Choices, Choices

Summary:

Izuku was no stranger to “good things comes to an end”. Normally though, he was able to work himself out of whatever situation he had gotten trapped in. This though? Katsuki and Eijirou have made sure that he had nowhere to run to if he wanted to try and escape them.
Not that that was something they really needed to worry too much about…

Work Text:

“So, what do you say baby?” Katsuki purred, holding a hand out as Izuku trembled with uncertainty. His hands were slapped over his mouth as he tried not to gasp out in shock and a bit of fear, but his body just wouldn't stop moving! It most certainly didn’t help that Katsuki had found it appropriate to crowd him in the front while Eijirou made sure he couldn’t escape anywhere by placing himself directly behind. It left Izuku sandwiched between the two, caged in a way that briefly reminded him of Shigaraki but...still felt...different. Alleviating, even if it was a trap.

“I-I...I d-d-don’t…” Izuku swallowed audibly, trying his best not to flinch backward as Katsuki raised a brow at him. It was one of the least threatening things a human could do, yet Izuku saw it as the same thing as having someone pull a gun out and point it straight at him. In his defense, by now he had learned that Katsuki had done that exact thing to several people in his life and was most likely armed if he wanted to do such a thing to Izuku. And, if he chose to do that, then Izuku didn’t see himself staying conscious for much longer. If he wasn’t killed for his lack of answer, then he’d hopefully hit his head harshly against the floor when he fainted. “P-please...I...I d-don’t-I can’t-!”

Katsuki clicked his tongue, pulling his hand back as he approached. Izuku yelped in fear as he got closer, but his feet remained planted to the ground. Even as Katsuki reached out to stroke a freckled cheek, all Izuku did was shut his eyes as if expecting to be slapped. How it had gotten to this, well...that was quite the story…

Katsuki didn’t regret not killing Shigaraki immediately. He wanted to actually be able to appreciate the pain and the suffering he knew he could bestow upon the other, something he wouldn't be able to do until he and Eijirou had safely tucked Izuku to their side. Since their dates had been going so well, he figured it would only be a few weeks in time until he could safely bring Izuku to their place. It would be an introduction to how important they were to the public eye before slowly adding to how their names were also well-known in the underworld. Mina and Denki had volunteered to help with that part, befriending Izuku for more than a personal interest to know him.

While he didn’t fancy sharing Izuku with his wildcard friends, Eijirou had brought up that it would be important for Izuku to have some connection outside of them. They didn’t want to isolate him too much, they still wanted him happy. Giving him friends who they could trust and would keep him safe would be perfect. Admittedly, a blowjob snuck its way in as Eijirou was making his argument, but Katsuki refused to consider that a big factor as to why he agreed so quickly.

Unfortunately, they had made a mistake in forgetting to temporarily taking their attention away from Shigaraki. In a moment of excitement over discussing their next arrangements with Izuku, they had forgotten how crafty that crusty son of a bitch could be. While not nearly as frightening as Eijirou and Katsuki could be, especially when they both worked together instead of focusing on their separate tasks, he had his own influence over some weak minds in their family. By some miracle, he had managed to manipulate the one who was bringing him meals into getting close enough to knock out. From the way the security cameras told it, it was like a classic movie escape. Only, instead of taking the keys off of the guard, Shigaraki stole the idiot’s gun since Katsuki refused to let anyone other than himself, Eijirou, and Ochako have the keys to those specific restraints.

After shooting himself free, he managed to get out of the cell area before the alarms had been set off. People rushed to try and stop him, but he knew the building well enough to slip out mostly undetected. The headstart didn’t help either. When he had gotten outside, they were still trying to figure out which exit he had taken. When they had finally caught onto his trail, he had killed the guards protecting the garage and had stolen one of the cars. One of Eijirou’s security cars, to be clear, so it wasn’t like he was difficult to pick him out even as he got onto the open road. No, no, the most concerning thing about his escape was where he was going. It was originally thought that he’d try to take refuge in The Den since that could be qualified as a safety net. However, his path diverged miles away and it could be concluded that he was headed towards a very familiar address.

