Chapter Text
"Weather on this planet is going to be the death of me!", the jet yelled as it flew across the Artic. "Trust an organic planet to have the worst weather for flight". Transforming on a ledge the seeker looked down at the snowy plain betheth them. Brushing the snow of their shoulder plating they started making contact with their home. Cybertron.
Cybertron had been rather tense lately. Political opinions clashing and distrust amongst ranks. Absolute chaos was just on the horizon and the seeker did not want to be there to see it! Currently they were looking for a scientist. Skyfire. He had been sent here a while ago with another seeker. Starscream. Only one had returned. Many cybertronians had suspected sabotage after all starscream wasn't exactly on good terms with the council. To add insult to injury Starscream was under investigation for being a decepticon sympathiser. Things were not looking good for him.
The seeker chuckled to themselve though quickly pulled their normal poker face. "This is the head of the trace and rescue team faction" there was a pause. "Is the jet Skyfire within the area?" Only static replied. The seeker had assumed that Skyfire would have crashed here. When Starscream had returned he had supposedly claimed that the last place he saw skyfire was in a cold snowy biome to the north of the planet. Looking at it, it was the perfect place to go missing. The snow was endless and the seeker had fallen in it once after underestimating the depth of it. Never again. It was horrible! Not to mention the magnetic poles were causing slight interference with their com links to cybertron.
"Least they could have done was give me a ship" they groaned. The seeker turned off their public com link. "Or at least a team"...
The council had given him the task of finding the missing jet or at least confirm if he was dead or not. Confirm that if he is dead it was either an accident or murder. If he is alive give any medical assistance needed and bring him back safely. They specifically requested that they wanted them to go alone and haven't even given him some kind of ship. All that they had allowed him to bring was all that could fit in his sub space. It was irritating but it made sense. There were whispers of a future war. Better keep all resources on standby than give them out for missions. Still didn't make sense though that they would put the head of track and trace themselves out. They were still a key strategist and had recently got the news that they were going to be promoted to a soldier in the seeker armada. While they hadn't informed him of what rank. This was a huge step up. Yes it would make sense seeing as they would need a capable soldier to get Skyfire back as they had no access to resources but not the head of the faction.
It made no sense to him after all he had plenty of capable seekers who could get the job done.
The seeker sighed. "Better move on." They looked around slowly. There were no landmarks only snow. Perhaps Starscream was mistranslated and Skyfire got lost in the south of the earth. Perhaps in the surrounding area. The seeker groaned. This was going to take longer than they originally thought. They had scoped out the entirety of this part. No cybertronian signals dead or alive spotted. No response to com links. "A bit irritating I'm not going to lie" the seeker breathed. Hadn't even realised they were holding their breath. The sound of the wind was deathening.
Time to move on to a different area. The seeker checked his subspace. They had plenty of energon to last a steller scale or two if they took it in small amounts. "Plentiful of time." Then again if Skyfire had been injured and lost energon he might burn through the energon. Better find him quickly they thought. "I hope". Who knows when I scope out the rest of this underdeveloped planet i could see some of the organic life the jet thought. Sometimes they're interesting. The seeker squinted at the setting sun.
They raised their survos to the air. "If you're not dead Skyfire you're gonna owe me big time!" The seeker smiled.
Crack…
The next few moments went in slow motion. The ground beneath him fell apart. The cracking notices were covered by the wailing wind. The seeker fell with it crashing into the ledges below. Until they smacked into the icy hell below. "Oof- scrap" the seeker grumbled. Just in time for the pults of snow. The seeker tried to fly away. "My thrusters!" The seeker yelled. "They're jammed!". The seeker managed to stand up. This was bad, this was really bad! The seeker looked around in panic. What were they to do? Finding Skyfire, heck getting back to Cybertron is going to be trouble now.
The seeker drew in a deep breath and released it. "Alright I need to fix my thrusters then I can-" Rumbling shook the ground below. The seeker turned to look behind him. They're optics widened in fear. "No!" Avalanche… Avalanche! The seeker turned to run and run he did. Only to be buried under mountains of icy hell. The seeker cried out only to get a mouthful of snow. If cybertronians could hyperventilate the seeker sure as hell were now. Body heat was lowering dramatically and a mixture of water and snow were getting mixed up in the seams. Until Wham! A large icy block hit the seekers head. Until everything went still. Still and cold.
Optic sensors failing.
"No…"
Internal heater failing.
"Primus please…"
Damages lethal.
"Please!"

Chapter Text
Within the short time that the autobots showed up on earth they had quickly become Celebrities within New Detroit. News was slowly spreading across America and eventually overseas. Who wouldn't talk about giant alien robots that had supposedly been on earth for 50 years! Needles to say the conspiracy theorists are practically jizzing themselves with this information. We can only pray now that they don't come up with something as stupid as what they think is put in vaccines or weather the Earth is flat or not. God knows we don't need more nocence. But for a lab in England this certainly put the last pieces of puzzle together. A puzzle that had boggled their minds for a good few centuries.
"Well now..." The croaky voice of an elderly man chuckled. He had sleek black hair with multiple lines of grey streaked through it. Wrinkles clearly showed his age. He wore a crisp white lab coat with a checkered shirt beneath it. A smile grazed his face as he looked up at the 29 foot tall robot above him. Or at least that was what the poor thing was estimated to be before the damage set in. Nearly the entirety of the lower half of the legs were shredded. The man looked the alien in what he imagined would be the eyes. "It looks like we've found someone who can actually help you bud."
On another side of the globe the autobots had just beaten the decepticon menace Starscream… or at least scared him off until he finds a new opportunity to try his luck once again. Detroit was in awe of these new cybernetic warriors. Riding to fame instantly. Many doubts about the autobots were crushed with vigor. Hopes were high and everyone was happy.
Issac Sumdac was sitting in his office. Filling in paperwork and preparing for a new police drone that was about to be put into production. They will most certainly be upgrades from the last model and will hopefully have less accidents than the last batch. Demand was high and Sumdac was here to provide the masses. All was well. Sari was hanging out with the autobots and crime was at an all time low thanks to the autobots but still… if they ever found out the origins of Sumdac systems the autobots would surely not be pleased. They may even feel betrayed and that was not the intent. They were his friends. Sumdac sighed to himself. He may have to find a way to apologise in advance should the reaction not be taken well.
A flash from his computer caught his eye. "What’s this?" Sumdac asked himself. Caller id came from a university in England. An old friend of his from college. Sumdac accepted the call. "Issac my old friend! How wonderful it is to see and talk to you once again my old friend!" Professor Smith smiled with glee.
"Ryan! I've not spoken to you in years! It is truly great to see you once again."
"Extremely out of the blue isn't it?"
"Yes… might I inquire as to what this is about?"
Professor Ryan Smith's smile lessened slightly.
"Your autobots are they-"
"The autobots are their own beings they are not for sale if that is what you are inquiring"
"No No! Of course not!"
"Oh I'm sorry. Excuse my rudeness many companies had inquired on the price of them. I truly am relieved" Sumdac breathed
"No of course not" Smith chuckled "I was going to ask... if your autobots had been missing a friend…"
Sumdac looked with confusion at the screen. That was all the answer Smith needed. "Hold on a moment, I'm old and not great with cameras." Doesn't Sumdac know it. He looked blankly at the screen until he gasped suddenly. What he saw was shocking. It looked like another cybertronian. They looked similar to the recent menace Starscream though not entirely. Scratch that they were both flyers but that was about it. The cybertronian was shredded and old. Any paint job that it may have had was gunmetal gray or gold from rust. It's optics were dim and were hanging limply from hooks that were keeping them standing.
Before Sumdac could even speak Smith filled him in. "This is subject B9341… Found centuries ago on an expedition to the Artic." Smith paused "they found the poor things wing hanging out of a mountain of snow. For years we had no idea as to how they ended up here. The more religious of us were convinced that it was either a bad omen or a fallen angel"
"How long was it in the Artic for?" Sumdac inquired.
"Longer than your autobots have been on this planet." Smith said with a smile. "From the university's estimate from study. I'd say they've been here since the late cretaceous period. At most 65 million years my buddy here has been rusting"
Sumdac was in pure shock. "Are our governments aware of this bots existence?"
"Only the Allies. After all just imagine what would happen if North Korea got a hold of this bugger." "We've been learning everything from them. All the joys of the early 21st century was based around things we found from B9341. Bluetooth, satnav, GPS, even many of our newest jets." Essentially this bot started the building blocks to the 22nd century.
What were they to do now Sumdac thought? They couldn't not tell the autobots about this. Especially this bot. Unlike the head that he had currently in possession in his office. This one was clearly still somewhat alive. If the faint glow from it's chest cavity was anything to go off. To add onto it the robot was decently tacked. Roughed up with ought a doubt but not an entirely lost cause.
"Would you like me to send him over to Detroit for you?" Smith whispered.
"Really? But-"
"We don't have much more need for B9341. We've learned everything we can from them and all the buggers done in the past 50 years is collect dust in storage"
"Perhaps the autobots could bring him back"
"I hope so. I rant at the thing and I owe him an apology for the things I've made him listen to. After all my marriage isn't exactly peaches and roses"
Sumdac chuckled, "I'd appreciate that thank you old friend". Smith nodded after he had typed something into his computer. "I hope to speak to you soon Issac". Smith ended the call immediately. He had gotten an email from Smith.
'I'll send the robot over ASAP. Expect an overly large delivery within the next week or so. I imagine you'll have much better luck than I do with it. I bet the autobots will be most surprised.'
"Yes indeed the autobots will be", sumdac chuckled.

Chapter Text
The shipment indeed came. Thankfully the bot wasn't in as bad condition as it first looked. With a bit of work the bot indeed did look repairable. It sertainley wasn't as grey as it looked. There was certainly a hint of colour from the previous paint job and if the faint glow from the robots chest cavity was anything to go off B9341 was still somewhat alive. Perhaps they were in some sort of vegetated state or in a coma. It's eyes were open but any light in the eyes was virtually non-existent. Smith had cleaned him and dust was nothing to worry about thankfully. Rust had been removed as well."Well it's time to meet the autobots", Sumdac said with glee. Wait the rust was removed?
Sumdac looked at a note left on the bot. "Something odd happened to the bot as we were preparing it for departure. We moved it past a group of jets. A light jolted from its chest cavity and made some sort of square around one of the jets. After that the machinery shifted. It's a few inches shorter and has had a slight shift in wingspan. Rust fizzled away and some parts fixed themselves. Hope this puts all in place.
