Boys night

Summary:

So this is the boys night! Not really connected to the girls night and can be read separately but they share the same universe but I tried not to talk about the other one too much. Feel free to read that one but they can be read separately! I'm an idiot and did originally plan to write Sero into it but realised at the end that I hadn't and had no natural way to slot him in so apologies that's he's missing. Tbf, a lot of the boys are as it would be too many characters to keep up with but he seemed like an obvious one that I missed! I hope you guys enjoy my shitty attempt at humour! It's just a little feel good oneshot to read :) Enjoy!

Work Text:

“Are you fucking serious, Shittyhair?” Bakugou screeched at his red-headed best friend, not ever knowing what quiet was. He dropped the controller he was holding as him and Kiri battled it out on the PlayStation.

“No fucking way.”

Kirishima groaned in frustration. He had been trying for weeks now to convince his explosive friend to have a games night with the lads, especially since he saw what fun the girls had had when they all had a sleepover. They were in their final year, exams quickly approaching and Kiri was desperate for all the guys to get together and have some fun. He adored his friends but rarely managed to get the group together outside of training. Bakugou and his damned stubborn nature.

“Come on, Bakubro!” He pleaded. “It will be so much fun! Come on, you can bring Todoroki!”

The red-head winced slightly, hoping his gamble played off by bringing up the ball of rage’s boyfriend. He seemed to be the only other person that could calm the walking explosion, as well as Kiri.

He saw the blonde pause, a scowl etched onto his face but his eyes were contemplating. Kiri knew Baku hardly got to see his duel-haired boyfriend. Even since their relationship had been made public thanks to the not so subtle hints of Mina; he hadn’t found much time to spend with him. Both were intensely focused on their training and both of them seemed to have frustratingly strict rituals which often got in the way of their romance.

“Who else is coming?” Baku finally relented. He would consider the idea, depending on what extra’s were coming.

Kiri grinned excitedly, showing off his pointed teeth, knowing he had won. Well, he shouldn’t mind everyone that was coming…

“Umm, so we’ve got, you, me, Denks, Todoroki, maybe Midoriya, and Ojiro.” He sped over Deku’s name, hoping to the God’s that Baku somehow missed it.

“What?” Baku screeched. “I’m not spending anytime with that damn shitty nerd, you hear me!”

Kiri rubbed his face, frustrated. It was a good job he loved his friend because my God he could be a piss queen sometimes.

“Come on, Bakubro. He’s Todoroki’s best friend. We can’t just not invite him.”

He saw the blonde grumble, body simmering with anger as he began pacing the red-heads room.

“Fine!” He finally let out. “But don’t expect me to talk to that damn idiot.”

“Okay!” Kirishima happily agreed, excited that he could finally start to plan something. He would get the group chat set up as soon as Baku left to go to bed. Which would be soon considering that man’s ridiculous sleep schedule. He sure hoped the blonde realised he would be staying up way past his bedtime on the night Kiri had planned. The red-head grinned wickedly to himself as he shot off a text to Denki; getting the ball rolling. Sero and the other guys had let Kiri know that they were all unfortunately busy with one thing or another but promised to be free for the next one.

A week later and everything was set. Kiri had used his charm to convince all of his other classmates that weren’t invited to the night, or that couldn’t make it, to hide in their rooms, giving the boys the use of the entire common room for the night. It meant more space and more consoles set up for various games. The girls had said it was only fair after the trouble they caused from their own drunk antics. Kiri had also taken the very useful advice from his friend Mina and snuck in several bottles of… juice. Yeah, nothing suspicious at all. It was definitely going to take some convincing of some of the guys to drink but Kiri thought that between his and Kaminari’s persuasion, they could make it happen. Baku and Todoroki were probably going to be the most stubborn out of the group.

He scanned his eyes over the space. There were several consoles set up. Mario Kart, Fall Guys, Amnesia and Resident Evil all set up to play. They could flit through competition and fun jump scares. Kiri had some big plans to get even Baku involved; knowing he would never miss an opportunity to win a bet.

He had snacks lined up in the kitchen, knowing they would need it to soak up the alcohol. That and between them, the boys had an insatiable appetite.

