Work Text:

-------

“Nerd.” Bakugou pokes Kirishima with his foot, making Kirishima look up from his manga.

They were laying in the common room with some of the other students. They had the afternoon off because Aizawa caught a cold and they couldn’t find another teacher to cover.

“Yes, Bakubro?”

“We’re going shopping tomorrow. Be ready at 12.” Bakugou goes back to his manga as Kirishima beams up at him, leaning forward onto Bakugou’s leg.

“Okay!”

“Oh, is this another ‘not date’? Because that’s what it sounds like.” Kaminari comments from his seat at the table.

“Shut the hell up, no one asked you. This is why no one fucking invites you anywhere.” Bakugou doesn’t look up from his manga until Kirishima swats him, complaining about how mean he was being.

“I think we should all go!” Ashido pipes up from across the common room. She was struggling to paint Hagakure’s nails with sparkly purple polish.

“I didn’t invite you nerds; I invited Kirishima. I don’t even fucking LIKE you idiots.” Bakugou scoffs, choking a bit as Kirishima hits him.

“Stop being rude! You have like no home training.”

“Jeez, Bakugou, we get it. You want to be alone with Kiri for your date.” Sero leans over Kaminari’s chair, head resting on the top of Kaminari’s head.

“It’s not a fucking date!” Bakugou stutters, as everyone laughs. He gets up, face heating up. He walks away, flustered, but not before reminding Kirishima of their meeting time.

“Sorry guys.” Kirishima rubs the back of his head as he sits up, looking for a pillow to replace Bakugou’s leg.

“We all know you’re helpless when it comes to Bakugou.” Jirou tosses him a pillow off the couch, which he catches with a whine.

“I’m not COMPLETELY helpless. I told him to stop being rude, at least.” This prompts more laughter as Kirishima buries his face back into his manga.

That didn’t stop him from getting flustered.

-------

“God, you really dress like a child.” Bakugou stands up from leaning on the couch, picking at Kirishima’s shirt.

“Dude, this is YOUR merch. How am I dressing like a child?” Kirishima pouts, looking down at his outfit. He had on an orange, green, and black Dynamight shirt, with matching Crocs and socks. His outfit was completed with a pair of dark jeans and a thick cloth Dynamight wristband.

“Only children have hero merch, nerd.”

“But you have like, a ton of All Might merch!”

“Yeah, from when I was a kid.”

“You’re unbelievable!” Kirishima throws his hands up, walking out the door as Bakugou follows him, smirking.

-------

“What about these?” Kirishima held up a pair of jeans, waiting for Bakugou’s approval.

“Acid wash? Seriously? This isn’t the 90s, Kirishima. Here, try these on.” Bakugou hands him a stack of clothing, Kirishima almost buckling under the weight.

“Dude, this is so much! We’re going to be here for hours!”

“Fucking good. Maybe then you’ll have enough clothes to come up with a decent outfit.” Bakugou leans against the wall outside the dressing room that Kirishima had just walked into.

“My outfits are not THAT bad, Mr. Fashion Designer Parents. You’re just stuck up.” Kirishima peeks his head out of the dressing room, sticking his tongue out at Bakugou. He closed the door before Bakugou could hit him, laughing as he finished dressing himself.

“They’re fucking terrible, Kir. Blind people could dress themselves better.

“Hey, what did I say about being rude?” Kirishima steps out of the dressing room in some of the clothes Bakugou picked for him, and the blonde freezes.

Kirishima had on a thin, multicolored, short sleeve button up with blocks printed on it, accompanied with a pair of pitch black jeans. He had on a pair of gold rimmed, circular sunglasses, and a matching chain draped around his neck. A singular gold earring dangled from his ear as he stood in front of Bakugou, fidgeting with the edge of his half tucked in shirt.

“So? Uh, how do I look?” Kirishima tugged at his shirt again as Bakugou sputtered.

“Uh it’s fine.”

“Just fine? Cuz I don’t have to buy it…”

“We’re buying it.” Bakugou pushed Kirishima back into the dressing room, the sudden movement making Kirishima giggle as he realized what was going on.

