and sometimes Kyouka could be nefarious for sex jokes. As funny as they could be and as tempting as it was to join in on bullying whoever found themselves the victim for the evening, such jokes at the moment could make things more difficult than they needed to be.

Long story short, Izuku hadn’t taken long to realize that it was Eijirou and Katsuki sending him those clothes. Not only because they revealed to him exactly who they were and, by default, what they could do but also because they had got him replacements within the first couple of days he had been with them. Along with a few of the best quality binders they could find to show support for his transition. It seemed silly to hide how much they wanted to spoil him when they had him in the house, so they just let themselves do it to show Izuku that he truly wasn’t in danger here. Except, they forgot that they never gave themselves credit for the first gifts or explained that Shigaraki burned them when Izuku brought them to him. Needless to say, Izuku only asked for little explanation since he didn’t want his brain to explode from all of the new information he was receiving.

From that day on, Izuku only wore the clothes that he had been given. No one could explain why, not even Izuku himself. All that could be said was that he was tired of fighting against what he knew was strange and, instead, he wanted to only focus on trying to adjust. It just took too much energy to work on both, energy he needed to keep up with every changing thing. Izuku could feel his control slipping away, faster than what any of them predicted. If he ever had any control to begin with, that is. While it worked out for Katsuki and Eijirou (it gave them perfect excuses to further show how much love and supply they could provide Izuku), it made Izuku numb to the growing unease. He’s broken down many times since his arrival here, but it only happened near the night time. Where everyone but the men he still trusted (for some reason) had gone to rest and he could be held without anyone else looking. Watching him become weak, vulnerable.

The show of ownership through the clothing choices and the reliance was not so slowly, but surely getting to Katsuki and Eijirou. It was easy to get addicted to the high it gave them, without fail, when Izuku fell into one of them and nonverbally begged for them to do something to take the pain away. To replace it, to give him something else to focus on. Their embrace, their praise, their assurance - anything that could help him make sense of his rebuilding life. It made everything hard to resist. Both men just wanted to bundle their boy up and hide him away from the world, only theirs to love and to ravish. To destroy with their hands and rebuild with their hearts. To bring pain, to bring pleasure, to take all of those emotions and capture them so that all Izuku felt was a result of his lovers. But there was also the need to expose and to show off. To make it clear that Izuku Midoriya was a beautiful boy, a rare treasure that Katsuki Bakugou and Eijirou Kirishima had taken for themselves.

It made them sound crazy. Katsuki would admit that. It made them sound contradicting, maybe even a bit hypocritical. But whoever said that they were healthy was insane themselves. Katsuki was a possessive man. He was a monster to many, a wicked demon that sought only destruction and obsession-obtained pleasure. But to say that Eijirou was far different would be a lie. He was just as possessive. He was just as cruel. He would do the same things that Katsuki would do to ensure the safety of his family, of his lovers. That’s probably why everything worked out so well. There was little fear between the two of them because they understood their self-created version of loyalty and devotion. Now, it was only a matter of time before Izuku would let his walls down for them for sure. He’d let them in and they could show him what it meant to be theirs.

For now, they’d let him keep his past life for just a bit longer. There was no rush now that he had given his word that he’d stay.

“Finally.” Katsuki groaned, pushing open the doors to the training room. Without fail, Shouto Todoroki was seen leaping and ducking, his blades cutting into the air as if there were invisible bodies to slay. His bi-colored eyes were as sharp as the weapons he wielded, only room for focus and precision. It was truly an art, watching him fight. And Katsuki figured it was time for them to create a collaboration with the blank canvas they had been presented. Also known as the next hour or so with the training room to themselves. “Candy Cane! I’m here.”

“Bakugou.” Shouto didn’t pause in his practice routine, continuing to move across the floor until he was ready for his finishing move. “I assume that you got what you wanted if you have come to me at all today?”

“Kendou can be a bitch, but she’s a reasonable bitch. Probably the only reason I haven’t taken her out of commission yet.” Katsuki watched Denki move to the observers' bench from the corner of his eyes, satisfied to know that he’d be watching instead of leaving to do God knows what. If there was anyone who could learn from the two of the best close-ranged fighters (there was Eijirou too, but he was still out) then it would be Denki. “Let me get changed and we’ll start.”