Kiri threw himself down onto one of the couches in the common room. His relaxed hair falling into his eyes slightly. He was just wearing his sweats and a loose shirt, wanting to be comfortable. He dropped a text to the group chat before flinging his phone to the side, suddenly feeling anxious. It had been a while since everyone had gotten together and he wondered how the night might go. He realised that Baku and Todoroki hadn’t actually hung round with anyone as a couple in a relaxed setting yet. Kiri was curious as how they would interact with each other. He hoped it wouldn’t be awkward.

Before he could delve too far into his thoughts the ball of energy that was Denki Kaminari came skipping into the room, shit eating grin plastered across his delicate features. His hair in its usual crazy style, falling over his face. He’s so pretty, Kiri thought to himself but then gave himself an internal slap at the thought. That’s your friend, Kiri. Don’t be weird.

Denki was in a pair of long cotton pyjama bottoms, a Pokémon shirt over his torso. He had taken the Pikachu jokes quite literally over the years and now proudly wore the character on any item of clothing he could. His hyper and energetic aura instantly brought a smile to Kiri’s face as Denki jumped into the seat next to him, pulling the red-head in for a hug.

Denki had always been an affectionate person, constantly touching someone, so long as they would allow him. He came from a big family, full of noise and contact so being loving just came naturally to the blonde. It was something most of the guys adored about the striped haired boy. If you needed a cuddle or your hand holding, Denki was there. All sunshine and warmth.

“Dude, I’m so excited!” Denki squealed into Kiri’s ear as he pulled away, making the red-head grin even wider.

“Me too!” He couldn’t help but match the blonde’s energy. As a naturally positive person himself, the two were lethal when put together.

“Did you get drinks?” The electric boy asked, practically bouncing in his seat. Kiri nodded and indicated with his head the several bottles laid out on the table.

The blonde quickly shot up to go and pour himself a drink, asking Kiri if he wanted one too. Fuck it, the red head thought, may as well get started.

Denki was soon back sat next to Kiri, handing him the drink and sipping his own. His eyes buzzed with excitement as he looked at the games lined up to play.

“I bet Bakugou shits himself at Amnesia.” Denki stated, a laugh falling from his lips.

And just how Denki’s luck always seemed to be, Bakugou rounded the corner as he made the statement, Todoroki following just behind him.

“What was that, discount Pikachu?” Bakugou roared, although anyone that knew him could see he held a glee in his eye, not true anger. He would never admit it but he definitely had a soft spot for his friends in class. He quickly stalked up to Denki, making the dirty haired blonde squeak and run from his seat, Bakugou close behind as he chased him.

“Kiri help!” Denki screeched, trying his best to move around the couch, desperately balancing his drink so he didn’t spill it as Baku stalked him, attempting to cut him off.

“I’m sorry Denks. You’re on your own!” Kiri laughed as Bakugou lunged at the electric boy. Somehow, he dodged, sprinting off down the corridor. The platinum blonde gave chase as they heard Denki scream laughing as he ran out the room.

Kiri watched them go, knowing they would return shortly with a hopefully not densed out Denki. He felt the couch dip next to him as Todoroki took a seat.

He turned to face the duel-haired hero, seeing that he too was wearing sweats and a loose shirt. He also noted how he recognised the sweats he was wearing. They were Bakugou’s.

“Hey.” Shouto greeted simply. Never being a man of many words.

“Hi!” Kiri greeted back enthusiastically, giving him his toothy grin. He truly was excited for tonight and was actually glad of the opportunity to get to know his best friends’ boyfriend more. He had a feeling the guy wasn’t as aloof as he seemed. He was aware Todoroki hadn’t had the best childhood so was going to try his best to be kind to him. As he would anyway but he knew Shouto could be awkward without meaning to sometimes. He had also learnt the guy had a heart of gold and protected who he loved with a fiery passion that made Kiri’s heart swell. He was so manly!

Shouto’s eyes remained neutral as he moved his gaze from Kiri to the set up in front of them.

Kiri was about to speak to him, ask him something about the games when the duel-haired boy spoke first.