“Oh, you like it. You SO like it, Bakugou! Your face is red and everything!” Kirishima shuts the door, but not before Bakugou manages to get inside. He trips over Kirishima’s clothes on the floor, running into the redhead.

“What the hell, Shitty Hair? Why did you leave your...clothes on the floor?” Bakugou trails off as he notices his situation. The dressing room was tight, and so when he tripped, he had managed to push Kirishima up against the mirror, keeping him stuck up against his body. Kirishima hadn’t buttoned the shirt all the way up, and so Bakugou was pressed up against Kirishima’s bare chest.

“Heh uh it was an accident?” Kirishima’s face starts to redden, causing Bakugou to backpedal until he was up against the door.

“Fucking nerd. Just finish changing.”

-------

Kirishima had picked about 3/4 of the clothes Bakugou had picked out for him before moving on to the stuff he had picked himself. Bakugou rejected 95% of what he picked out, only allowing Kirishima one shirt.

“Bro, it’s MY merch! I can’t wear my own merch?” Kirishima stood in front of him in a black and maroon Red Riot long sleeve, with a pair of black sweats and a matching jacket.

“Wearing your own merch is even worse than wearing someone else’s.”

“C’mon, man, please?” Kirishima looked up at Bakugou, pressing his palms together as he bowed slightly.”

“Fine, fine. Only because it looks good on you.”

“Everything looks good on me!”

-------

Bakugou and Kirishima stand at the counter, attempting to separate Kirishima’s stack of clothes from the few items that Bakugou wanted to purchase for himself. They were having a difficult time; every time they got one thing separated, another thing managed to get drawn back into the chaos.

“Shit! I’ll just pay for all of it. Fuck this shit!” Bakugou shoves the clothes at the woman at the register, who yelps and starts scanning.

“What? You’re not paying for all thi-” Bakugou turns to look at Kirishima, and Kirishima falls silent. He could see the tiredness and irritation in Bakugou’s eyes, and knew it would be better to just pay him back rather than argue. So he just winces when the cashier reads out the total, shocked that Bakugou doesn’t even seem phased.

“Don’t even bother trying to pay me back, idiot. I did this for your own good.” Bakugou picked the bags up roughly before striding aggressively out the store. Kirishima followed behind him, albeit much softer.

“Yeah, yeah. Okay, Bakugou.”

-------

“Hey, Bakugou? One of your shirts was in my ba-” Kirishima pauses as he walks into Bakugou’s room.

The blonde was taking a nap, but that wasn’t what made Kirishima stop.

In his bed, cuddled up against him, was a giant Red Riot plushie.

And a giant Red Riot blanket covered the both of them.

Kirishima took out his phone, taking a picture of the situation. He forgot his flash was on, though, and the light that blinded him managed to wake Bakugou up.

“Wha- The hell are you doing?”

“I thought hero merch was for kids, Bakugou.” The smug look on Kirishima’s face stayed long after Bakugou finished rubbing his eyes.

“It’s your merch. So it’s different. Shut up. Stop looking so pleased about this.”

“Where did you even get this blanket? I’ve never seen it anywhere.” Kirishima steps closer, rubbing the blanket between his fingers.

“It’s...custom.” Bakugou hides his face underneath the blanket as Kirishima’s face goes blank. He can barely process what he’s heard.

“Not only did you buy my merch, but you got it made specifically for you? Oh, I’m NEVER letting you live this down!” Kirishima cackles, making Bakugou crawl even further under the blanket.

“Let me sleep!”

“You can’t escape, Bakugou!” Kirishima jumps on top of Bakugou, tugging at the blanket until Bakugou couldn’t help but laugh with him.

“Just let me under! Besides, you don’t need to cuddle with that fraud when you have me here!” Kirishima eventually makes his way under the blanket, wrapping his legs around Bakugou. He smiles before kissing Bakugou’s forehead gently, tucking his face into Bakugou’s shoulder.

“I’m warmer, anyway.”