Sincerely, someone who doesn't want to lose their job."
Sumdec snickered as he looked at the mess of metal and wires. This is going to be a long day he thought to himself.
"What is it that your father wanted to see us about Sari?", Optimus said.
"If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise", Sari replied with a huge smile on her face. She had dragged the team out as her father had told her too. Well most anyway. Ratchet stayed behind of course. Yeh, they were probably under the assumption the Sari knew what the surprise was. Don't ask why but it's Sari. She has a way with words. In truth Sari didn't even know herself.
It's been a few days since the attack on New Detroit by the decepticon menace Starscream. Needless to say there was a whole new view on the Cybertronian guests. We're they safe? That was the main issue. The autobots had certainly won the affections of the public by repairing the majority of the buildings that the little incident. But still… distrust was bubbling on the horizon. The threat of an intergalactic war was not something anyone on Earth could possibly benefit from. The crossfire would surely wipe out civilisation as we know it.
50 years ago there was a crash. That crash happened to be these biomechanical, transforming beings from outer space. Of course no one had known that when the occurrence happened. The most agreed upon theory was that a bunch of tea agers had messed around or an accident with a boat had been the cause. Of course the police had no leads, the public had forgotten about it within a week and there were no reports of vandalism, injuries or missing persons. Why bother looking into it? Of course the present day had revealed what the depths of Lake Eerie was hiding from the public.
Its shocking no one had made some idiotic attempt to sue for some odd reason. Shocking once again how accepting the public were. They had their favourite and there were some protests. Not on the streets of course. More online in public chat rooms. More so after the attack by Starscream. At first the demographic was typical. The older generation that hated change with a burning passion believing it to be some evil of sort. All in all, ignorable. No one really listened to them. After all, the argument was typical. Nothing original. The same thing people have heard for generations. "Well back in my day…" often followed by nothing original. As for the distrust is that now the younger generations are slowly getting on board with actual arguments.
Shouldn't be anything to worry about. With luck all this should all fizzle over… hopefully…
Sumdac had been fixing the robot for days. The shifting of the parts and sudden lack of rust certainly helped the process. The fight between the autobots and starscream had nearly deterred him from the repairs. It certainly lingered in his mind. Oh he prays it's not a decepticon. After all, rebuilding a decepticon would be unforgivable. By not only the public but the autobots as well.
The bot was laid out. If it weren't for the fact it was a robot and there were metal tongs putting it back together it would look like an autopsy. The workers were now welding the last parts of the mid section on the stomach area and rearranging a few things in the chest cavity. Anything there will click into place with the transformation sequence thankfully. One again thankfully the protoform beneath was mostly intact so it was clear as two how the body was shaped. It might not be totally accurate but it would be close enough to the original look the cybertronian had. One of the workers stayed behind one night to redo the paint job and buff out as many of the scratches as they could.
Needless to say they looked nearly unrecognisable as they did two weeks ago. The autobots were on their way as well. He needed help as two how he would well… wake the bot up. Indeed the bot was very much alive. The vitals showed as much. The body was stable. Brain wave activity was low though. They were fine but mentally they just weren't there. Must be some sort of coma that the jet ended up in. How was the question. How had a multiple story robot ended up this damaged years ago. At the time predicted that this happened there was nothing on Earth that could have possibly done this to B9341 not to mention that they are a living being that could fly. How had they allowed this to happen to them
Beep beep beep beep
Sumdac jumped out of his thoughts to see the warning lights go off. Sumdac looked to the worker beside him in worry. "What has happened?" Across the room he heard a rushed voice "My bad! One of the welding hooks got to close to the spark chamber"
"It's jammed," The woman next to him said as she squinted. When getting too close to the spark chamber it must have caused an unnatural jolt in the spark frequency. "How do we unjam it then?" Sumdac whispered to no one in particular.
The same voice across the room yelled "We have to get it out manually!" As if he read sumdacs mind. One of security typed a code in and the alarms went off.
The workers were controlling the machinery behind the glass room that held the Cybertronian Jet. Sumdac sighed a long deep sigh. "I'll go down with you. You need my key card to open the room" sumdac sighed. Three workers followed after him to get to the door. The woman next to him, the young man who yelled across the room and one of the security guards.
Sumdac reached the door and slid his key card through the key slot. The door opened with a buzz. The four humans stepped through the door greeted by the jet laid out. "So we climb up and unjam it?" The lady said.
"Yup," the young man said, already climbing the shoulder of B9341. Everyone followed suit. Really just put into perspective as to how big they actually were. They are a jet though. They're likely bigger than the autobots. The four of them got to the chest and stood. The welding tool had gotten stuck in a few wires. Thankfully it was turned off. The four of them looked between them. The security guard was the tallest of the four. He sighed and reached down. He untangled the first two as the other two workers kept him steady. Sumdac observed.
Sumdac watched with caution. There was something unsettling about sitting on top of a sentient being while doing surgery. While doing anything at all for that matter. And while he got distracted the security guard slipped. His hand was right over the part that holds the spark in the body. This would be fine if… if the spark chamber didn't start sparking up. If time ever stood still it sure did now. Everyone looked in pure shock. For a moment you could hear a pin drop. Until. Pffffffffffff. Cold gas was spraying from the cracks. "Get him out of the spark chamber! Now!," Sumdac yelled! The security guard was pulled up. He almost lost balance. He made it up before the rest occurred.
The spark chamber shaped shut. The four humans stood still for a moment until they felt movement beneath them.
The room should not be glowing that colour.

In my defence I just finished my GCSE's. I'm so sorry this took so long!

What is going on? Who am I? Where am I? What was I doing? What was I doing? A mission. Was it a mission? That sounds… correct. What was the mission about then? Something to do with a Sky or was it a star? Fire was mentioned wasn't it?
Why was there a bunch tapping noises?
They opened their eyes slowly. The tapping noise was coming from their chest. The jet looked down and just stared. What. In. The. Pit. Are. Those.
The four humans and the jet stared at each other very silently. I mean there were probably no real appropriate words for this situation. In Sumdacs' mind he was thrilled that the bot was finally awake. The security guard was in all honesty just relieved that he wasn't snapped in half by the transformation sequence. Though he didn't really think the next events at all were going to end well. The two workers that had pulled him up were more than ready to run and book it. The door was still open. As long as there were no sudden movements they would be able to run in time and leave. The jet was having very mixed emotions. Bad enough they didn't know where they were or what they were doing here in the first place. Didn't even know their name! But now there were a bunch of unknown specimens, organics standing on them.
Unknown organics. Unknown organics no matter how cute cannot be a good thing surely!
Panicked, the jet attempted to stand up. The organics on their chest managed to jump off in time but they were still in a small compact room. Well, small in comparison to the bloody jet.
"Make a run for the door!", the lady shouted. As if she needed to say anything in the first place. The four of them were already scrambling through the door. The other workers had thankfully gotten to a safe distance before the jet did any damage.
The jet scrambled to stand up. The glass was in the way of course; it only allowed the jet to do a really low crouch. The wings scraped the ground and the walls as they moved as well. The jet tried to get as far as they could from the organics. There was no telling what they could do! To be honest not even they understood why they were so afraid of the organics. They were so small and squishy. Realistically what could the organics do to harm them. On the other servo the alarms in their head and the feeling of dread in their gut said otherwise. And guess what trumped over all. Panicked flailing or calm thought as to how to get out safely?
Panic.
Why am I in such a small enclosed area? There are so many organics! Danger! I'm in danger aren't I?
In pure panic the seeker shattered the glass above their head. Free? Nope, they still have a building to get through. They managed to stand up and their wings certainly had more freedom to move around. What was left of the glass box was scattered around their lower thighs. The machines that had fixed the seeker were caught beneath the shattered glass and destroyed. The glass was a good ten inches thick. The weight had pretty much crushed the machinery like foil.
Sumdac and the workers got through the door before the pile of rubble, glass and metal had crushed them and blocked off the door. To get to the area in which the robot was trying to escape they would need to go up the staircase. They paused a moment. Was it even safe up there? They had gotten away from the main issue but as evident from the distant screaming of his employee's that probably wasn't the best option. Crashing could also be heard from the staircase. Very loud, heavy sounding crashing. What were they to do against ten thousand, if not more, tons of metal? Sentient metal at that. Likely armed metal.
The security guard was the first to move. He flew up the stairs to look at the chaos. From the looks of it no one had gotten injured from the falling building parts. The screaming and yelling was due to panic and shock. The robot was still moving around. It's wings scraped the ceiling causing small parts to fall off and smash to the floor. What was the right method to go through with this? Find some way to turn it off, many calm it down. The security guard tried to think rationally about this. If I were to wake up to a bunch of small creatures on my chest in an unknown place I too probably wouldn't have the best reaction, he thought to himself. How in the hell do I calm down a robot?
The seeker was not enjoying this. That was clear but that would be the nice way of putting it. They were absolutely terrified! Again how had they ended up here? At first there were only two organics. They could easily get away from them with no issue but standing up. There were more! So many more at that! They were all yelling and shouting. Sometimes they made other noises. They were obviously communicating. It was likely in their own language though. The jet tried to move around though the platform was encasing. Something, a small voice in their head told them 'shoot'. Do I even have something to shoot with, they thought? Not to mention I do not wish to harm these creatures. Yes their small, squishy, possibly filled with some sort of disease but they were still relatively defenceless.
Are they… afraid of me? Is that why they're yelling? I need to stop moving, it's dangerous, I could hurt them!
The security guard watched them move a lot but it currently looks like they're slowing down. The jet had a battle mask on its face so it was hard to tell what emotion they were currently feeling. The only thing he had to go off was body language. He looked at the seeker from the back down the staircase. The two workers and Sumdac had their heads covered in case anything fell. They looked up at him in worry and fear. He signaled down to them. It's safe. He slowly walked over to the jet as the others behind him sauntered up the stairs. He stopped and looked back at them.
"Right my plan is to get it's attention and try to calm it the fuck down", the security guard whispered aggressively.
The workers looked at him as if he was insane!
"What in the hell makes you think that is a good idea?", the lady said bluntly
"Normally I would disagree with the stick in the mud here", the loud male worker said as he looked at the jet ,"but it's still moments away from making this entire building fall onto us!".
"Disagree with me!"
"Oh hush up you crazy witch"
"Witch!"
It's about to become a screaming match here. Sumdac shook his head.