“We better beat Katsuki’s ass at Mario Kart. I have a bet to win.”
Kiri stared at the aloof man in shock, jaw practically on the floor. Once he got over his shock, a huge grin nearly split his face in half.

“Hell yeah!” He agreed. “We can team up if you want?”

Todoroki nodded his agreement just as the two blonde idiots came back into the room. The shorter of the two slung over Bakugou’s shoulder, shouting protests as he hit his back. Bakugou had a smug smirk on his face and was carrying Denki’s drink in his free hand that wasn’t holding onto the others waist.

He unceremoniously threw the smaller boy onto another empty couch, making Denki yelp as he panicked slightly at the motion before sitting himself up right and pouting.

“Caught you.” Bakugou said simply, offering the electric boy his drink back.

Denki took it still pouting as Bakugou ignored him and moved back over the room, sitting next to his boyfriend. Their thighs touching as he relaxed back. He easily flung an arm behind Shouto as he also sat back, leaning into the platinum blonde. Kiri’s grin only widened further; he was ecstatic that the pair felt comfortable enough to act natural.

Bakugou was dressed in black sweats and matching shirt. Everyone opting for similar attire. It was just Denki in his pyjamas so far, not that the blonde noticed as he happily sipped away at his drink, humming to some invisible tune as he bounced his leg that was sat across the other.

“Where are the last two extras?” Bakugou huffed out, clearly impatient.

“Midoriya text to say he was on his way.” Shouto replied, his hand coming to rest on Bakugou’s thigh. He didn’t tense or push him away. If anything, the explosive man seemed to relax into the touch.

“Yeah, Ojiro should be here soon too.” Denki chipped in, scrolling on his phone.

“Why don’t you get a drink whilst we wait?” Kiri suggested and to his surprise it was Shouto who nodded.

“Would you like one, Kat?” Shouto asked the blonde as he stood, his long legs stretched in front of Bakugou as he looked down at his boyfriend.

“Sure.” Bakugou agreed easily, his voice soft. What the fuck?

“You two are literally so fucking cute!” Denki let out, never being one for subtly. A small flush was colouring his cheeks as he finished off his first drink already.

“Shut it, Pikachu.” Bakugou bit, a dusting of red colouring his own cheeks.

Shouto said nothing as he got himself and the blonde a drink. Returning and sitting where he was; resuming the same position. He carefully took a sip of the drink, a light grimace on his features.

“Too strong, IcyHot?” Bakugou mocked, a smirk on his features as he watched his boyfriend attempt to swallow the fiery liquid.

“I’d like to see you do better.” The duel-haired boy challenged back, turning to face his boyfriend.

Kiri and Denki both watched intently with amusement as the two actually… flirted. Who would have thought the two seemingly emotionally constipated teens could be capable of such things?

Without breaking eye contact, Bakugou downed his drink in one go, not even flinching. He let out an exaggerated ‘ah’ as he finished, wiping his lips with the back of his hand. Shouto could only stare, his face not giving away how he felt but Bakugou could see it in his eyes. Annoyance laced with a tiny bit of arousal at the show. Todoroki simply let out a small sigh from his nose before leaning back into his boyfriend, opting for silence in his small defeat. It made the blonde smirk even wider as he rested his arm completely onto the slender man’s frame.

Bakugou’s good mood seemed to be cut short as a curly, green-haired boy entered the room. Cheeks rosy and freckles pinched as the boy grinned at his friends. He was wearing plaid pyjama bottoms with his classic All Might Tee on.

“Sorry I’m late guys! I was taking notes and lost track of time!”

Kiri could see the snarl rising on Bakugou’s lips and jumped in before the explosive man could say anything stupid.

“No worries, dude! We are still waiting on Ojiro anyway. Grab yourself a drink.” Kiri motioned over to the kitchen.

Deku’s grin widened even further as he went to the kitchen to get a drink. He hummed his response as Denki shouted at him to get him another. He was secretly very anxious about tonight, unsure of how Bakugou was going to be. The green-haired boy still sought his approval and wanted to be his friend but was also firm in his promise to himself to no longer be his punching bag.

He came back into the room, standing awkwardly for a second before moving over to sit on the floor by Denki’s feet, handing the blonde his next drink.