“I’ll be waiting.” Another swish of his sword followed his words, providing Katsuki with a clear pathway to the changing rooms connected to the training room.

∾∾∾∾∾∾ With Eijirou ∾∾∾∾∾∾

“I was told that we’d be meeting with Bakugou-san?” Camie Utsushimi paused in her filing, bringing her hand up to examine how her nails had been coming along. When she received no verbal answer, she looked up from her work with a raised brow. Across from her, Eijirou had also raised his brow in question while Mina simply looked unimpressed. Her lips were pressed in a thin line and her shoulders were pulled back stiff as she resisted the urge to snap her weapon out and start firing. Camie had always been the talkative type, much like Denki. The main difference between them was that Denki had enough brains to understand when to hold the patronizing tone and when to let it out.

The same couldn’t be said for Camie. If Mina had to blame anyone for that, she’d blame Katsuki and Eijirou. Not that they’d know, or that they were forcing Camie to act like a stuck-up bitch, but ever since they had taken her to their bed she’s gradually become more unbearable to be around unless Katsuki was around. And even then, it changed from mocking-unbearable to flirty-unbearable. It was utterly ridiculous, considering that she knew that Katsuki would never want her again. Much less over wanting someone like Eijirou and now Izuku. Not that she knew about the latter, which would stay that way until Izuku had found himself more comfortable with them.

“He had other business to attend to.” Eijirou kept his hands folded across his chest, body completely lax even as his nerves began to grate. He knew, as well as anyone else, that Camie had only liked him for the sexual pleasure they shared once. So any other time they met, she saw him as competition for Katsuki’s attention. He didn’t understand why she’d even think she could compete and he would be talking to Katsuki about this again when he got home, but for the sake of getting this wrapped up as quickly as possible he wouldn’t allow himself to indulge too much into their little rivalry. “I don’t think I need to remind you that you’re not the only person who works under Kats.”

“Ah, yes, I’m aware.” Camie’s eyes narrowed a bit at Eijirou’s perfect mask. It wouldn’t be accurate to say that she enjoyed getting under his skin. While she cared little about ranking and how that affected how much respect she should show to certain individuals, she knew that if she truly pushed too hard then Eijirou would murder her on the spot and Katsuki would only care because he’d need to replace her. Most often than not, the two men shared similar thoughts and methods on how to deal with disrespect within the yakuza. Hell, she’s been present at many executions of those who got too cocky when they were promoted and took their titles for granted.

“Then you should know that there are more pressing matters to attend to than you.” Eijirou made sure to emphasize the you, a clear warning against Camie’s usual chat about Katsuki. On most days, he found it entertaining that she thought she’d weasel another chance to be with them (mostly Katsuki) in. However, because they had Izuku now, he couldn’t let this behavior continue. Lord help everyone if she ever met Izuku and addressed him like she sometimes addressed Eijirou. He could take her words and spit the venom right back. Izuku? He didn’t want to chance it. The best way to assure no feelings would be hurt on the greenette’s part was to break this behavior. Admittedly, it should have been done a long time ago, but hey. No better time than the present, right?

“I understand.” Camie slammed her file down and sat up straight, her previous playfully aggravated nature gone and replaced with her business-aura. Or, whatever it was that Mina liked to call it. She snapped her fingers and gestured for her lieutenant - Inasa Yaorashi if Eijirou remembered correctly - to hand her the briefcase that must have contained their cargo. As it was set on the table, she fished out the key from her pocket and slid it across the surface. Eijirou waited until her fingers left it before unlocking the case and lifting the top. He didn’t want to open it all the way, as he only needed to get a quick peek to make sure that their cargo was present. Once that was confirmed, he’d deliver it to their labs to get it properly checked out. With their reputation, Camie could have easily ordered a heart from the black market instead of actually doing her work correctly.