"Do what you need to do to de-escalate the situation."
The security guard nodded and was slowly making his way to the cybertronian. Until someone apparently thought they could make the situation even more interesting. At this point the jet was breathing and had stopped flailing around. Did cybertronians breathe? Question for another day. Oh but what had someone done to make this situation even better?
The next few moments happened in slow motion. Security is tight around here. It has to be. When working with high tech robots and machinery security is needed to A-protect workers, B-Make sure no one is selling information to rivaling companies and of course C-Follow emergency protocols. Well. Security apparently decided to follow up with the worst protocol they could possibly go with in this situation. Whoever decided to go through with needs to get fired as soon as possible.
Ten groups of five jumped out of seemingly nowhere and started opening fire at the jet. One person from each group, they were using stun rays. Two people from each group started shooting at the jet with high tech blasters that were completely unavailable to the public. The other two in the groups were using freeze waves with the intent of freezing the behemoth of a robot back into stasis. Absolutely stupid! What did they intend to gain from this? Are they even aware that this is only going to escalate the situation! The security guard was frozen for a moment. What was the appropriate way to stop this situation.
Behind him he could hear professor Sumdac yelling at the guards to stop fire. And the other two ducking for cover.
"Stop!", the security guard yelled to no avail. He ran over to whom he assumed was the captain. But only got pulled away buly someone firing at the jet. He had now realised that they were also wearing high levels of armour. This would likely stop them getting injured in a blast and allow them to survive being buried under rubble for a long while.
This could not possibly get any worse! The jet raised an arm to cover their face from the bullets and ice. They also started contorting their body to get away. They had calmed down, what were they supposed to do? The seeker took a step back only for their wings to hit the wall behind them. Scrap. There isn't enough room in here to do anything. If they stayed still too long the bullets could hit somewhere vital, the ice would freeze up their joints and the stun rays were not a good thing to deal with.
The jet looked down at the organics. How could they escape without hurting them? The jet looked up and then quickly darted their eyes around the room. Then the jet had a eureka moment. What if I just fly through the walls? There's just enough room to transform and destroying the walls won't hurt as many of these fleshy things. Only one wall as well. There were windows in there and the seeker saw what looked to them like a sky. They looked down at the organics once again. It's worth a shot, they thought.
The seeker jumped slightly. All body parts snapped in place for the transformation sequence. Security below watched in horror. Security ducked and dashed to the corners of the room like rats. Sumdac looked from the corner in pure amazement.
The boosters fired up and within a second. Plaster, metal and glass all fell apart with horrendous crashes and ear piercing noise as the jet blasted through the wall.

Did a bit of a long one because the next one is going to be really short.
Chapter Text
Detroit Was busy. Afternoon rush hour was hell to get through. People leaving work, kids leaving school, shopping. Absolute chaos. so the autobots and Sari were a little late. Weather that was a good or a bad thing was debatable. If they were on time perhaps they could have helped the humans. Being late allowed the seeker to be in a more open area where less harm could befall the humans. Now that they were late they were greeted by a panicked radio man. They were only two and a half miles away from Sumdac tower.
"We interrupt your normally scheduled program to inform you that the decepticon menace that destroyed New Detroit has been spotted outside Sumdac Tower"
"You're kidding!", Bumblebee yelled "We just fixed Detroit after Starscream's first attack and you mean to tell me that the son of a glitch is back!"
"Bumblebee be quiet." Prowl said bored
"The decepticon has blown a whole on the thirteenth story of Sumdac tower", the radio man continued, "witnesses claim that the decepticon in fact emerged from the building."
"As of now there are no reports of injuries nor casualties"
"We do not at this time know why this decepticon is attacking again or what they intend to do but local authorities advise that locals stay away from the area"
"Updates will continue as more information is provided"
"That's not good", Bulkhead said blatantly
"No it isn't", optimus said "We need to stop Starscream before he causes serious damage."
The autobots sirens went off and the vehicles parted ways to let them through. The autobots weaved through the lines of cars driving ahead the traffic. Soon police and general authorities followed the autobots to their destination. Many cars who were originally heading that direction were switching lanes and driving the opposite direction. Some people's morbid curiosity caused them to want to see the inevitable action up close and continued driving up the road. As the autobots passed many people who were not on the road crowded outside windows and shops to watch the action.
There was no telling what was in store for Detroit this time or how much more the city itself could take.
***
On a good note I escaped the attack in that building. On a bad note why are there so many more organics?
The seeker was still in the air but had transformed back into their root made using their thrusters to keep them afloat. They were surrounded. So many organics were crowded around. When they first emerged there were a lot but many of them had run screaming and yelling in different directions. "Who knew that such small creatures could make so much noise", the seeker whispered while covering for their audio sensors. They very soon regretted crashing a whole into the structure as the seeker examined that they were not only running from him but the debrea.
New noise started filling the area. As well as blue and red flashing. There were a bunch of… Life? The organics spilled out of them in groups of two, three and four. They looked to be like the seeker. Though they didn't seem alive. Perhaps I could try communicating with the organics, the seeker thought to themself. Though they didn't seem all that willing to negotiate. They started barricading some of the organics behind small structures. Seems rather redundant, the seeker thought, they are very clearly capable of just jumping over. They were holding small handheld devices and pointing them at the seeker.
"Those look like data pads", the seeker muttered. Perhaps if I got hold of one I might find a way to communicate with them and try to tell them I'm not a threat. Possibly ask for directions as well.
The seeker turned their attention to something else that they were pointing at the seeker. The organics that weren't behind the barricade that is. They looked like blasters. Underdeveloped blasters but blasters nonetheless.
The seeker raised their hands by their head. This seems to confuse the organics as they started looking at each other and whispering. The seeker couldn't hear due to the combined noises of winds, sirens and the voices of the organics below. There were more organics with blasters behind him weren't there? The seeker looked over their shoulder slowly. Yes, yes there were. Scrap. Yes they were also holding blasters.
A cracking drew their attention. A part of the wall was cracking and falling off.
The wall fell. It was about to hit an organic. No two organics. One looked big? The seeker didn't think big was the right word for it but it was holding an even smaller organic. This certainly seems odd to the seeker. Like an organic minibot of some sort. The seeker didn't have any time to think though. That boulder would likely crush them. The organics would go… squish. If there was time the seeker would have shuddered.
I need to save them.
The bigger organic was the smaller one's older sister. They both had the same brown curly hair, the same green eyes, the same olive skin. The only difference was that her younger brother had freckles and the older sister had dimples. They had been ordered by their mum to go out and get along. It had been a normal day. Everything was normal. But it was going to end like this.
The older sister grabbed her younger brother and shielded him with her body; only the hit never came. There was a gust of wind and dust behind her but that was all. Everything was silent. Was she dead. No. As far as she was concerned there were no sirens in the afterlife.
"Look…", her brother whispered in a small shaky voice. He raised his pointed finger up behind her.
Shaking, the young girl looked behind her slowly. The robot. It was still in the air. The grass below singed and dried up underneath the burning thrusters. The heat could be felt on her face. The robot caught the boulder. It looked like a small beach ball in comparison to the behemoth of a bot. She felt tears running down her face. Whether she was relieved or in shock was up for debate. In all honesty it was probably both.
***
The seeker moved the boulder upwards. It was only thirty centimetres away from the organics. No one was moving or even talking. It was quieter. Quiet was good surely? The seeker moved the boulder so they were still holding it but the weight was resting on their right shoulder. Looking down on the organic the bigger one had a look of wonder on its face though it appeared it was leaking through its optics. That can't be good. The smaller one was staring up at the seeker in shock.
The seeker will worry about this when they have the time. Still holding the boulder the seeker looked up into the sky. The organics have satellites. The seeker connected itself to it. Connected to the world wide Web they figured out what language the organics were speaking. American English. Time for negotiation.
At that moment the autobots arrived on the scene with more law enforcement and Captain Fanzone. Negotiation with Starscream was on the table. They struck on pure luck the last time they battled him but… this wasn't starscream though it was a seeker. This seeker looked ready to chuck a boulder at two kids. Negotiation was officially of the table.
The seeker turned their head towards the autobots. They hadn't even waited for optimus' order to attack. They weren't allowing this to happen. If the seeker was startled before they were panicking now. They knew they were outnumbered, they saw them as a threat, they were going to attack.
"Scrap."

Battle between reader and autobots will be the next chapter.
Chapter 6: Decepticon? What's that?
Summary:
Bless the poor seeker.
Chapter Text
What was one to do in this situation? Run? Fight? De-escalate the situation? Would they even listen?
Previously all the Seeker had to worry about were small cramped spaces and little organics with underdeveloped blasters. Not these lot. They were like him. Made of the same metal alloys, they were sentient. The word Cybertronian came to mind. It was certainly odd. What was it? A planet, a race, something else? That's not important right now. The seeker had much dyer needs to attend to.
Though all of them looked ready to attack. The small yellow ones servos turned to blasters. For some reason the seeker recognised the make. They shot bolts of electricity. Those were not underdeveloped blasters. Him the seeker would need to avoid. The blast range isn't something to underestimate. The bigger red and blue one pulled out an axe as he got into battle position. Likely the leader of the group. The seeker needed to make sure that the axe didn't go anywhere near him. Disarm him. There was a smaller one (though taller than the yellow one) with gold highlights. Looking at the frame he relies on speed rather than brute force. Fight if need be but don't let him out of your sight there's something off about him. The big green one was going to be a problem. Big and bulky, he's not light on his feet. Dodge but if need be use his own weight against him if in a tight spot.
Plan was to fly away. If for some reason the jet couldn't fly or run doge and hide. If they couldn't do this, hold their ground. Looking at them they couldn't fly. They didn't have the right frames for it plus they looked more like these organic made machines. They would have known if someone was in the air with them. Like the helicopters that were currently recording them. The seeker was still connected to the world wide Web. There were many broadcasts. At the moment it seemed like they were the center of attention. They were calling them "Starscream".
Star...Starscream! The mission!
"Decepticon!"
The seeker looked over at the team leader. Rather young sounding for a warrior class team. They are warrior class aren't they? Otherwise technically they had no right to be pointing weapons at them… where did that come from?
"Drop the boulder, land and put your servos up"
What in the pit is a decepticon? I really should drop the boulder shouldn't I. The organics backed away a safe distance though they were still looking up at them in fear and shock. They probably look up at everything in all honesty. Adorable honestly.