Deku could practically feel Bakugou glaring daggers at him, making a heat rise to his cheeks but he ignored it.

“So how are you and Ochaco?” Kiri asked, desperate to get rid of the tense atmosphere that had arisen.

Deku seemed pleased with the distraction, his blinding grin returning at the mention of his girlfriend.

“We are really good thank-you!”

Deku proceeded to then chat away about him and Ochaco, excitedly telling Kiri about different date plans they had. Kiri humming and nodded along, genuinely interested in his friends love life. Everyone listened as they sipped their drinks, glad that the silence was being filled.

Soon enough Ojiro joined, he too clad in some comfortable pyjamas and carrying even more bottles of alcohol. Ahem… juice.

“Hey guys.” He greeted as he quickly put the bottles onto the side, grabbing his own drink and joining Denki on his couch. Kaminari almost instantly latching on to the larger males’ tail. Even sober he loved to touch it and now slightly tipsy he had no inhibitions about grabbing it. Ojiro didn’t even react, used to the small male fondling him. He had been doing it since first year, after all. If anything, he quite enjoyed the contact and attention. Denki easily relaxed against him, hands slowly caressing up and down the skin of Ojiro’s tail as he spoke to everyone.

“Shall we get this party started then?” Ojiro asked, grabbing a controller to Mario Kart. “I think we should start off with some light competition.”

Everyone agreed, pairing off. Todoroki with Kiri like he had previously discussed (much to Bakugou’s annoyance), Denki instantly claiming the big-tailed hero as his partner, which left Deku with…

“No fucking way!” Bakugou shouted. Scowl set firmly on his features. Kiri rolled his eyes, ready to try and calm him down when Deku himself interjected.

“What’s wrong Kacchan? You think you can’t win with me on your team? I’m thinking you’re going to slow me down.”

Small explosions came from the blonde’s palms but nobody reacted, used to his outbursts at this point.

“No fucking way, nerd. Let’s destroy these extras.”

Shouto’s eyebrows raised up to his hairline, it has been a while since Bakugou had referred to him as an extra. Oh, he was going to kick his ass for that. His face gave nothing away to his inner tantrum.

A determined grin spread across Deku’s face as he moved over to the other side of the room, sitting by Kacchan’s feet instead. With all the boys paired off, they began their races. Steadily drinking as they played. Even Shouto sipping his vile drink, wanting to have fun with everyone.

After several rounds, everyone was now loud and at least tipsy. Shouting at the screen for each over take or stray banana peel hit.

“Who fucking put the ink ghost out?!” Bakugou shouted as he tried to manoeuvre his character around without crashing; Deku verbally hyping him up to win. Each round, the pairs would switch who had the controller. Currently it was Bakugou, Shouto and Ojiro battling it out. Each person’s partner screaming wildly with encouragement and throwing insults at the other teams. As Shouto took over Bakugou again, Deku became even more determined. There was nothing in the rules saying he couldn’t touch the other player. He shot up and knocked the controller from Shouto’s hand, causing the duel-haired to gasp in shock before flailing to pick up his controller again. Bakugou laughed manically as he took back over in game.

“Get him, nerd!” Bakugou shouted and this fuelled Deku to try and keep the remote from Shouto’s grasp, darting to grab it. A pair of large hands grabbed the green-haired boy to pull him away.

“Oh no you don’t!” Kiri shouted, jumping in to defend his partner. “Shouto, quick!”

He kept Deku pinned as the green-haired boy wiggled under his grasp; Shouto leapt to grab the controller just as Bakugou kicked it away from his reach.

“Bastard!” Shouto hissed, making Deku laugh loudly, giving up his fight against Kiri as Bakugou crossed the line.

Second place.

“What the fuck?” Bakugou roared.

Denki’s laugh made him zone his death glare onto the smaller man.

“You were too busy fighting each other that we easily took the lead!” Denki cheered, clearly very happy but also hiding behind Ojiro’s tail as the explosive man glared at him.

“You cheated!” Shouto suddenly joined, standing over his boyfriend, giving him his own glare with just made Bakugou grin.

“No, we didn’t!” Deku shouted. “Nothing in the rules said we couldn’t do that.”