Izuku Midoriya…

Katsuki and Eijirou had never hauled ass faster than they had when they were told that Shigaraki wasn’t just trying to run. He was running with their Izuku in mind, likely under the impression that the greenette would protect him.

“Fucker!” Eijirou had almost carried Katsuki out in a fireman's carry when the blonde took a bit too long trying to find a good knife to use. He had too many and he really needed to get to organizing his collection better after the crisis had been averted. As it stood, the main objective was to try and make it there before Shigaraki or close enough in time to prevent him from doing anything stupid. There was little proof that he went there knowing that Izuku was theirs, he probably just knew that he could intimidate the poor boy into submission for enough time to hide.

With that in mind, keeping their movements careful and hidden was the key to their quiet success. Involving Izuku would be the last resort. If they could solve this without pulling weapons out while he was in the room, then Katsuki and Eijirou would take it. If only the universe was truly that kind.

As they parked outside, they could see Izuku’s door being forced shut as someone hurried in, followed by Katsuki’s phone beginning to ring. He picked it up in a hurry, nearly missing the slide-bar to take the call. No explanations were exchanged on Izuku’s part, just harsh pants as he begged for Katsuki and Eijirou to help him escape a dangerous situation unscathed. Not in those exact words, but along those lines. Shigaraki angered shrieks and the bangs of his gun against the door of whatever room Izuku was in showered over everything else, making both men just angry enough to shove themselves out of the car. Fuck backup, fuck doing this subtly, Shigaraki was already in there. If they didn’t do something NOW then they might not have the chance to get Izuku out unharmed.

The door was revealed to have ruined hinges, but what was new? The thing was crap anyway, Izuku had something much better prepared for him when this whole ordeal was over. Katsuki kept Izuku on the line, if only to try and offer some comfort as he and Eijirou got their weapons ready. Shigaraki had no guard up when they pushed through the door, his focus solely on trying to shave himself through the door as he screamed profanities at a horrified Izuku. Why Crusty hadn’t shot yet was unknown, not to say that it wasn’t relieving. It could either be because he had used all of his ammo during his escape or he was somehow aware of how a gunshot might push someone to call the police.

Either way, it didn’t matter. Nothing stopped Eijirou from raising his own weapon, making a show of cocking it to get Shigaraki’s attention. It took a few moments and Eijirou really considered firing a warning shot before Katsuki elbowed him harshly in punishment for even thinking of doing something so stupid. At the latest hiss he let out, Shigaraki had finally stopped assaulting Izuku’s room door to turn his attention towards the new noise. His narrowed eyes had widened for a fraction of a second before he was backing up, shakily bringing his gun up and stuttering out some type of threat. It was weak, especially compared to the heat he had just laid into Izuku.

“Stay in the room for me, ok sweetie?” Katsuki tried to whisper, hoping that Izuku could hear him over how he was beginning to hyperventilate. “No matter what you hear, I need you to stay in your room. Nice and safe, ok?”

“K-K-Kacch-chan!” Izuku sniffed a bit, continuing to sob his precious heart out as Eijirou took a step forward. He trusted Katsuki to keep their lover calm, which left him with the pleasure of getting to take care of Shigaraki in any way he needed. A small smirk pulled at his lips, a brow rising in mock question as Shigaraki made no move to cock his own gun. He was shaking so badly that he probably would be able to aim properly anyway, but it would still be a wise decision to keep his eye on that. As soon as Shigaraki made a move to prepare to fire, Eijirou would take that arm out and charge.

“D-did you b-b-bring s-someone?” Izuku was truly oblivious to just where Katsuki was calling him from. Good. “M-Mr. Sh-Shigarak-k-ki...he’s h-here! I-I d-d-don’t know wh-what’s going on! H-he j-j-just sh-showed up w-with a g-g-gun and-!”

