Cursed.

That was the only word Nene could think of to describe her current situation. In her last fleeting moments, Nene had made a grave mistake. Her last thoughts were a wish, a sweet one sure, but also the cause of her despair. 'I wish I could make Hanako truly happy.'

Now, here she was, with the very reason Hanako had faked his emotions for so long. The very reason he was unable to trust.

"Why am I here?" The annoyance was loud and clear in her voice as she glared at the small guy.

"Because of your wish, Nene-chan!" She had a feeling that it was because of that, but then why wasn't she turning into a horribly dismembered ghost? "Nene, you are now my new assistant~!" He had grinned up at her, his words making her freeze.

"Wait... WHAT!?!?" Her voice echoed in the small space, baffled at the sudden revelation. "Why me? Isn't Sakura your assistant? What are you planning? Where are we? Is this a boundary? Is Ha-" She was interrupted by a small finger on her lips. "Nene-chan, you talk too much. I think you should stay quiet, for your own safety."

The older gulped and stayed quiet, staring at the child with fear in her eyes. For someone so... cute, to be so terrifying, it's unbelievable. "Thanks for listening, Nene-chan~! Anyways..."

"I also want to make Amane happy, so we should work together! Two of his favorite people in one team, it has to work out!" Nene just blinked. Another blink. Now, another. Did this kid really not know what his brother thought of him? It made Nene feel a little guilty, even if this little bastard was responsible for a lot of harm.

'Why not give it a shot?' she thought. 'Clearly, he would do anything for Amane and so would I',or well, she hoped he would.

"Fine, I'll work with you on one condition." Tsukasa grinned but then it quickly faltered. "Eeh? I'm the reason you're still here, Nene-chan..." She ignored him, thinking of how to word this without angering the child.

"I want you to stop trying to mess up the connection between humans and supernaturals." His face had darkened already, and she swore she could see his hand reach for something.

"Don't you have any idea how much it hurts Amane that you're doing this? He worked so hard on making it peaceful and you're ruining it all." Nene pouted for extra effect, hoping she had convinced him.

He thought about it for a moment before grinning up at her. "Okay! Anything for big bro Amane!" That came as a surprise to Nene. She could vividly remember him stating that he loves the expressions of pain, but it seems he loves his brother more. The thought made Nene smile a bit, even if the siblings' friendship was impossible to mend.

"That's the spirit. Now, what are we doing first?"

"Stealing donuts, really?" Nene glared at Tsukasa. Can't they just make donuts on their own? "Yep! That way we can have fun and make Amane happy!" Nene didn't have the heart to say no after seeing his grin. Oh well, they're apparitions anyways what does it matter?

The whole day Tsukasa and Nene went around looking for people who had donuts then 'borrowing' them as soon as the person looked away. By the end of the day, they had about fifteen donuts in total(excluding the three they ate).

Hanako's toilet was empty, thankfully, so the two just wrote a small note and left the donuts there. Though, maybe the note wasn't such a good idea. Oh well!

'Amane's Favorites', as they called themselves, were quietly following him around. He had still not found the donuts unfortunately and Tsukasa was getting impatient.

"Maybe we should cause a problem in the bathroom..." He muttered, before wincing in pain as Nene smacked his head. "No, that would just make Hanako-kun upset!" She pouted at him. "Just be patient! I'm sure he'll see it soon."

And she was right. Though, his reaction wasn't exactly... positive?

His eyebrows had furrowed in confusion as he looked at the small bag of donuts. Face entirely neutral, or well until he saw the note. Hanako's expression instantly darkened at the realization his brother and assistant were interacting with eachother. It made him incredibly anxious.

At his reaction Nene and Tsukasa just left, pretending they were never there.

The very next day, Mitsuba had sarcastically suggested they make a rocket.

And so they did. Just not with the...proper materials.

It had took them a few hours, especially since both were extremely clumsy. Not even Sakura could count how many times they had ruined absolutely everything, and she was observing the whole time.

Though, they managed to finish it and it looked decent enough... for a cardboard rocket. It was about as big as two Mokkes stacked onto eachother, with very thin cardboard legs supporting it. On the side they wrote 'NASSA' as neatly as they could(though it ended up looking pretty messy regardless).

Afterwards, they were so tired they decided to nap on the ground. When they woke up, they were extremely close, legs tied around eachother and hands connected.

Neither of them really cared, in the past few hours they've already managed to become friends. Even if all they've done is cause absolute chaos but what does a little mischief matter?

By the time they got to the abandoned bathroom, it was after school and extremely unlikely Amane would be inside. The two tip-toed inside, quietly placing the rocket down in front of the window when they heard the door behind them slammed closed.

The two flinched, spinning around at the sound. Their eyes widened as they saw Amane standing at the door, raising an eyebrow at them. "Yashiro, what are you doing here with him?"

"We-" "We're trying to make you happy, Amane!" His eyes widened. "What?" It was as if his words made the very world crumble.

"We love you, Amane! Why would we do anything bad?" Amane flinched at his words, staring at him in shock. "W-What?"

"We... We just wanted to do something for you." Nene finally spoke up, biting her lip as she looked down in shame. "We never meant to hurt you."

The revelation shocked Amane even more. So they just wanted to make him happy? He supposed it made sense, Tsukasa was his brother and Nene was... someone special to him.

The bathroom was completely silent for a few moments until the sound of water hitting the ground echoed through the room. Amane's eyes had clenched tightly, tears streaming out of the corners quickly.

God, he really misunderstood his brother. All this time he thought his brother just wanted to hurt him but it was far from that.

Amane wiped his tears away and grinned, tackling the two into a hug much to their shock. Tsukasa and Nene glanced at eachother over Amane's shoulder and smiled, both returning the hug.

They sat there for a while, the pent up anger and guilt going away as if it was never present. Just a happy family left in its wake.