"We do not wish to cause harm or damage to the humans and surrounding area"
The seeker straightened themselves. Still hovering above the ground, still holding a boulder. The seeker understood the situation that they were in. From their position it must have looked like the seeker was about to squish the organics. Though the seeker had many burning questions themselves.
"What's a decepticon?"
The four cybertronians looked shocked. They looked between each other, still ready for a fight. Before anyone could put a word in the yellow one shot the blasters. Nope. The bolt was aimed at the face. The seeker lifted part of the wall to cover its face and upper body. The bolt hit the concrete and metal wall. The force of it caused the seeker to land on the ground which prompted the thrusters to lessen but not turn off completely. There was a flash of light. The boulder shielded the seekers' optics from the blinding light.
Not warrior class blasters but those were strong, well practiced, well used blasters. Not a scratch on the seeker. The boulder on the other hand had a different story to tell. The center had pretty much disinterested and the corners were burnt with cracks. They crumbled in the seekers' servos. The seeker shuddered. Yeh they had the right idea to not underestimate those things. Slagging pit the little scrap is going to be a pain in his aft.
"Bumblebee what was that!" The one with the gold highlights yelled at the minibot.
"They're playing dumb!", 'Bumblebee' yelled back, "Getting us to lower our guard so they can attack us!"
"Even so we need to take them in", the leader said sternly.
Suddenly negotiation seemed out of reach. Especially since the distrust was evident in these lot. The blowing a hole was an accident. Kind of. The seeker was getting shot at! What was a decepticon? Should they know what a decepticon is? They called them a decepticon after all. Pit. This is not a good situation. A small argument broke out amongst the three. The green one just seemed to be watching, not adding anything to the argument. Such unprofessional behaviour. They were differently not warrior class.
The seeker looked around. The organics, even the two that were almost crushed, were a safe distance away. Looking up the seeker saw the lingering helicopters. There was still enough room for the seeker to fly through. Though they may experience aftershocks of the take off. The seeker looked back at the robots. The bickering sounded like it was coming to an end. That blast coming from such a small minion wasn't sitting right. They may not be warrior class but if such a loudmouth was as strong as that. The other ones were likely just as strong. The seeker knew realistically they could take them on. Size alone was an advantage and the seeker just knew for some reason it would not be all that difficult to make them meet their maker.
The seeker sighed and shook their head. This was taking too long. The seeker looked back at the arguing trio. Far too long. The seeker pinched their forehead still shaking their head. There was no point in fighting them. Fighting should be a last ditch effort in all circumstances.
The seeker took two steps back, getting the attention of the green one.
"Umm guys…"
The arguing was still continuing.
"Guys!"
The seeker turned up their thrusters allowing them to hover a few metres off the ground.
"Guys this is an emergency!"
"What?", Bumblebee yelled
Optumus turned his attention back to the seeker just in time to see the end of the transformation sequence the other two following suit.
The autobots covered their faces as the jet took off protecting their optics from the dust . Optimus could not allow a decepticon to roam free around Detroit. Thinking fast, Optimus shot the cable in the direction of the jet. It had caught and tightened around one of the back wings of the jet causing it to go of course. Optimus had hold of the seeker for about a second before he was flung in the air with the seeker. Though he didn't get all that far in the air. Optimus looked down. Bulkhead had managed to grab him by the joins area in his lower leg. Bulkhead had hold of a lamp post; it was bending by the second.
"Everyone grab hold of Bulkhead!
Everyone did as ordered. Using each other as support and to make sure Optimus didn't go flying. Optimus looked back up to see the seeker had once again transformers. Now in root mode the con was looking down at them. Likely in frustration. When they transformed back into root mode they had tangled themselves in the cable. Makeshift trap until the con untangled themselve.
"Once you get me down get the decepticon down"
Bit by bit they got the young prime back on his stabilisers. Now the effort was on dragging the seeker down and taking them in. They were still tangled but now they were getting themselves loose.
Their arms got free and quickly got the end of the wire away from the wings. Now just the waist and legs. The autobots weren't going to get the jet down before they got themselves free.
"Bumblebee!"Optimus yelled, looking down in front of him. As if Bumblebee read his mind he aimed his blaster at the jet.
"Don't shoot the wire!", Optimus yelled "if you shoot the wire the wire will conduct the blast and we're on the receiving end. It will also likely detach and let the seeker free!"
"Trust me BossBot I got this!" Bumblebee replied.
Bumblebee aimed the blaster at the airborne decepticon and fired.
***
Truly never underestimate those blasters. The shock of the blast caused the decepticon to crash below. Thankfully there weren't as many organics.
"Damnit"
The seeker had fallen on their back. Thankfully they had flattened the wings so they didn't get the full impact of the fall. Though they definitely had damage on their back. Not a good thing during a chase. Working through the pain the seeker stood up attempting to keep its balance.
The first one to get to the scene was the one with the Golden highlights. During the argument the seeker heard the name Prowl bring thrown at the slim bot. Safe to assume that's his name. Something was off. Optimum speed on those vehicles even being generous by adding the cybertronian factor though keeping in mind the busyness of the crowds it should take at least six minutes more to reach them. Unless they went… the direction behind him.
Turning on their heels the seeker looked behind them as Prowl threw the weapons at them. The seeker ducked to the left.
"Listen I really can't be arsed with this!"
Prowl stopped and looked at the jet as they raised their servos above their head.
"Listen! I don't know what a decepticon is, I don't know where I am, who is Starscream, who are you lot, what are these organisms?"
The seeker took a breath. Prowl was about to give a word in before the seeker interrupted.
"Listen please! I do not want to hurt any of you, I'm not a threat nor do I wish to be a threat but I will attack if I have to"
Just as the seeker finished the rant the other autobots rolled up behind him.
"Come quietly", Optimus ordered.
The seeker turned and took a step back as Prowl jumped in front of the seeker.
"Wait, don't attack!" Prowl yelled, stopping the autobots in their tracks, "I don't believe he is lying when he says he doesn't know what a decepticon is!"
The autobots paused to stop and look at prowl and the seeker behind him. The look of disbelief on their faces was eminent and clear as day.
"This isn't the time for jokes Prowl", Bumblebee said
The minibot was about to continue on but as he and the other autobots looked at Prowl's face they saw he really wasn't kidding.
A gust of wind filled the silent air only adding to the tension. The other three autobots still looked ready for an attack and the seeker had slightly lowered their arms but not entirely. The autobots lowered their weapons slightly. They looked amongst themselves then looked at the cybertronian behind Prowl.
"What?"
Chapter Text
Silence was thick in the air. Suffocating. The weapons were still pointed in the seekers direction though of guard. How the pit Prowl believed the seeker was beyond them. The autobots still looked very much unsure. Thinking about it, it was funny that such a small bot could stop a group of autobots from attacking such a big bot. It was so tense. The humans were still around Sumdac tower being held back by the police attempting to give space for the inevitable battle between "Starscream '' and the autobots. At some point the autobots had put Sari in that crowd to keep the girl out of harm's way.
"So the decepticon… isn't a decepticon?," Bumblebee questioned slowly.
"I don't believe they are. Though I'm not saying trust them entirely," Prowl replied.
"Gee thanks", the seeker commented sarcastically.
The autobots were conflicted. There is no such thing as a flying autobot so they must be a decepticon but the seeker didn't exactly give of decepticon vibes. They didn't have the symbol of either faction though they were definitely cybertronian. They still had their hands by their head while being a safe distance away from the autobots. They trusted prowl. He was definitely the wisest on the team other than Ratchet of course but they couldn't act on his word alone. Sumdac tower still had a hole blown through it. Not to mention the distress of the public was likely to stire something against the seeker. Cybertronians in general at that.
In this situation the seeker didn't seem like much of a threat but what if they were a decepticon spy. Someone hot accused of that a whole back. It wouldn't be to much of a stretch to think that they would try again after all it was the perfect opportunity for such a thing to occur. A group of autobots stranded with no contact to Cybertron with no way of knowing who this seeker was. It would be the perfect opportunity for a breech. What if they were innocent though? What if they weren't a decepticon and were being honest?
Optimus ponderd these thoughts. If he makes one bad move he could jeopardise the autobots across the galaxy and Cybertron.
"Are you being honest?"
The seeker looked at him. There was a brief pause before the seeker spoke.
"You want the long answer of the short answer?", the seeker chuckled nervously.
"Yes or no"
"Yes I'm being honest," the seeker responded before they continued, "Mind telling me what a decepticon is?"
Optimus blinked before answering,"I need to ask a few more questions."
The seeker nodded before lowering there arms and crossing them. Immediately some of the tension of the situation bled away with the autobots getting rid of their weapons. Prowl walked back to the group standing beside Bumblebee.
"How did you find this planet?"
"I don't know."
"Why did you blow a hole in Sumdac tower?"
"I woke up their, panicked and then I was being attacked."
Well now this was a whole new situation. If the seeker was being honest and had woken up in Sumdac tower a new question arose. How did they get their? The report claimed that they emerged from the tower so it wasn't hard to believe they were jn that tower. If they did in fact panic a panicing flailing machine would have security attempting to sedate it. They would have to ask Sumdac about that though.
It was getting late. The autobots needed a solution to this fast.
"Bee tell ratchet we will be returning with a seeker", before anyone could protest Optimus continued, "We can't do much else and we're not letting them out of our site."
"On it boss bot," Bumblebee sighed before walking away to contact Ratchet.
"Can I ask some questions now?", the seeker said bluntly, "I have many."
"You're really going to trust them?" Bulkhead said.
"Autobots help others Bulkhead" Optimus replied.
Peace was made finaly. The seeker knew though that the autobots didn't fully trust them. Bulkhead made that clear. What were they to do to convince them that they weren't a threat?
"Oh by the way"
The seeker was dragged out of their thoughts realising that they were turning ready to leave expecting them to follow.
"What's your designation?"
The seeker opened their intake to reply only to pause in shock. A wave of dread spread through the seekers frame.
What-what is my designation?
The autobots stopped waiting for an answer . They turned their heads back seeing the sight behind them. The seeker was looking at the ground while it's left servo grabbed their helm. The seeker looked back up at them before replying quietly.
"I-I don't know"
The autobots didn't seem to bothered by this in contrast to the seeker who was likely panicking.