“We won’t let him hurt you, Freckles.” Katsuki gave Eijirou a small nod, pulling the bottom of his coat aside to expose the knife he had attached to the holder on his thigh. It wasn’t nearly as fast as a gun, but well within the 21-foot mark, he considered himself safe. Taking the blade out to twirl it around threateningly, he kept his eyes trained on Shigaraki as he approached the door. “I’ll see ya soon, alright? Trust us, baby.” He hung up soon after so that Shigaraki wouldn’t catch a word he said. Lip-reading has never been the other’s strong suit since he got impatient with the learning process, so all Katsuki had to do was close distance before pressing his blade to Shigaraki’s throat.

He made sure not to press too hard, otherwise, he might accidentally cut through the skin. And wouldn’t that just be lovely to explain to Izuku? Giant streaks of blood being sprayed everywhere, accompanied by a gargling corpse? Jesus, even he wasn’t that twisted to think that would be an appropriate date gift.

Katsuki kept his eyes on Shigaraki as the other slowly lowered his gun. Through the fear-driven delirium and common idiocy, he at least had the knowledge that he wouldn’t win when outnumbered. Much less when he was outnumbered specifically by the heads of his ex-yakuza family. Eijirou was smart enough to keep his own gun out and up as he approached Shigaraki, only placing it back in its holder after he had confiscated Shigaraki’s weapon. It was obvious from the looks that Shigaraki was sending both of them that he wanted to do something. Fight, try to run, scream for Izuku - the list was endless when Katsuki really thought about it. Logically, he knew what stopped the other from doing something THAT stupid but he was still grateful either way when all Shigaraki did was spit on the floor at his feet when Eijirou had started to haul him out.

His redheaded boyfriend growled in displeasure before delivering a heart hit to the back of Shiaraki’s skull, not nearly enough to knock him out but plenty of force to hurt. It caused Shigaraki to stumble over, knocking a few things down before Eijirou had caught his arm. As funny as it would be to see him faceplant, Izuku was still waiting behind his door for some confirmation of safety. That in mind, Eijirou took out his gun again so he could strike Shigaraki’s temple with it. He left all of the restraint gear in the trunk, so it’d be a lot easier if Shigaraki was unconscious by the time they got outside.

Katsuki watched the two go and waited ten seconds after Eijirou had gotten out before knocking on the door Izuku had been hiding behind. He heard a few sniffs and some pleas for everything to be alright before it opened, but when red connected with green the floodgates reopened. Izuku practically threw himself into Katsuki’s arms as he sobbed out his thanks, beginning to mumble in that adorable way of his - about how he couldn’t believe Shigaraki had come to him like this and how he was so happy to have such amazing boyfriends.

Oh yeah...boyfriends…

The word wasn’t used often since Izuku was so shy around them, even after months of courting, but Katsuki supposed neither he nor Eijirou could blame the boy. The whole experience could be a bit nerve-wracking.

“Hey, there Freckles.” Katsuki sat the two of them down as he hugged the boy. Izuku’s tears made quick work of the cloth covering his shoulder, but he hardly cared as he felt the fabric beginning to stick to his skin. The moistness of it was nearly numbing compared to the discomfort he felt as Izuku continued to shake uncontrollably in his hold. He wouldn’t say he was scared that he wouldn’t be able to comfort the boy. After all, there were very few things Katsuki Bakugou couldn’t do. What he was concerned about was how he and Eijirou were going to explain this. Izuku possessed a healthy amount of nativity that they had led him into when it came to the darker aspects of their personal lives, but he was still fairly smart.

How long would it take for him to connect the dots when he noticed that there weren’t any officers around?

How long would it take for him to start digging into where Shigaraki had truly gone and why that psycho felt like he needed to hide out in his apartment?

What would happen if he and Eijirou weren’t here to keep Izuku close when he was going through all of this doubt?

Perhaps...it was time for some things to come to light…

Katsuki couldn’t find a reason to convince himself not to take Izuku with him so they could keep him safe more effectively. He hardly considered that it would be an easy task convincing Eijirou to settle with keeping things the way they were.

“I need you to pack your bags, alright baby?” Katsuki pressed a chaste kiss to Izuku’s quivering lips as he adjusted his hold. As he stood both of them up, he started to lead them back into Izuku’s bedroom before silently urging him to obey his previous command. It took a small amount of pushing towards the container that Izuku kept his clothes in before the greenette realized what Katsuki wanted, but when it hit him he took little time to get the job done.

