I am glad that you came across my fic. At the beginning of each chapter, you will find a song that inspired me during the writing process. Each chapter will have its own song - however, this is not a classic songfic - at least for most parts - but serves me purely as inspiration and "mood base" :) The fic has Lemon/smut parts in later chapters.
Despite the dark initial theme, this fic is not intended to be a classic darkfic - the focus is primarily on the development of Seto's and Joey's relationship, accompanied and influenced by past and present experiences of both characters. I'm also a fan of happy endings - so that is a promise I'll give to you, and just like Seto Kaiba, I keep my promises ;)