"We can get you checked out by our medic when we are back at base", Optimus said, attempting to calm the clearly panicking seeker. The seeker didn't even know why this was bothering them so much. It's an easy thing to sort but dread had a strong hold over the jet. Plus the seeker didn't exactly like being examined. Something about someone poking at you while you are at your most vulnerable was just off putting. What other choice did they have though?
"I assume we're walking?"
The autobots looked confused.
"My jet mode would cause me to crash even if I went at your alt modes best speed", the seeker explained, "I'd be going to slow and I don't know where I'm going"
"Dang It", Bumblebee yelled, puffing his cheeks out.
The seeker snorted. 'Like a new spark', they thought.
"You go on ahead Bumblebee", Optimus said, "We'll find a way to avoid the general public. Probably wouldn't be a good thing to drag them around crowded areas."
"I'll also go grab Sari"
The minibot didn't waste any time before speeding off into the distance leaving his team with the seeker. Optimus sighed. This was certainly going to be a long night. He looked back to the seeker who was already staring at him.
"Lead the way boss bot"
Notes:
Haha badly written and short. Christ GCSE's were a pain. I done now and going yo get back on track.
Chapter Text
"So you mean to tell me that you have been in Stasis for millions of stellar cycles?"
"Yes."
"And you have no idea what a decepticon is?"
"Yes."
"To add on to this you don't know your own designation"
"Exactly."
Ratchet glared at the seeker before him. Despite the fact they had their servos raised in surrender it certainly did not help sooth anyone's worries of an attack. Heck not only had they surrendered willingly but they currently had everyone's weapons pointed towards them. They had just been attacked by starscream and now another seeker arrives out of the blue. Yes it is obviously not Starscream as the humans had said. The seeker before him not only looked different but their entire mannerism was different. Oddly polite. Well, politer.
"And you expect not only me but everyone here to believe this because…?"
The seeker made an exasperated noise.
"I'm telling you I'm clueless!", the seeker desperately pleaded, "I don't know how I got to this primus forsaken planet nor do I know why I'm being detained by you lot!"
The autobots looked at each other wordlessly asking each other what they thought of this. The doubt on their faces said it all really. None of them were really on board. Except Prowl. He seemed a lot more trusting of the seeker than the others though not entirely.
He had come willingly. Bumblebee had warned Ratchet in advance that there was a seeker taken prisoner. The autobots had led the seeker to base away from the public though this did not deter many from seeking them out and seeing the supposed 'decepticon' for themselves. They certainly didn't escape from news channels wanting to report on 'Starscream's' second attack. They certainly had a bit to say about the autobots. Though only idiots rely on fox news for a proper report on the situation. The main critique was on not finishing 'Starscream' beforehand and allowing him to make a second attack.
Next time any of them were stuck in public they were bound to be questioned by the humans on a mass scale. Some of their patience would wear thin with the humans constantly pestering them.
"By the way I know none of you are elite guard", the seeker stated unamused, "So I'm going to ask nicely… what gives you the right to detain me?"
The seeker had not meant this at all in a rude way though repeating what they said in their helm sounded quite cocky. Not a good idea to act cocky while having weapons pointed at you. During an interrogation no less.
The autobots paused. Many things on each of their minds though Bumblebee was the first to speak up.
"Wait if we do take them in, where would we even keep them?"
A great point.
"I mean we can't keep them here! We have no cells. We can't lock them up in the ship! It's at the bottom of Lake Eerie!"
Optimus sighed. This was not a good situation. If this seeker was telling the truth that made things a lot easier. Though this also meant that they weren't necessarily an autobot either. They could still choose the path of evil and if by that point they trusted them too much and gave them important information they could hand over to the decepticons. At the same time though a seeker joining the autobots would be likely to give them the advantage. A natural fligher would be of great help.
Optimus pondered his options. Take in the seeker or hear them out. Hear them out. It would be unfair especially if they were telling the truth but what to do if they were telling the truth.
"Autobots stay here with the seeker. I need to speak to Ratchet alone for a moment."
The autobots nodded or stated their affirmations. They had a clear view of the seekers face. They looked young. Not young like Bumblebee and Bulkhead but they weren't aged like Ratchet or prowl.
The seeker sighed in acknowledgement and muttered something under his breath.
...
Ratchet followed Optimus into a room of the main area and locked the door. "What do you think of this situation?"
Ratchet paused for a moment. "In my years I've learned not to trust a 'con though there is a small part of me that believes what they are saying."
"Such as?"
"Well he looks young. This may seem inconvenient but as far as I'm concerned the 'cons don't have the means to make new 'cons unless they're using cloning of some sort."
Optimus pondered this for a minute. "Though they could just be lucky in looks"
"Doubt it… though forgetting their designation seems awfully convenient."
Optimus hummed in acknowledgment.
"If the seeker forgot something such as their designation they likely have damage in their head. If I could find that, that would certainly support their argument".
The seeker was oddly convincing. They seemed genuine in their statements. There seemed to be no lie behind those optics.
"Then what do we do if they are telling the truth?"Optimus asked, "If they don't know what a decepticon is, they clearly don't have a clue of the atrocities they have committed against Cybertron. We are now aware that they were not deleted. They could easily be manipulated into joining without fully understanding what they are doing."
"Not to mention I don't think they would take too lightly to finding out that their former friends are now either one with the allspark or are now likely war criminals", Ratchet added.
"What do you suggest we do?"
Silence was thick in the room. It certainly wasn't impossible though this still leads to some questions being unanswered. Why were they in Sumdac Tower? What were they doing on Earth in the first place? Why were they in near pristine condition? If this was an act they were certainly good at it.
"We ask some questions", Ratchet finally said, "Questions that can narrow down their identity."
…
In the other room tension wrapped around suffocatingly. No one had said a word since the medic and the leader left.
"So… How's your day been?" The seeker asked.
"Who you askin' 'con!", Bulkhead yelled defensively.
"Primus give me strength", the seeker muttered as they shook their helm, "I'm just trying to be polite."
"I don't believe they mean it to be hostile Bulkhead", prowl said, still ready to strike at any minute.
"They still turned up mear days after Starscream's attack", Bumblebee butted in, "Suspicious"
The seeker was getting irritated but the name. Starscream. They were here because of something to do with starscream. What was it though? A mission perhaps.
The bots had been bickering between themselves just a petty argument really. Definitely not elite guard members.
"May I ask a question?", the seeker butted in.
The bots had stopped bickering between themselves and their attention turned back onto the seeker. Just as Prowl was about to reply, Optimus and Ratchet walked back into the room.
Attention went back onto the two bots. Everyone was silent waiting for their leader to speak.
"Yes you are correct that we are not elite guard members, in fact we are repair bots" Optimus said, "we repair space bridges..."
The seeker lowered their arms lower down to their sides.
"Go on...", the seeker followed up with a questioning look.
Optimus signaled for the autobots to lower their weapons entirely. Ratchet gave them a glare, before anyone could protest.
"Tell me what is the last thing that you remember?"
Tension immediately bled away from the room. Finally a sigh of relief that didn't feel suffocating could be reliced. The seeker thought for a moment. What was the last thing that they clearly remembered? The mission. The mission involving starscream.
"I was sent on a mission. I can't be sure what mission though my gut tells me it was a rescue mission."
Optimus nodded, encouraging the jet to continue.
Actually this helped. They were a soldier for rescue and retrieval for the seeker armada. What rank though.
"I was a soldier in the seeker armada. This faction would retrieve and rescue cybertronians from dangerous situations both on and off Cybertron."
"That would explain why you are on Earth I suppose.", Ratchet said, "Before the war there was a faction of seekers who specialised in that-"
"What war!", the seeker yelled, panicked.
Silence once again filled the air. The genuine look of horror and shock filled their optics.
This was definitely not an act.
Notes:
Sorry I've been gone for a while.
Chapter Text
Cybertron was most definitely a state when the seeker left to search for… someone. Something to do with the seeker Starscream. A war though. Yes without a doubt there were tensions between seekers and war frames and the upper class. How did it lead to a war? It wasn't that bad was it?
A war? The seeker's head was racing. If there was a war, seekers and war frames would likely align. Seekers were partially upper class but there was definitely some sort of prejudice against them. And from the brief memories that the seeker could recall on the spot is that the Seekers definitely did support the lower class feeling aside they were also being pushed down into spaces and getting considered less than. In comparison to the other Cybertronians. If there was a war it wouldn't be hard to assume that flight frames and war frames made one side of the war. It would explain why the seeker was getting chased down…
Scrap...
The seeker put a hand up to their head with a look of shock plastered on their face. The autobots looked on with concern moulded onto their faces. The seeker inhaled and exhaled, trying to calm themselves. If there was a war there was death. There was death on each side. Their friends. What side of the war were they on? Never mind that are they even still alive? If they are, do they remember the seeker? Has anyone come looking for them?
"How long have I been out?", the seeker muttered in an exhale.
The autobots looked between themselves. Silence was once again thick in the air.
"I mean the war ended just over 4 million stellar cycles ago", Bumblebee said.
The seeker looked down at him, the look of shock even more evident. How? I've been out for over 4 million stellar cycles? No way. That can't be? How had they been out for that long?
The seeker lowered their servo from their head and looked back at Optimus Prime and his medic. The seeker hoped it was a joke. Even if they didn't get the punch line they would be more than willing to laugh it off but considering the circumstances. It seemed… plausible. The seeker could recall their own name, had no real memories other than a few flashes, they've woken up on a weird planet with weird organics and getting chased down for seemingly no reason.
It most definitely seemed logical.
Cybertronians can seemingly live forever with enough care. So long as you stay away from hard labour in your older years and have access to a good medic it's possible. Within a cybertronian life 4 million stellar cycles isn't much until something like a war happens. You can still miss out on a lot of much needed information. Like a war.
"I only have a few flashes of my life on Cybertron", the seeker started getting the autobots' attention, "But I can assume that my fellow flight frames are your enemy."
"Yes. War frames and flight frames joined forces during the Great War opposing the council.", Optimus stated, "they call themselves decepticons."
The shock had passed now the seeker just looked sad.
"And we are autobots, we stand against the decepticons and defend Cybertron", Bulkhead inserted.
The seeker hummed to themselves and tried to think. If they were still this defensive this means that even though the war had ended "Decepticons" are still a threat.
"Where do you stand in this?", Optimus followed up with.
The seeker focused on him again and paused for a moment before replying.
"I'm not picking a side if that's what you mean."
Before the autobots could retort with a speech about some sort of justice for Cybertron or give a hero speech the seeker continued.