Katsuki should have been surprised at how easy it was to get Izuku out of his home - one of the places he may have felt most safe in. However, considering that the boy’s nightmare had just broken in and, well, any idea about Izuku struggling flew out of the window. At this point, Izuku felt safer with them than he felt in any place. Hopefully, it would remain that way as they got him back to their place.

Watching Izuku pack, Katsuki decided to text Eijirou to see how the other was. It took a couple of minutes, but eventually, Eijirou was able to confirm that he had gotten Shigaraki “safely” into their trunk and was remaining outside to make sure he stayed. As much as he wanted to come back up and help out with Izuku, he knew better than to leave the prisoner unattended. Katsuki could respect that, so to help him and Izuku get back to their third quicker, he offered to help Izuku back any of the essentials. The only bags that Izuku had was a backpack, a small suitcase, and technically he could use his clothes container as some type of bag if he really wanted. Assuming that he’d want to put his medical supplies in the backpack, along with other small utilities, Katsuki decided to make the whole move easier by assuring Izuku that he would have some moving guys (Aka Mina and Denki) arrange for the rest of his stuff to be delivered at a later time.

In the interest of getting him to a safer location faster, he wanted them to move. Now. Izuku bought the half-truth statement easily, double-checking to make sure he had all of his essentials and a few spare clothes before grabbing onto Katsuki again. The journey to the car was silent, though not because Katsuki didn’t want to talk. Rather, he noticed how there was a slight shift in Izuku’s expression and assumed that this was probably the numbing phase. Everything that’s happened must be catching up to him.

“Hey babe!” Eijirou hugged Izuku close when the greenette was within arms reach, planting several kisses all over his face as he cooed about his concern. It gave Katsuki the chance to take the other’s backpack and throw it in the back before traveling to the other side of the car. He didn’t want to risk Izuku accidentally growing suspicious, so he decided to text his inner circle’s group chat about the recent development. By the time he got back, he wanted all-around security prepared for Shigaraki’s new cell and the master bedroom cleaned up. He was pretty sure he hadn’t let Eijirou leave until the other had picked up all of his clothes this morning, but it never hurt to be sure. The worst that could happen was that they accidentally left some dirty towels laying on the bathroom floor instead of throwing them in the hamper.

“Come on you two. Let’s go.” Katsuki titled his head at Eijirou and Izuku when he was done. From what he could see and hear, Izuku was still trying to process everything while Eijirou just wanted to make sure that Shigaraki hadn’t been able to do anything harmful to their love. “You’re gonna be staying with us for a bit, ok sweetie? Don’t want you coming back here for a while…”

That seemed to snap Izuku out of his haze. As Eijirou gently pushed him into the car, his mouth had started to move a thousand miles a minute. It was just a constant mill of questions like “are you sure that’s ok?”, “should we tell the police?”, “are you guys gonna be safe?”, and “is this a bit too fast?” In Izuku’s defense, he was adorable as he fussed. Unfortunately, as considerable as he was for trying to take into consideration how fast-paced this was, neither Katsuki nor Eijirou planned on budging on the subject for a while. In fact, the entire car ride was only spent telling Izuku that everything would be alright, he just needed to trust their judgment on this. Which, even if it took a while, he ended up doing.

What other choice did he have? Katsuki and Eijirou have been treating him so well and Shigaraki could have sent other people after him. The best bet was to stay where he knew he’d be safe.

When they had gotten to their house, Mina and Denki were waiting for them in the garage. Welcoming smiles were passed around as they helped bring Izuku’s bag out, though both of them knew better than to touch the greenette without Katsuki or Eijirou’s permission. Plus, the poor thing was shaking so badly as he took in his new surroundings that he looked ready to fall apart should anything touch him.

“Here, give it.” Katsuki took back Izuku’s bag after Eijirou had gotten him out of the car. Gesturing to the trunk with his head, he gave his two friends a hard look until they were nodding to him in understanding. “We’ll be in our room. Make sure no one disturbs us unless it’s an emergency, got it?”

