Chapter Text
Tommyinnit was a big man. Big man did not cry. Big man did not cope. Big man would suck it up and live with it. Big man would not change because of a tiny bit of trauma.
And if big man did cope they would do it silently and alone. No big man did not ask for help, even when they coped unhealthy.
But Tommy did not cope unhealthy, no he didn't even cope at all! No Tommyinnit would daydream, he would make up scenarios and find himself lost in them making whole new realities, whole new universes.
Tommyinnit would work and in the next second find himself imagine Tubbo telling him he did enough and to come and hang out, maybe go to their bench and listen to cat.
He would lay in his bed trying to fall asleep and suddenly he was cuddled up with Wilbur and Techno and Phil whispering sweet nothings in his ears, telling him how much they loved him, how proud they were of him and how he should let his eyes rest after another stressfull day.
He knew what he was doing was not just normal daydreaming. He heard it mentioned once or twice. What he was doing was called maladaptive daydreaming. Where he tried to escape reality. That wasn't coping!
He even remembered the first time it happened.
It was a few days after Wilburs death. He was listening to an old song of Wilburs when he began to think, think of a different reality where the election never happened.
Wilbur would come and try and get him to do paperwork. He would fail and give up before joining Tommy in terrorizing the city that was called L'manburg and it's citizens.
Niki would give him a warm hug and invite them into her bakery where Tubbo, Fundy and Jack would sit at the table and wave at them.
He and Wilby would join them and Niki would sit next to him with a plate full of pastries. They would eat and laugh, big Q and his fiancées, Karl and Sapnap, would come too and they would tell stories while eating those delicious pastries.
Schlatt wouldn't be an asshole, no he would still be the hero that Tommy looked up to why did he have to change this bad and ruffle his hair and-
Well I think you got the point. Anyway, he was broken out of his daydream by Tubbo knocking on his door, probably to go and help him with his bees.
This was the first time, and it certainly would not be a one-time thing.