Kiri lifted himself up from pinning Deku, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Unfortunately, they’re right Todoroki. We lost.”

The taller male let a dammit spill from his lips as he flung himself onto the couch, almost in a childish tantrum.

“Right what’s the forfeit?” Deku asked excitedly, the drink making him confident.

“I like the way you think, nerd. The losing team need a punishment.” He smirked, eyeing his boyfriend whose own orbs widened slightly.

“I don’t know what you two are so smug about.” Ojiro joined, his own grin plastered on his face. “You two lost as well.”

The colour physically drained from Deku’s face at this realisation and he suddenly didn’t feel so confident.

“Anything you damn idiots throw at us we can take!” Bakugou challenged, the alcohol putting him in a good mood. The blonde was actually having a lot of fun.

“Oh really?” Denki slurred. Determined to get revenge for being caught and thrown about earlier. His drunk mind whirling as he leant against Ojiro.

“I think the losing teams have got to…” Everybody braced themselves for what was about to come out of Kaminari’s mouth. “Down their drinks!”

There was a collective sigh of relief… that they could do.

Ojiro chuckled at the group’s reaction, knowing they were worried the minx next to him was going to suggest something wilder.

One by one, the losing teams downed their drinks. Shouto and Deku grimacing at theirs; it burned their throats all the way down.

The group continued their Mario Kart fun for a few more rounds, everyone losing equally this time even with the wrestling and pushing of the members not fighting. Bakugou not allowing the electric team to be forgotten about again. After a while everyone had a good buzz on and was fully relaxed. Even Bakugou was at ease, chatting away with Deku and spurring him on in their competition. He had never really hated the nerd… in fact quite the opposite but his nasty demeanour had become a bad habit. He was glad he didn’t have to keep it up for tonight and that Deku wasn’t pointing it out. He really should reconcile things though, he thought. For Shouto’s sake. That damned nerd was his best friend after all. Yeah… he would do it for Shouto.

“Hey nerd!” Bakugou called. He was currently by the drinks table, pouring himself and Shouto a drink whilst the group took a break between rounds. Everyone was chatting lightly in the common room as they waited. Nobody else reacted to his call out, the shock of him actually talking to the nerd had faded away as everyone enjoyed themselves. It was a nice feeling all of this, the blonde thought. He had good people around him that saw past his bullshit.

“Yes Kacchan?” Deku asked as he bounced up next to the blonde, curious to what he would want.

Bakugou was suddenly hit with some slight nerves but pushed them away. He was Bakugou fucking Katsuki; he didn’t feel nervous. Nope. That feeling was for extras. Not him.

He swallowed down the butterflies in his throat and chest as emerald eyes stared at him earnestly, waiting for an answer.

“You’re not that shitty at Mario Kart after all.” Deku grinned and his eyes shone with understanding.

“You’re not too bad yourself, Kacchan.” He replied, still smiling.

Bakugou grunted as he finished off the drinks before turning to face the shorter male. It was now or never he thought. He would never get Deku alone like this again and definitely wouldn’t have the courage to say how he felt.

“I’m sorry for being a shit stain.” Bakugou said, loudly and was surprised at how confidently his words came out. He couldn’t hesitate when it came to Deku this time. He had to be sincere.

Deku froze, staring up at the blonde as tears welled in his eyes.

“Kach..kacchan.” He stuttered out, getting emotional.

“Hey don’t you go putting the water works on me, shittynerd. You’re not a cry baby anymore, remember?” Bakugou’s voice came out rough, but his eyes were soft.

Deku let out a small laugh through his tears, they were happy tears. Ones of relief. But he steeled his gaze as he looked at his childhood friend.

“You’re right, Kacchan.” He agreed. “Now how about we get back and show those guys who’s the best?”

Bakugou let out a ‘tch’ but smiled at his friend. Moving back over to the common area with them.

When Bakugou sat back down next to his boyfriend, he missed the small smile that played on the dual-haired boy’s lips. He had watched the entire thing and couldn’t describe the funny feeling he got in his chest watching his boyfriend and best friend finally reconcile things. He would guess it was happiness.

