Work Text:
Apollo clung to Klavier as they stumbled their way through the door, Klavier’s mouth hot against his lips, his cheek, his neck as he fumbled the door shut behind him. “H-Hey Klavier?”
“Apollo,” Klavier whispered against his neck, and whoops, whatever Apollo had been about to say was gone immediately, replaced with the need to grab Klavier’s hair and pull that mouth back to his own lips.
They moved backwards like that, Klavier’s mouth on his, Klavier almost knocking over Apollo’s shoe rack with his foot, Apollo almost falling over a wayward chair. And every once in a while, a coherent thought would flit through Apollo’s head. Something like I really should’ve cleaned, or Are we still wearing our shoes? or Wait why is Klavier leading, he’s never been in your apartment before, but then Klavier’s mouth would find his again and all thoughts would disappear.
Until Apollo’s foot met something soft. And then suddenly there was a screech.
Both of them screamed, Klavier jerking backward and falling on top of the coffee table as Mikeko attacked Apollo’s foot. Apollo screamed, jumping back, and Mikeko darted off a ways, under the TV stand.
Apollo and Klavier both stood there a second, wide-eyed, looking at each other. And then they burst out laughing.
“I-I see you have a cat,” Klavier giggled.
“Sorry,” Apollo gulped some air, kneeling down to check on the furious creature glaring from the darkness. “Sorry, uh, forgot to warn you. His name’s Mikeko.”
“That is fine.” He was still sitting on the coffee table, hair a bit askew, lopsided grin on his face. “I like your apartment, by the way.”
“Oh, uh. Right. Thanks.” Mikeko seemed no worse for wear, so Apollo straightened back up. “Okay, uh, where were we?”
Klavier raised an eyebrow, standing back up, suddenly moving into Apollo’s space. “Oh? Should we continue where we left off then?” he asked, leaning in close.
Apollo flushed, heart skipping a moment. “...take your shoes off first.”
And Klavier laughed, pressing another kiss to Apollo’s mouth before moving back toward the shoe rack.