"Understand my point of view on this. I have just woken up on a strange organic planet, I have missed out on a war and the aftermath, I assume you lot are the Victor's but this is just the thing, I won't make a decision as the war us only told by the Victor's, for all I know this is all a lie, I will choose a side but not now, I want to make my own decision from my own observation", the seeker started, "For now I am middle ground, I will choose my own side but believe me when I say I am no threat."
"But the decepticons are pure evil", Bulkhead interjected.
"My friends are likely decepticons", the seeker replied.
This very quickly stopped the autobots from intervening with the seekers decision.
"Again please understand my point of view, I'm lacking much needed knowledge, I don't even know my own designation, I'm 8n no state to confidently say I can trust you or your cause."
The autobots looked conflicted. The seeker did have a point but if they decided to join the Decepticons at any given moment they now know their base. The autobots would be screwed.
"What if you join the Decepticons though?
The seeker looked at the autobot group leader.
"You now know the location of our base if you join the Decepticons and our position is compromised."
The seeker stood tall and laughed sarcastically.
"I'm no snitch. If I do, I'll let them figure it out for themselves." The seeker kicked a bit of scrap metal by their stabilisers, "plus it's not like there's much to hide here."
The seeker kept an amused smile on their face as they scanned the room carefully. They turned behind him to look through the door behind them. The seeker leaned back to get a better view of the twilight sky.
"I'd be more worried about the organics finding your base", the seeker followed with an amused tone.
The autobots seemed satisfied with this answer. The seeker didn't really seem like much of a liar. Their mood changes like the weather though. Still though it's good to be on guard. Just a precaution though.
"May I ask another question, Optimus Prime" The seeker said smoothly, "What business does a group of autobots have with an organic planet?"
The seeker turned back, to the leader with an inquiring look.
"I doubt you lot are researching planets and organics. You're not flight frames and I see nothing resembling a space Bridge or a ship."
The seeker was smart enough to know that they were nowhere near cybertron and it doesn't make sense for the higher ups to just abandon a group of bots on a unknown planet. Again a brief pause.
"Oi boss bot do we tell 'em or…"
"The Decepticon leader is looking for something we have. It holds untold power that we can not let get into his hands.", Ratchet told bluntly.
Optimus jumped out of his frame momentarily before turning to the medic. He placed a servo on Ratchets shoulder.
"Is it wise to tell them?", Optimus whispered briskly.
Ratchet waved a servo dismissively.
"Only what they need to know nothing more."
Optimus backed off still wheary. His fellow autobots sharing the same look of concern.
"We were chased through a Space Bridge by their leader and had an attack recently by one of his lackeys." Ratchet continued, "We have a ship but its location will not be shared with you until we have no doubts that you can be trusted."
"... so your ship is stuck here along with you." It wasn't a question just more for amusement.
The seeker looked over the autobots. They were certainly an odd group but the seeker had just a gut feeling that they could be trusted. They were on a mission and they will try to no end to get their memories back and find out what has happened to the seekers' friends.
The seeker gave a genuine smile towards Optimus.
"Friends are always a good thing to have so please consider me a friend for now," the seeker bowed slightly still not completely eye level with the tiny prime and put their left servo over their spark, "I don't agree with war. It only leads to death on both sides but I will help you in any way I possibly can."
The autobots seemed slightly surprised by this but then again a flier on their team would be helpful.
The autobot leader put his servo out to shake.
"Welcome to the team… um"
The seeker straightened up and shook the autobot leader's servo with a genuine smile. The tiny Prime smiled back,
The seeker thought for a moment. They need a temporary designation. They're not going to be happy just to be called "that seeker". They glanced behind them through the open door
The Seeker smiled and spoke to all autobots at once.
"Call me Virus."

Chapter Text
New Detroit was certainly a sight to behold. The view from the air is wonderful. The night was clear and stars gently dotted the night sky. It wasn't necessarily too hot nor was it cold. More noticeably it was quiet. Lovely and peaceful. Nothing to disturb a certain seeker prowling the night.
You sat at the top of one of the many skyscrapers, giving you a great view of the city below. You stretched your arms above your head and leaned back against a lightning rod with your stabilisers dangling off the north side of the building. Your shrunk back behind you hovering above the ground. The world beneath looked so small and pathetic, reflecting the inhabitants. But there was also a sense of beauty. It was impressive that such an underdeveloped planet could create such structures.
You smiled to yourself and started humming a random tune listening out for the signal.
Sirens started blaring in the distance. West.
"Virus down-"
"Already on it Little prime"
"Please don't call me-"
You turned off your com link and stood up stretching, turning to your left. You could see the red and blue of the Police vehicles. You smirked pridefully and took three steps before leaping off the building. Adrenaline flowed through your veins as the cold air smacked your armoured plating. You transformed mid air, gracefully gliding between the cluster of buildings making sharp turns towards the sirens and the flashing lights.
You made it to the main route. You flew high enough so that the human wouldn't see but close enough that if need be you could swoop in. You were just in time to see the human jump on top of Prime.
Odd looking human. With a very odd voice… the voice is just annoying.
You settled in the air behind prime.
"Hahahaaa, Victory is mine", the little man yelled proudly with hands on his hips, "Yon police would ne'er stop a fire truck from speeding to an emergency!"
You laughed to yourself quietly.
"Only one problem with that theory…"
Swiftly, the little man looked to his left and right.
Optimus breaked his tires causing a comical screech.
The little man flew forward.
"Virus!"
"I got it-"
You transformed landing a bit forward of the little man and caught him before he could land on the cold concrete and cause damage. You cupped your servos around the man.
"...You're the Emergency."
Optimus transformed in front of you as the little man looked on in horror… or maybe shock. He realised he was being held and looked over his shoulder looking you in the eye. Now he just seems angry.
"Unhand me, Metallic Ruffian!", he yelled as he started squirming and squeezing his arms out. He grabbed a crossbow, turned and aimed to shoot a lamp post. He shot it and a string of wire followed with a beep. "Tallyho and fare thee well!"
"Oh no", you muttered before he slipped out of your grasp.
You turned towards optimus as he pulled out his axe. You ducked as he bolted it towards the wire leaving the little man on the floor.
He looked up angry at you both like a child who didn't get his way. You laughed smuggly. Oh this is truly pathetic. He growled and grabbed another bow shooting it behind you and Little Prime. You both protected your faces from the blast, raising your survos to your face panels.
Prime quickly focused his efforts into putting out the fire. You both looked at each other before turning to the direction of the little thief. He was making a run for it. Optimus got ready to shoot the ropes at him before you ran over blocking the man's way and grabbed him once again. You looked at him smuggly before removing his sack of bows as the police sirens neared closer.
The thief looked in shock. "Oh, vexing fate, thou art a harsh mistress!" You and Optimus looked at the little man with humor as he threw his little pity party. "I was to be rich! I was to be famous!"
"Looks like you'll just have to settle for famous", Optimus mused as he looked at the sky. You smiled at him.
You looked down at the photographers flashing their cameras at you. With your free hand you flashed a peace sign and smiled, closing your eyes. You could hear the news bots wiring above you as they got closer, filming and getting closer to the action.
…
The next day was lovely once again. Warm but not uncomfortably so. You were at the autobot base moving a bunch of large boxes across the room. As they sorted things out in one corner.
"Our new home is coming together nicely.", Little Prime said as you walked closer with three flimsy boxes stacked on top of another.
Boulder head placed (dropped) What looked to be a makeshift sofa. You smiled gratefully. At least you're not going to be stuck standing or leaning against a wall all day.
"If I had my way we'd never leave", he stated while sorting some wires, "It's not safe out there".
"I'll say", you replied.
"Can you place those just over their please", little prime asked. You started to make your way towards the wall as you continued, "I can't walk down the street without some… protoform yelling Starscream".
"They're always watching, waiting", Ratchet followed
"The decepticons?"
"No, those annoying camera bots!"
You placed the boxes down and yanked your frame upwards in a stretch. You stretched your arms above your head and frowned. You turned to your right as buzzbee started speaking.
"What? No way! Being a star Rocks," Buzzbee started, "If the titanium-alloy plating fits, wear it. And I make it look good."
"You sure door BuzzBee," you replied flatly.
Bumblebee raised a brow as you walked closer, "are you being sarcastic?"
"No… I would never," you said in the most sarcastic happy voice you could muster as you waved a servo dismissively, smiling. Buzzbee gave you a quick look of disapproval before turning to boulder head.
"You guys got it easy", Bulkhead started, "all people want me to do is break stuff. I got a sensitive side too you know." Boulder head stood up and put a servo to his face. "Breaking stuff is kind of fun.", he finished.
"Either way, there's a lot to learn about this planet.", Prime said, "So we'll just have to roll with it."
You placed your servos down and sighed. The whirl of jets turned all the autobots and your attention towards the Ninja bot who had now returned to base. He dropped down through the sun bean and started grumbling to himself angrily while walking off. "What's got his knickers in a twist," you said questioningly. The autobots turned to you confused. You stared back at them and shrugged. "Human saying". Optimus sighed and went to follow… Prowl was it? Damn I've got to start remembering these damn names better you thought to yourself before picking up a box and moving it.
You walk back with another stack of boxes and place them down next to the doctor bot.
"Hey bulkhead"
"Yeh".
"Where's buzz bot"
…
Sumdac tower has since been somewhat fixed after the commotion with Virus. It was deemed safe for workers after some areas had been shot. Professor Sumdac has since received a formal apology from Virus for their little panic that they took out on the tower. All is well and forgiven.
All was normal that day. There was the normal bustle of human workers and robot workers. The sky was bright, not a cloud could shatter the sun's bright rays, people were our. Everything was as it should be in New Detroit though little did anyone know an evil was starting to brew in the heart of the city. One that would soon wreak havoc and have the city that held him captive at his mercy.
"Dad, you in there?"Sari said, knocking at Sumdac's lab door. Mildly agitated she entered a code into the door padlock holding a cup of tea. "Access Denied", the padlock stated in a robot yet somewhat cheery voice. "Duh". "Dad?"Sari repeated as she looked through the security feed. Just growing that little bit more agitated. She looked through the feed to see her father sleeping at his desk. Around him were two small drones. Likely another one of his new prototype robots. He needed to stop doing this. Constantly sleeping at his desk was likely going to give him early back problems.