The boys opted for horror games next, clicking on Amnesia and dimming the lights so the only source was from the TV itself, making the room atmospheric. The boys, hyped up on drinks and shimmying into the darkness, felt themselves get on edge. Denki letting out nervous giggles. Only one person could play at a time, the others watching.

Shouto was the first up. He had never played a horror game before, let alone this one so all the boys had voted that he would be the most fun to watch.

Disappointingly, Shouto seemed to keep his cool throughout. The only shrieks coming from the others; Kiri insisting that his were ‘manly screams.’

Todoroki even kept his cool as the water monster chased him, his gaze fixed in concentration as he ran. He was calm as a cucumber right up until Bakugou snuck up behind the boy, his breath on his ear, making the other male shiver. Todoroki did his best to ignore his boyfriend and for a while Bakugou just sat there, gently breathing on his neck. It made Shouto’s heart thump in his chest and put him on edge. Just as he was hiding from the other monster Bakugou let out a small ‘boo’ in Shouto’s ear. The taller man practically somersaulted in the air as his heart leapt from his chest and he well and truly shit himself. Frowning as he turned to see his very proud boyfriend in fits of laughter, as well as everyone else. A small blush crept up Shouto’s face, hidden by the darkness.

“You’re all bastards.” He deadpanned, secretly very amused. His words only ignited more laughter as his face got hotter.

His blush only got worse as Bakugou sat himself back up, still laughing slightly before placing a kiss smack onto Shouto’s lips. It was only a short kiss but it made Shouto’s heart race and he eyed his boyfriend as he moved away. A relaxed smile on the blonde and an excitement in his eyes that Shouto had never seen before. It made a small smile creep onto his own face again and whilst he was feeling brave, he gave Bakugou a quick peck in return.

“You two are just so fucking cute!” Denki shouted, excitedly flapping about in the dark.

Everybody laughed at his antics, even Bakugou who thought to himself. Yes, we fucking are.

The night slowly drew to a close, the boys drifting between each game and drinking. Everyone starting to yawn slightly.

“Right I’m heading off.” Ojiro stated, stretching as he stood. “Thanks for the fun guys. See you all hungover tomorrow.”

With that he saluted and left the room.

Denki looked lost for a second, his warm cuddle buddy gone but Kiri opened his arms and Denki came bundling over to snuggle into the red-heads chest as they lay down on the couch. Kiri throwing a blanket over them both.

“I’m going to see Ochaco!” Deku suddenly announced, jumping up. Alcohol fuelling him.

“Midoriya, I don’t think…” Shouto started but Bakugou hushed him, grinning wickedly.

“Let him. It will be funny.”

Shouto rolled his eyes but relented, watching amused as Deku skipped off to the girl’s dorms, completely oblivious to the fact that it was three in the morning.

“He’s going to get into so much shit.” Kiri said before yawning and wrapping his arms around Denki tighter.

The electric boy snorted; eyes closed as his head was leant against the red-heads chest.

“And like the good friends we are we are not only letting him do it, but watching with amusement.”

They all laughed lightly before going silent. Bakugou stood from the floor, offering his hand out to Shouto who took it, being lifted up.

“Do you wanna crash down here or in my room?” Bakugou asked, still holding Shouto’s hand.

Shouto contemplated for a second, he was really enjoying hanging out and knew everyone was sleepy but still didn’t want to leave.

“Can we sleep down here?” He asked. “Like they are.” He indicated towards Kiri and Denki who had seemingly fallen asleep.

“Sure.” Bakugou said, leading his boyfriend to the other couch and lying down.

Shouto gently lowered himself so he was in the same position as Denki; his head just over Bakugou’s heart. He could hear the muscle pounding in his chest. Slow, strong and steady. He found himself closing his eyes as he listening to the soothing melody of Bakugou’s heart as the blonde pulled a blanket over them.

“Night guys.” Denki called out; voice heavy with sleep.

“Night, Pikachu.” Bakugou replied.

“Yeah, night.” Kiri joined.

“Night.” Shouto felt himself say quietly.

He had never had someone say goodnight to him before.

He had never really had any meaningful relationship in his life and now he found he had several.

He fell asleep feeling the happiest he had ever felt. His broken heart feeling slightly healed and his soul more complete.
