Work Text:
The first flurries of the season had left about five inches of snow blanketed over the campus at night, and snowflakes fell into Mia’s hair and eyelashes, leaving the strands dripping and stiff. She ran a gloved hand through her hair, and shook it out a little, a few drops landing on Lana’s face - if she noticed, she said nothing. Their fingers were entwined - well, as entwined as they could be through mittens and gloves as they walked - the air before them cloudy with respiration.
Lana was right to think it silly to take their daily walk in this weather, but she couldn’t resist the part of their day where the couple got to relax, to collect their thoughts. It was rare that the school called a snow day, and, from the moment she awoke, Lana urged herself to work - Mia wouldn’t have it. She had pulled her old radio out and they had danced around in their pajamas, bouncing on their dorm beds and singing along - she was fairly certain feathers still flew around their room.
Mia led her the way she had then, pulling softly at her tired muscles.