“Yes sir.” Mina and Denki decided to forgo their usual teasing nature by only bowing their heads lightly instead of saluting in a stiff manner. This was the first time they were bringing an innocent civilian into the house, so how to behave would eb a bit of an experiment. They weren't going to be manipulating him, necessarily, and they wouldn’t treat him like he was a formal ally. This was Eijirou and Katsuki’s boy, there was some warmth that needed to make itself in their interactions.

“Come along, baby.” Eijirou wrapped an arm around Izuku to keep his gaze off of the car as he led them out. “Let’s get you to your room, yeah? Then we have some...important things...to discuss for your stay.”

∾∾∾∾∾∾ Present ∾∾∾∾∾∾

Izuku could have never known that that discussion would take this type of turn. Though, if he was being honest with himself, things could have been a lot worse. Katsuki and Eijirou could have told him that they would only let him stay if he managed to pay rent, which was only scary because they knew how little money he had. If he had to give rent, then he’d need to do it some other way. And that idea alone presented several horrifying options that Izuku didn’t want to think about too much. Or they could have revealed that they were only playing with him this whole time and he was only staying here, with them, for easy access. Which he’d have to comply with or he’d die.

So, yeah, basically things could have been worse. Not to say that learning not one, but both of your lovers were heads of a powerful yakuza family was anything to scoff at. But, seriously, he could be in a much worse position right now.

“I-I don’t...d-don’t...know…” Izuku hesitantly opened his eyes when he felt someone’s fingers - Katsuki’s - rubbing at his chin. With his understanding of the blonde’s behavior and recollection of his past actions, he could deduce that it would only be a matter of moments before that hand pinched his cheeks and forced him to look up. It was always intimidating - being forced to stare into Katsuki’s eyes when they had these types of conversations - but the blonde had always insisted that he liked looking into Izuku’s eyes when they talked. Not only was it polite to make eye contact when talking, but Katsuki had claimed that there was a look in Izuku’s eyes that was inherently calming. Not that Izuku understood, but he’d take Katsuki’s word for it.

He thanked whoever was listening that Katsuki was keeping his calm now. After hearing about how upset he was, still is actually, with Shigaraki made Izuku a bit scared about what could happen to him if he provoked the other.

“We would never hurt you, baby. You know that.” Eijirou wrapped his arms around Izuku’s waist, a pleasant pressure despite how he subtly pinned the greenette’s arms to his sides. It was a hidden trap, so to speak. “But you also need to understand...we can’t risk you telling anyone about us. Ya know? If you were to join us, stay with us, then we could give you the best life out there while also being assured that everything would be safe.”

“We would never have you kill someone if you didn’t want to.” Katsuki, as Izuku had predicted earlier, forced Izuku’s chin up as Eijirou solidified his hold. Those lips that he was so used to kissing and nibbling were still quivering, but there were no tears or sobs to give away. “And we wouldn’t let anyone lay a hand on you. You’d live a life of safety and pleasure. Protected and cherished. Don’t you think you deserve that much after what the world has given you?”

Gee, thanks for making me sound like a charity case.

“Oh, baby, no.” Eijirou pressed several kisses along the side of Izuku’s neck. He genuinely sounded apologetic while Katsuki only raised a brow. “You’re no charity to us. We really just want to treat you well because we love you. That was poorly phrased on our parts, forgive us darling…”

Shoot! I said that out loud!

“Ei’s right, love. We just want to love you.” Katsuki leaned forward, pressing a kiss to Izuku’s forehead. For all of the greenette’s attempts not to show how much the kisses affected him, he only succeeded once or twice. Otherwise, he shivered whenever he felt a pair of those smooth, comforting lips press into his goosebump-covered flesh. He was being held by possibly two of Japan’s most dangerous men, yet they regarded him as if he were worth more than the finest china. It was strange when put into this context, though Izuku wouldn’t say that it was surprising. They had always had their ways of making him feel extremely special.

Guess he had a better idea of where else they got all of that money from…

Aside from running successful companies and services, of course.

