    Summary

They say that if you put a frog in a pot of boiling water, it will instantly leap out. But if you put it in a pot with lukewarm water and gradually heat it, the frog won't be able to detect the change in the temperature until it dies.

Maybe they are the frog in this situation. Ignorant. Unaware of what's happening under their noses.

The flame gets hotter. They don’t know it. The water reaches boiling point and - “Wake up, Bam.”

    Bam doesn’t answer.

    “...Bam?”

    The frog dies.

    Where some things are inevitable.

“Sleep, those little slices of death — how I loathe them.”
    ― Edgar Allan Poe