A red glow dimly lit the corner of the room. Just out of reach for the security feed to pick up on but just enough for Sari to notice. "What's that?", she asked herself, squinting into the feed to get a better look. Electricity crackled as her key lifted itself into the keyhole that had formed in response to it's all spark energy. It just barely scraped the keyhole before Sari grabbed it. "Whoa, check that out!", she stared down amazed at the small device.
Anyone walking by could see the light bulb that had formed above Sari's head. Hesitantly she pushed her key into the keyhole as rapid beeping emitted from it. "Access Denied–Access Granted", the padlock stated in that familiar robotic voice.
The door opened revealing Sumdac's lab. It made her look so small in comparison to the large doorway. Sari looked around, left and right, for the source of the glowing red light. She took three steps in the doorway before emailing a squeeze that was quickly followed by a loud yawn. Professor Sumdac stood before her.
"Now, now, Sari you know no one, including you, is allowed in my private lab, rules are rules".
"Good morning to you, too, I brought you a cup of tea."
Sumdac still stood before her sternly. In that way where the parent is exhausted but still needs to convey that the child has done something wrong that needs to be answered for.
"Oh, thank you, thank you, but I am not thirsty.", he said before swiping at the mug and gulping it down in seconds.
"Hmm. When was the last time you ate?"
"What is today?", sumdac questioned.
Sari chuckled. "Let's get you some breakfast"
"Oh but Sari I am not hungry." Sumdacs stomach growls. "Well, perhaps just an apple… oh and a banana. Better make that a whole fruit salad", he said as Sari began to drag him off to eat.
"And waffles with bacon and a cheese omelet.", sumdac continued as Sari dragged him down the hall. Both oblivious to the crackling of electricity emitting from the door. Residual allspark energy that would trigger a series of unfortunate events.
…
Electricity crackled through Sumdac's lab, through the wires. Leading into the very heart of this technological age. Quite literally the head of it all. "Mega– Mega– Mega– Me– Me– Mega– I am Megatron– Mega I" The head growled in a deep robotic voice. The evil has awoken.
"What?", Megatron questioned, "Where am I? Where is my body?" He looked around the dark, enclosed room. His gaze focused on his hand, stripped of all its protective armour. "How long have I been offline?", he questioned in a tone that sounded like a quiver and anger. Maybe confusion. His gaze focused onto the large computer screen that stood before the keypad. "Huh. What kind of antiquated system am i hooked into?
"I defeated Megatron!", a borderline skreachy but gravelly voice yelled proudly ,"I planted the device that overloaded his circuitry. His fate was sealed before he even reached your ship." The video panned to the second in command of the decepticons.
"Starscream?!"Megatron yelled enraged.
The lights blew out above his head as the glass shattered. There was an icy silence in the air before Megatron spoke. "They don't even know I'm alive." He looked back onto the feed being produced on the screen showing the young prime hanging on to the flying advertisement all while trying to keep hold of the all spark. "This cannot be happening. The allspark finally within my reach, and I have no hands to grasp it."
Another surge of energy rose with Megatron's anger, though it produced an interesting result. With the surge of energy that Megatron revived a claw started moving and twitching. "Hmm". "Perhaps I'm not as immobile as I thought.", Megatron pondered as he used the claw that he revived to pick up one of the prototypes that Sumdac was tinkering with earlier. He brought the small thing closer to his optics. "There may be more than one way to locate the allspark and destroy all who dares oppose me!"The trinket blinked to life with a new purpose.
Just as easily as he has supposedly been defeated, the being that had waged war with Cybertron and swore vengeance against the galaxy had just been brought back with a taste for revenge.
…
Later that day the sky had been washed with the final rays of the glowing sun painting a warm, cosy glow on the city of New Detroit. Children were in the final hours of school and parents were being let off work. The city had a scene of calm and chaos all in one.
"The quadratic formula can best be expressed in terms of "X" equals negative "B," plus or minus the square root of B-squared minus 4AC over 2A." Sari looked on bored as her Tutor bot droned on.
Bored, Sari activated her key and inserted it into her phone. It emitted a beeping noise as it connected with Bumblebee's comlink.
"AHH!"
"Bumblebee? Cool! It's me, Sari."
"Sari?"
"How did you get on my Comlink frequency?"
"With my key. It's wicked cool. Um, got to go. See you tonight."
The tutor bot stood over her trying to covay sternness without a face though it was immediately shattered by the cheery robotic voice. "Sari, please give me that key." Sari held an evil grin as the key let out a few whirs. She looked up at the tutor bot as the cogs in her mind twisted.
…
"For weeks, I could not get these pocket bots to work, and now…", sumdac had a slight pause. He picked up the pocket bot and inspected it questioningly before placing it down. "Hmm. I must have fixed them in my sleep or…". Sumdac turned to a screen to his left and opened up the screen.
"Um… hi, dad."
"Sari, have you tinkered with anything in my lab by any chance?"
"I never tinker with your stuff"
Behind Sari her Tutor bot was moving awkwardly and mumbling something. Class dismissed for the week?
"Um, besides, I've been too busy helping the Autobots settle into their secret lair as well as Virus"
That most certainly got the attention of Megatron.
"I-I was just going over there now."
"And where is this secret lair?"
"If I told you, it wouldn't be a secret."
In the background Sumdac could hear Tutor bot getting louder and more clumsy. Class dismissed forever?
"Uh… gotta go."
Simdac put his face in his hand as he pondered how the pocket bots had seemingly fixed themselves. Pocket bot? He looked at the one beside him then looked around him, even looking under his desk. "I could have sworn there was one more of these broken bots", he said as he started digging through the rubbish filled with old paper. He sat up on his knees and gave the room a quick skim. "Now, where could it have gone to?"
…
Meanwhile the other bot in question was digging around the vents of the building. Set off on a mission. It jumped up on a caged vent opening and cut a circle through it, creating an opening for it. The bot skittered across the floor and stopped to pause and an unexpected Sari came into view.
The tutor bot was still rambling on as it twitched and glitched. Sari decided to have mercy on the bot as she walked over and used the key to power him down. The pocket bot used the time to jump into Saris' bag. Just in time to. She didn't notice the small thing, too distracted by the events of the night to come. "Autobots, hear I come!" She stated excitedly as she made her way to the door.
…
In the autobots' new base everyone had gathered around the television. Prowl was the most captivated by it.
You were just watching the screen not really paying attention, exhausted by carrying around boxes and setting some contraptions up. You were on the floor with Prowl though leaning on the armrest of the makeshift sofa.
"Fascinating" The Ninja bot said in wonder.
Before you knew it the TV was blaring lights and blasting all sorts of noise. You yelped and fell back a bit, hitting your head on the floor. "Mind if we watch something that won't bore us into Stasis lock", Buzzbee said lounging back on the sofa.
"Oi you prick I was watching that!", you said loudly, turning to face the minibot while rubbing the back of your help. He jumped back a little while Sari shook her head. "Don't be such a stiff, you two. Especially you Prowl. Oh, wait. I forgot. You're all about stillness."
You rolled your eyes to turn and face prowl though before you knew it Prowl flew across the little section pouncing on BuzzBot. You only heard a brief yelp before Prowl had him pinned. "You should try it sometime." The Ninja bot proceeds to leap off him then onto one of the machines. Bumblebee proceeded to face you and you snickered a little at his bewildered expression. He gasped at you, offended.
"Whoa. Looks like someone forgot to defrag his hard drive", the big green one stated as the autobots looked up at him.
"Don't get your circuits in a bunch, Prowl. It's just a slammer party."
You stood up, put your servos above your head and stretched. ""Slumber" party Buzzbee". He turned to face you, still flustered at you, laughing at him before Sari interrupted him.
"Yep! Also known as the ``Slumber Party", she said excitedly before running over to you and the others.
"It's where a bunch of friends get together and hang out all night!"
Boss Prime leaned down to pick up a sleeping bag. "So, where do we hang… this out?" Prime said, referring to the small sleeping bag. You smiled a little. You had downloaded a good part of the world wide Web and had been skimming through it. Probably going to get them to do that later you thought to yourself. You looked down at Sari as she chuckled holding her stomach.
"You don't hang it out. You sleep in it.", Sari folded her arms and gave prime a side eye glance. "Only the first rule of a sleepover is, no one sleeps."
"This earth stuffis hard."
You chuckled and patted Bulkhead on the back "Wait until you surf the Internet. You'll never recover", you said with a smirk leaning down a little.
Unbeknown to you and the others the small mechanical pitter patter of steps started moving across the floor.
…
"You autobot fools are the keepers of the allspark. This must be some cosmic joke." Megatron paused. "Search mode!"The small bot beeped in accordance. It paused a moment before facing you and zooming in on your face. "It would also appear that Starscream wasn't the only one to betray me. Only thing is I can't seem to find any information on you." Megatron paused and hummed to himself.
Prowl was balancing on one of the machines before a crash through him of. "Aah! Whoa-oa-oa! No! Aah!" With one final slam, Prowl crash landed on the floor below.
Bulkhead hopped on one leg while you laughed in the background following him to help him.
"Bulkhead, that's my sleeping bag. This is yours."
Prowl glanced at Sari before she let go of the abnormally large blanket that landed on Prowl. You and Bulkhead starred as Prowl groaned.
…
It Was late evening in New Detroit and things were about to settle down before nightlife took its hold it was a relatively warm evening with a mostly clear sky. Sirens started wailing in the distance.
On the furthest part of the room the little bot skittered across and examined the room. "The allspark must be there somewhere", Megatron growled.
"Okay, left hand on Purple."
Bumblebee and Bulkhead were sprawled out across the laminated floor groaning, trying to reach the selected colour. You snorted lifting a miniature camera recording them. "C'mon guys you can do it'
"So, this is some kind of training exercise to boost dexterity?"
"It's a game - for fun."
You looked at them "who wants to start placing bets on who's going to fall first"
Sari looked over and laughed along. "Right foot on green."
Bumblebee glanced towards Prowl's direction. "Hey. Prowl, you're all into that balance and agility garbage. You want in on this action?"
You looked over at him "please Ninja bot this is comedy gold."
Prowl sighed and shook his head. He momentarily stood away. You thought for a moment that he was going to walk off before he pounced over.
Right hand on green and right foot on green. All at once you, Bumblebee and Bulkhead were gobsmacked. "Huh?!"
The game beeped indicating the win but just as quickly that Prowl had bounced over and won the game he had jumped back as if nothing had happened. He then proceeded to walk off through the doorway.