It wouldn’t be the first time she had done such a thing to boost her reputation. She thought that if she could prove that she could get the missions she was assigned done quicker, it would promote her record until she could stand beside Katsuki instead of under him. Unfortunately for her, but fortunately for the rest of them, she neglected to realize that the proof she brought back was tested before it was taken in. Therefore, she only got away with her little fakes about twice before getting caught. After that, once would think she’d learn not to take Katsuki’s trust for granted. And to be fair, she hasn’t. But she’s also become craftier, so if she ever did try to trick them again she knew what steps to take to prolong her punishment.

At this point, she sounded more dangerous than she was. Really, if she was that much of a threat then Katsuki wouldn’t have placed her as one of his captains.

“After we have this confirmed, we’ll get back to you.” Eijirou locked the case back up after it was closed. Once the click sounded out, he handed it to Mina before smiling back at Camie and her lieutenant. It was far from what some might call sincere and Camie must have noticed his intention because she bowed her head so she wasn’t making eye contact. In a battle of dominance, the last time she challenged him nearly cost her her right eye. Katsuki wasn’t impressed with either of them, but in true Katsuki fashion, the punishment Eijirou got for acting out was far less humiliating than hers. “For your sake, I hope that this isn’t one of your tricks.”

Logically, Eijirou knew that Camie wouldn’t do such a thing after being caught once. However, it never hurt to warn her of what the consequences would be if she was ever so stupid. That, and he wouldn’t deny that it was satisfying to watch her submit to him when he knew how much she wanted to be the one in his place. Rank wise and relationship-wise when it came to Katsuki.

“Your next target will be sent to you by day’s end. For now, I’d get some rest if I were you. This next one will require some intensive travel.” Eijirou turned his back, flanked by Mina and the other subordinates he had brought. They were more for show than anything else, especially compared to Camie, who was only allowed to bring Inasa. “We both know how delicate you can get when it comes to jet lag.”

A smirk found its way onto Eijirou’s face when he heard her growl in annoyance as he exited the room. The tension in the air and in his body drained itself as he stepped outside to get to his car, where he was finally allowed to sigh in relief. He made it a mission not to react too much when he was leading meetings like that, but in the safety of his vehicle he could let it out. Mina slid in after him, the case placed in her lap as their door was closed. Already knowing where to go, the driver started up the car before beginning their journey. Eijirou didn’t need to check the rearview mirror to know that his subordinates were waiting for them to leave the parking area before following.

“So, when do you think Katsuki’s gonna give us the ok to off that leech?” Mina turned towards the window, idly watching the buildings pass by in a blur. “I get that it would be irritating to find someone to take her place, but come on! Even he bitches about her when it comes to briefing him on her activities.”

“She’s good at what she does, but let it be known that if she sends Kats on more flirty wink he’ll take both of her eyes. Which, ya know, might just impede her work enough to make her death worth it.” Eijirou rubbed a hand down his face. He had never been one for whining without actually doing anything, but she had always been some sort of exception. She was one of the first women he didn’t enjoy having sex with, she was one of the few people who made him question Katsuki’s devotion to him, and she was the only one who got him so conflicted over his personal desires and the interests of the family. None of them were really good things, but life had to have some struggle for it to really be considered a life. “I’m just waiting for it to happen. Now that we have our Izuku, he’ll probably want to get it over with before anything...tragic...happens.”

Mina flinched at that. Camie was pretty ballsy, but even she wouldn’t dare speak out against Izuku if Katsuki and Eijirou both made it perfectly clear that he belonged to them. It would be an unspoken rule that no one was allowed to harm him in any way, physically or emotionally. Anyone who did would face their wrath, no matter who they were. Hell, she doubted that someone as close as her, Denki, or Ochako would escape prosecution if they did anything to mess up their relationship. And they were the closest anyone could get to Katsuki and Eijirou!

“How's the green bean doing, by the way?” As fun as it would be to keep continuing dissing Camie, Mina knew that if they kept feeding off of each other then Eijirou would be in a horrible mood when they got back. And if he returned in a terrible mood, then that would only set Katsuki off. Which, in turn, might freak Izuku out more than he already was. And once that happened, then both heads would be out for blood. “Heard Ochako was the one keeping him company. Didn’t trust Denki or me to make him feel welcome?”

