Work Text:
Alec was stuck at another downworlder party that Magnus had dragged him to. He didn't really mind, but it wasn't his favorite way to spend his time. He would much rather be at home, curled up with Magnus and a book, and listen to Chairman Meow yowl at every person or car that passed by.
But alas, he stood in a corner off to the edge of the french room looking out for either a way to escape or his boyfriend.
"Hey." A monotone and slightly annoyed voice spoke next to him.
Alec turned, startled to the man. It was Raphael, the head of the closest Vampire den.
"Oh, uhm hi, Raphael. Lily drag you here?" He asked the vamp.
"Of course she did." He replied, swishing the bronze-red liquid in a glass he held. "I'm assuming Magnus dragged you here too?. He always had an interest in these types of things."
"He didn't drag me here, just told me we were going out, gave me clothes, and we left." Alec responded, although it didn't seem the other man really cared.
"You look good together. You and Magnus, you… just fit. He cares about you a lot. You make him happy. I, don't want to see him lose that happiness. Don't- Watch over him please?" Raphael said seriously, looking up to meet Alec's eyes for the first time. He had a look of deep seriousness in them.
"Of course." Alec assured the vamp. "Magnus means, everything to me. I'll watch over him until the day I die."
"That's what I'm worried about…" Raphael murmured before taking a long sip from his drink. "Your boyfriend is two rooms over, in the kitchen. Him and a few werewolves are playing a drinking game. I'd recommend retrieving him before either he or a wolf makes something explode."
And with that, just as soon as Raphael had appeared next to Alec, he was gone.
Alec pushed himself off the living room wall making his way to the kitchen to get his boyfriend and head home to that book.