Bulkhead fell with a thud. "Dammit I thought it was going to be Buzz"
Bulkhead looked over to where Prowl was walking off. "Hey, come back! You won!" Bumblebee struggled beneath Bulkhead. "What's the matter? We not still enough for you? Fine! Have a great time in there watching the grass grow!" You just sighed and shook your head.
Later that night the bot was still skittering and spying. "This search is futile. No sign of the allspark anywhere.", Megatron growled frustrated. "Better to destroy you autobots and download its location from your lifeless shells". Megatron slowly zoomed in on you and the autobots gathered around Sari.
"And the old man suddenly vanished with a cackle of evil laughter", Sari said dramatically with a torch under her face to accelerate the drama. "And the point of this story is?" You turned where you were balled up with your knee joints under your chin to lightly tap Ratchet. "Oi let her have her fun"
"Yeh, you're always supposed to tell scary stories at a Slumber party."
"Well I'm not feeling scared", Bumblebee said while chuckling.
"Wait for it", Sari whispered. You noticed her reach for something and crained your neck to see what she was doing.
You heard a mechanical hum and smirked behind your knee joints and eyed Bumblebee.
"With the old man gone, the three children were all alone in the spooky house. There was a horrible scraping." You listened behind you to hear a screeching metal noise. "You guys hear that?", Bumblebee said with a start.
"And behind the kids, the old man's ghost-" You reached behind with your claws and tapped the floor in a sporadic melody and reached behind Bumblebee cautiously. "-sneaked up and–"
"AAAHHHH!"
You and Sari burst into hysterics! "Dude sweet", Sari laughed
"You should see the look on your face!", you laughed
"Forget that! You should have heard yourself scream, Bumblebee, you big scaredy-bot!"
You let go of bumblebees back as his weight was now fully supported by the crain.
"Laugh now, you two. I will show you true fear." The small bot walked across one of the machines to look down on the bots below. It jumped and landed on the control board below and drilled into it.
You looked down at Sari to see her using the key. Switching it from side to side. With one side motion of the key she managed to hit Bumblebee on the head with the drain. "Sari, how are you doing that?", Prime asked
"It's my key. It doesn't just fix autobots. I can do all kinds of other stuff with it, too."
Bumblebee jumped as the electricity crackled and the power went out.
"Uh, that wasn't me."
You all looked around as the power faded. Then suddenly power went on. Not to the lights but to all the machinery.
All around you you could hear the crashing and mechanical wiring of the machines.
"Take cover!"Ratchet yelled as he and Bumblebee were grabbed by one of the claws and slammed against the wall. "What's happening?" You looked around panicked and watched as Bulkhead was burned by the melter jet. You looked down to see Sari running from the blaring pink lights. You swept down to scoop her up and dodged away from the lights. You looked to your right to see the gun ready to shoot. You managed to jump and roll out of the way.
You opened your hand to look down at Sari. "You alright?" Before she could answer Prime yelled out to you. "Virus, Sari over here". You sped towards Prime as the machine shot more bullets towards you and Sari. Sari looked back up at you to "Okay, this is definitely not me."
"Boss take hold of Sari for a moment. I'm going to try something". Before he could answer you handed Sari over to prime. You could swear you had a built in gun or Ray or something! You pointed your left arm at the machine spitting out bullets hoping for something. It stopped and pointed at you starting another load. You got nervous a moment before you felt a buzzing in your arm. A gun formed out of your arm. The only problem was nothing was happening. Not only did I make a fool of myself but I am about to meet my maker you thought to yourself! But you felt another buzzing and you heard a click. There was a momentary pause. You shot a huge blast at the machine stopping it. You looked at it in amazement. "Yes!" You yelled and punched the air.
Prime had stopped and looked back at you. "Good job Virus but that isn't the only one we have to worry about!" At that point a few more of the machines took aim. At that moment the Ninja bot walked in. "This party is getting out of - aah!"
Thankfully Ratchet jumped in front before the other machines could do some damage. He used the magnetic to divert the rain of bullets. "Prime take Sari and Ninja bot me and Doc will cover you.
As you said that you heard a… mistle? You looked up to see four gas cans heading your way. "Scrap!" You grabbed Ratchet and threw him away from the blasts as quickly as you could. Unfortunately you both got hit nastily. Optimus and Prowl turned back as quickly as they had moved. "Ratchet, Virus you alright?!"
"Forget about me! Somebody's got to shut down that assembly line."
You groaned and looked at your gun and noticed something. "I could shoot them but I didn't moderate the blast enough. It needs a recharge", you said looking up at Prime.
You saw Bumblebee skid skillfully away from the makeshift missiles. "This looks like a job for wheels on heels!" Needless to say his confidence was knocked down quickly as he was placed on one of these assembly lines pinned by the machines. He transformed and managed to get away from them, now having to dodge the flurry of bullets and flowers. "Hot, hot, hot!"
"No kidding Buzzbee" you said standing up gripping your arm.
"Who needs sensitive? Smashing stuff is fun!" Bulkhead yelled as he crunched the robot arms.
"Thick-bolted moron. Let me crush that smile off your face."
Before anyone could say anything the pink laser-like lights pointed at Bulkhead and the claws dragged him onto the assembly line. The assembly line that leads to the crusher! Bulkhead grunted as he tried to pull away from the claws "that can't be good" before the hammer could crush him though he managed to hold it in place.
"Hold on I got it" you managed to run and dodge the lights and grabbed the hammer. You put one stabiliser on the line and lifted the hammer so it weighed down on your servos and back. You looked and saw that Prime was also making his way over. He transformed and stuck himself onto the line and skidded on them, reversing it.
You watched as Bulkhead got pulled away from the hammer. You looked on confidently only for it to be wiped away as quickly as it had appeared. Magnets suck. The magnet that had appeared above Prime wasted no time before pulling him away. You watched in horror as Bulkhead started being pulled towards you again… you could swear that the hammer was becoming just the slightest bit more heavy. You shifted standing on the line, lifting it higher so it wouldn't crush Bulkhead. "Primus dammit"
"Everyone, stand still", Prowl yelled.
"No. I was going to take a nice jog around the room." You said shaking under the force of the hammer.
"Nuts and bolts," Bulkhead muttered trying to pull away from the claws.
"Forget stillness! We need action!"Bumblebee yelled back as he got shot with another mistle.
"It's all connected to motion sensors. Stand still."
Ratchet groaned as he stood. Everyone watched as the lasers pointed at him and the claws reached out to grab him. Though the mood definitely lightened just a little bit when they had gotten caught together. Thank primus for Sari and her key.
"About time you used that thing for something useful.", Ratchet said, relieved.
"Zoom in on quadrant 4567… let's finish this."
Everyone turned towards Prowl as the pink lights pointed at him. "If I can make it to the control panel, I can shut this all down"
At this point you were now on one of your knees. The mistle blast from earlier had taken a lot out of you. "If that's the plan then please get on with it." Prowl nodded and got prepared to move.
He dashed off skillfully doing the lasers when he could and keeping perfectly still when they were on him. "Stillness… then strike." He transformed mid air once again dodging the lasers. "Stillness… then strike." One again he shot of grabing one of the overhead scaffolding and dodging the lasers.
"The motion sensors may be blind to you, autobot, but I am not!
Before Proel could dash, the makeshift mistress blasted at him, triggering the motion sensors. He yelled in protest as the claws tightened around him mid air. He turned to face the yellow minibot below him.
"It's up to you now, Bumblebee. Remember - Stillness."
"From Bumblebee?we're dead!"
You just groaned under the growing pressure of the hammer.
"Go for the control panel. Stillness… then strike, just like the earth creature.", Prowl yelled
"In case you haven't noticed, I'm not the one that Spends all my time staring at earth creatures!"
"Just listen to me and focus. Wait for the right time. Ready?"
You watched as the lasers held their position on Bumblebee.
"Go!"
Bumblebee shot off and moved away from the motion sensors.
"Stop!"
Bumblebee freezed as if it were a game of statues.
"Go!"
Bumblebee used the wheels on his shoulder joints and stabilisers to doge the motion sensors.
"Antiquated machines! Destroy him!"
The gas missile shot sped towards Bumblebee but he managed to get away through transforming. Bulkhead looked up at you as the pressure started pushing you even lower still out of his reach but getting close.
"Hurry, little buddy"
"Hurrying's what I'm good at.", Bumblebee said, speeding towards the control panel, "from one machine to another, eat crankcase oil."
Bumblebee punched the big red light and pulled out the faulty wiring causing everything and this time it truly was everything to power down and set everyone free.
"Your victory shall be fleeting"
"The fuel tanks - they're gonna blow!" Prime yelled.
"Oh for the love of primus-", you said standing up in a rush and grabbed Sari ready to make a run for it.
In the nick of time Prowl used one of his weapons to push the tank and prime used his grappling hooks to move it to its side. Bulkhead punched it so it would exit through the ceiling, Ratchet used his magnets to keep it in the air. You all stared up at the now open ceiling before you all heard a loud bang.
"So, if my key didn't do this, then what did?"
You gently put Sari down exhausted and sighed. My poor wings you thought to yourself. You looked to your right to see a little robot and snatched it before it could make a run. "Whatever it was, it was smart enough to merge the security motion sensors with the assembly line", Ratchet stated.
"You don't think it has anything to do with this?" You said putting the small bot between your claws. Prowl looked at the small robot in your servo. "A robotic design merging organic and mechanical. Fascinating.", Prowl said in awe. You both let out a gasp when it jumped from your servo onto the floor making a dash for the exit.
"Catch it. We need to examine it.", Prime ordered.
Before you could move to get it Bulkhead jumped and trapped it in his servo… well crushed would be a better word.
"Got it!", he looked down at his servo before jumping in realisation, "right. Examine it."
You just crossed your arms and sighed.
…
"I had them! They shall be destroyed. I cannot remain in this unacceptable operational status. I need a body!" Megatron growled while pulling up the file to "Virus'" repair. He hummed a little.
"Perhaps it is time I revealed a little more of my Cybertronian technology to professor Sumdac."
…
"Be still. Focus, relax."
"I am all about stillness", Bumblebee replied proudly.
"You're about as still as a shaky leaf Buzz", you responded with your recorder facing him. Earned you a little pout from the minibot and a giggle from Sari. You turned towards Sari who was kicking her legs back and forth on the makeshift chair.
"Right servo on orange."
You looked down at the camera and smiled. You may have forgotten most of your life on Cybertron but... you looked up from the camera at the other bots but you were prepared to make some new memories.