Eijirou could detect the teasing tone behind Mina’s voice, but there was also some semblance of sting to her words. In all honesty, he and Katsuki had been thinking of them when it came to broadening Izuku’s knowledge of friendships. However, Ochako kinda got to him before they figured she would and seemed to get along fairly well. When observing their interactions, he noticed that he was the calm, reassuring presence that Izuku needed. He had them and he understood that they’d never hurt him, but they were still his boyfriends. He needed someone else, someone on the outside (so to speak) to help reassure him. As much fun as he’d have with Mina and Denki, looking back on it, he could also see how they could overwhelm him.

“The amount of energy you guys have is a bit high for right now.” Eijirou set a comforting hand on Mina’s thigh, squeezing when she turned her head to glance at him. “We want him to get accustomed to his new home slowly so that there’s not too much backlash. We already have him sleeping with us and we haven’t given him the option of having his own room. I can’t say I regret taking that choice from him, but it does mean that he may feel a bit suffocated right now.”

“And Denki and I can get in peoples’ faces a lot.” Mina deadpanned, snorting softly as she gazed back outside. She wasn’t actually that mad about their decision, when she really thought about it she could understand the benefits. It was mostly disappointment in the circumstance that drove her to sound more hurt than she was. She was so excited to meet the little sweet pea that had captured both Katsuki and Eijirou’s attention like no one before has. He was also physically adorable and, supposedly, calming to be around because of his submissive nature. She knew how much they needed more of those types of people in their lives. “I get it. Really, I do. I guess I’m just a bit down that I got so excited and I have to wait more. You get it?”

“Fuck yeah!” Eijirou laughed. “You’re forgetting who had to watch from afar for months before even beginning the courting process. Then we had to wait for several more before bringing him here and, even in that time, we were thinking of giving him a bit longer so that he wouldn’t be overwhelmed with the ever-changing environments. I know it’s tough to stay patient, but believe me, it’ll be worth it when he becomes comfortable enough to seek you out.”

“You sure he’ll do that? Baku-babe said that even with you guys - his own boyfriends - he’s still super shy.” Mina could understand how intimidating this whole thing could be, but to her understanding, Izuku had already been promised that no harm would come to him. Given that he hasn’t been provided with a reason not to trust them, what was up? Sure, the yakuza didn’t always have the best reputation, but they weren’t promise breakers by heart. The only deal she could think of in the Bakugous family history, ever, was a result of being sold out to the police by some dealers. The Bakugous promised them protection, but revoked it after that ordeal. Not exactly the most treacherous examples if she had to say so herself.

Then again, making promises like that could be considered rare. So maybe that was something to think about as well. They didn’t get the chance to promise important things like that a lot, so it wasn’t put into demonstration enough.

“Everything will work out in the end. These things just need a delicate balance to keep from breaking.” Eijirou gave Mina one last reassuring smile before the car stopped, their driver announcing their arrival. At that, both understood that it was time to get back to business and they could come back to Izuku at a later time. As they exited the car and made their way to Mei’s lab, they passed by the training room and heard several types of animalistic sounds. It wasn’t out of the norm to hear such things, but the cheering that usually took place was oddly un-present. Taking a peek inside, a pleased smile made its way onto Eijirou’s face when he noticed that it was only Katsuki and Shouto. With the addition of Denki watching from the sidelines.

“You go on to Hatsume’s. Then meet me back here.” Eijirou nodded his head down the hall. “I think it would benefit us all to get some energy out. Don’t you think?”

Mina shook her head, a fond snort leaving her as she started down. “You sure it won’t just make you friskier for when you go see your Zuku? Pretty sure we all know what fighting does to you and Baku-babe!”

“Mina!”

∾∾∾∾∾∾ With Izuku ∾∾∾∾∾∾

Izuku cheered as he moved his Rook to the outer edge of the board, successfully trapping Ochako’s king against the opposite corner with the help of his second Rook and his Queen. It had taken a few tries to find an edge that he’d be able to trap her in without risking any of his vital pieces, but the trial and error that he had worked through seemed to pay off. With Ochako check-mated, this would make it a tie between both of their victories and their losses. To Izuku, that really said something. He was used to puzzles and figuring things out, for sure, but this type of strategy was never really something he needed in his life. The idea of sacrificing pieces (or warriors if this were real life) to achieve total domination of the game wasn’t an environment he could say he was used to.