“And we want you to love us. You do, don’t you?” Eijirou sounded pouty now. Shoot...one of Izuku’s weaknesses! Eijirou just reminded him so much of an adorable puppy when he talked or looked like he was pouting. “You said you did...did you lie to us about that?”

“No!” Izuku’s eyes widened and he jumped a bit in Eijirou’s arms. A flash of indignance rushed through him, but it was easily replaced by the awful venom of guilt. “No! No! No! I never lied! I swear, I do love you both! I do! I..I-I l-love...I love…”

Izuku swallowed audibly. Why did he feel like he had just sealed his own grave?

“That’s wonderful, sweetheart.” Another round of kisses along the other side of Izuku’s neck, followed by playful bites by not so playful shark-like teeth. “We love you, you love us. Really, staying with us will only end positively for you.”

“B...but y-you’re...the k-k-k-killings…”

“The people we kill are hardly innocent.” Katsuki speaks so dismissively. In regards to human lives, Izuku wants to cry a bit but he holds it in. It’s no secret as to how disturbing it is that Katsuki sounds so nonchalant about murder, but by now, he should know better than to question it. “And even if they are, we’d need some pretty convincing reason to go through with it. You know someone we want to keep alive though? Desperately?”

Izuku shook his head. He feared the answer, but his curiosity was slowly taking over any anxiety he had about the subject. With all of this talk about downplaying their murder, who was the lucky one to be kept alive? And why?

“Your mother.” That got Izuku stiffening, so much that Eijirou was a bit worried he had pulled something. But he didn’t interrupt Katsuki, only tried to remain vigilant of anything else Izuku’s body gave away. “Breast Cancer can be quite deadly, no? Even if it can be...dealt with...there’s a good chance it will come back. And given how she can’t really afford much of an operation, the tides aren’t in her favor.”

There was a dark glint to Katsuki’s eyes. One that made Izuku shamefully...hot...the longer he had those eyes on him. He felt so small in both of their grasps, but the fact that neither of them had hurt him over it was, dare he say it, endearing. He was reminded of one of the reasons he learned to love them so much in the first place.

“But we can turn them around. We can keep her alive and as happy as you are.” Katsuki pressed a thumb to Izuku’s lips, gently pushing forward so that the tip had breached the opening between the greenette’s lips. It was beyond confusing as to why the blonde had done this, but Izuku decided that continuing to listen instead of spend time thinking about it would be in his best interest. “We just need you to stay with us.”

Izuku was left to silence after that. It was pretty clear that Katsuki and Eijirou wanted him to make his choice without any more interference. So, with that in mind, he started going through his mental list of what he’s learned so far.

His life was in their hands. His mother’s life was in their hands.

He had nowhere to go. He had no one to turn to.

Eijirou and Katsuki had proven they were powerful. They had proven that their love was genuine, even if their occupations were questionable.

Really...what choice did Izuku have but to give this a try? Walking out was un-doable for more reasons than one, it would seem.

“I...o-ok. I-I’ll s-st-stay.” Izuku mustered up the courage to straighten up and try his best to stare Katsuki down. “B-but...please...don’t m-make me k-k-kill anyone. A-and...my m-mother...please keep her safe!”

He didn’t catch the look that Eijirou and Katsuki had shared, but something told him it wouldn’t have mattered either way. All that mattered was when Katsuki released his face so he could use both hands to sandwich Izuku’s cheeks between them. He leaned forward, pressing their lips together just as Eijirou whispered into his ear: “Deal. Pleasure doing business with you, sweetie~”

Notes:

I feel like this might be a bit rushed, but honestly, I didn’t have enough cute dates in mind to write about. As someone who hasn’t had the most experience with what could be considered “dates’ as opposed to hang-outs with friends, I only really know about what I’ve ready about. So...yeah...Izuku’s a bit trapped, but also a bit not since he’s actually not in a horrible position. I won’t lie, this is obvious manipulation, but I think it’s been clear that this wouldn’t be the healthiest relationship from the start. Just know that Izuku won’t be hurt.
I hope everyone liked this one-shot! As always, please leave plenty of comments and kudos, I love talking to you guys. Thanks, everyone!