On the other hand, Ochako could consider herself a trained mercenary at this point. Therefore, a bit of an expert when it came to these types of games. The idea of examining a layout and placing pieces (or people) to surround their target and take out the help was second nature to her. Yet she remained patient with Izuku’s experimentations, encouraging him to explore different placements or attack maneuvers on the board when it was clear he wasn’t used to playing chess. It was relaxing when she really thought about it. But alas, all things good and bad needed to come to an end eventually.

“I need to get back to my room. Got a shift to complete in 20 minutes.” Ochako stretched her arms above her head, sighing in pleasure as a few pops and cracks sounded off. No matter how many times Katsuki had yelled at her about proper posture and all that, it was so hard not to hunch over when she was doing work over a table. Maybe it was because the surface was lower than she would have preferred or maybe it was because she secretly needed glasses to see everything as clear as it could be. Whatever the reason, whenever she was done with desk work or doing something with Izuku (be it explaining things, telling stories, or playing games like chess) she could herself be full of bones that needed some serious cracking before she could move too much. “It was fun spending time with you though! I should introduce you to a new game tomorrow. We’ll get you well educated in as many as there is in no time!”

“O-oh...I d-don’t think th-that would ever be p-possible! Every g-g-game in existence?” There were just so many! Especially if they were counting video games and card games alongside board games. Oh! And there were also those types of games like truth-or-dare and spin the bottle that didn’t really fit into either category. Maybe those could be considered party games? From what Izuku remembers in High School, a lot of people fondly recalled them when they were spending time with friends or at a party. “Hehe...it’s a f-fun th-thought though.”

“You never know, cutie. Maybe one day I’ll convince your lovers to give me an entire day off and we can get you caught up.” Ochako sent him a small wink as she walked towards the door. Even though she didn’t get to talk about their family as much as she had planned, she could hardly say that today’s hand out session had gone to waste. Izuku was growing more comfortable with her, which in itself was a pretty good sign each time. They also got to discuss Katsuki and Eijirou more, where some essential questions met some direct answers. At this point, even if Izuku was scared of what he heard, she could tell that he was more at ease now that he knew the truth.

She could relate. Being kept in the dark felt much worse than knowing the details a good portion of the time. That, and this was the yakuza. Not knowing something could have detrimental consequences.

“Have a good evening, Izuku! Hopefully, we’ll meet again at dinner!”

“You too, Urar-I mean...Ochako-kun!”

Ochako rolled her eyes, pausing as she gripped the door handle. “Getting better. But mark my words, I will get you to call me my first name without stuttering at some point. You’re family now, no need for formalities dear.”

With that, she gently shut the door. She made sure that the click signaled its completion before walking away. Izuku listened to her footsteps until they got too quiet to hear, then sighed and set about putting the chessboard away. The pieces were set into their proper holds with great care, giving Izuku plenty of things to do with his hands as his mind began to run. If Ochako was talking about dinner, then that probably meant that Eijirou and Katsuki were done with whatever they needed to get done for the day. From there, they’d either be coming back from the training room or directly from their daily tasks. Depending on which one it was, they'd either fall onto him and demand cuddles or spend the time waiting for dinner asking about how his day’s been.

It was nice that they were so invested, but recently, Izuku’s had little to say. Ochako kept his days a lot calmer than what he had prepared for, but their talks left more wonders than they did conclusions. And, because of that, he never felt like he was ready to talk to his...boyfriends...about it. Why was that still so hard to think about? Though, speaking of boyfriends...it had been a while since they’ve been out on a date. As strange as it was for his mind to go there, he could admit that a big part of him was craving to go outside. For his safety, Eijirou and Katsuki had insisted that he stay in their shared room. Because they’ve been so busy, they haven’t been able to take him out and, as much as they seemed to trust Ochako, she probably didn’t have permission to take him anywhere. Maybe the kitchens if he asked, but why would he when meals were sent to him?

It really was like living in a dark version of a dream. Izuku didn’t want to live in a world where he never wanted to lift a finger. Growing up in a place where working to survive was what took up all of his energy and his thoughts certainly made him pretty humble and grateful for what he had, if he said so himself. However, it would be inaccurate to say that he wasn’t relieved that he could actually eat appropriate amounts of food and not worry about his safety when he went to sleep. It also helped that his meals always seemed to have the appropriate amount of necessary proteins and nutrients that helped his transitioning process. He was slowly beginning to feel less terrible and more like he had an actual body again.

As he finished setting the game down and climbing back onto the bed to look through his phone, he heard a pair of voices laughing their way towards him until the door opened. He blushed brightly as he set his phone aside so that he could give his lovers his attention. He could tell that they must have had a shower recently from how some hair was still hanging down a bit from the dampness. Or, in Eijirou’s case, his usual spikes were completely gone and his hair had fallen straight. Katsuki still had his dandelion-like hairstyle, but the spikes themselves were a bit less defined and sharp.

“Hey babe.” Eijirou was the first to walk over to him. He placed several kisses along his cheeks before placing a longer-lasting chaste one to his lips. It was a newly discovered way to comfort Izuku, as well as express his joy at being reunited once more. “How’s your day been?”

“N-not bad. Ochako sh-showed me a l-lot more m-m-moves in Chess.” Izuku tried to smile, but it shifted into a wobbled line when Eijirou was nudged away so that Katsuki could take his own kiss. His strategy couldn’t be farther from what Eijirou did, but Izuku couldn’t say he was upset by it. He’d always known that showing a sense of softness came easier to Eijirou than it did their blonde lover. It wasn’t something that Izuku could blame Katsuki for, especially knowing that he was the true head of their family. It kinda went without saying that there was more pressure on Katsuki compared to Eijirou, which may have included conditioning to avoid too much mushiness. “H-h-hi, K-Katsuki.”

“Hey Freckles.” Katsuki pressed a sturdy kiss to Izuku’s forehead before kicking aside his shoes so he could climb into the bed. He made his way around Izuku so that he could grab onto their little greenette, nuzzling into him a bit as he scooted the two of them back. It ended with Katsuki against the pillows with Izuku between his legs, leaving the front perfectly open for Eijirou to fill. Which he did without hesitation, only pausing when Katsuki growled at him to remove his shoes.

“H-how about y-you g-guys?” Izuku needed to turn a bit so he could comfortably let Eijirou rest his head in his lap. His fingers were immediately in those red locks, scratching lightly as he massaged any small tangles that may not have been brushed out when Eijirou was drying his hair. With the gel out, it made Eijirou’s hair even smoother as Izuku moved his hands around. “B-busy d-d-day?”

“You could say that.” Katsuki groaned into Izuku’s ear, resting his head on top of Izuku’s green hair. It provided the perfect cushioning while also granting him access to Izuku’s body. Caged between him and Eijirou, there was almost no safer place for that little body to be. “Fucking idiots still exist for some reason.”

Eijirou snorted. “Last time I checked, you found fun insulting those mentioned idiots.”

“Doesn’t mean I’m not irritated as well.” Katsuki reached over to flick the redhead’s forehead, careful not to hit Izuku’s hands as the freckled teen kept massaging that clean scalp. “Cuddle us before dinner? Don’t want to have to deal with everyone else without my cuddles.”

Izuku giggled adorably at the sudden shift in Katsuki’s behavior. Only his boyfriend could make such demands sound so cute instead of bossy. And to be fair, cuddling only meant that Izuku wouldn’t have to think about the day's events (that caused several headaches) and only needed to focus on relaxing in bed with his boys. They wouldn’t let him fall too hard in doubt of fear and he wouldn’t let them fall too deep in stress. Really, it worked out for everyone.

Just as Katsuki had hinted at when Izuku was first brought here.

Maybe...just maybe...Izuku really was getting better at adjusting to his new life.

Notes:

I hope everyone liked this one-shot! I thought that it would be nice to give everyone a glimpse of how each individual (of our three boys) was adjusting to the new situation. Katsuki and Eijirou still have responsibilities, but they always make sure that they don’t leave Izuku alone for more than a few hours. Izuku, for as scared as he is, can't push his lovers away when he only wants to understand and explore what it means to be loved like this. As always, please leave plenty of comments and kudos, I love talking to you guys. Thanks, everyone!
