Summary:

Sam and Bucky need a distraction when they notice a familiar face at Sharon's party.

Notes:

This is my first fanfic in a while! So please be kind!

I just wanted to make something short and cute with room for more! ;)

Work Text:

Sam and Bucky are at Sharon’s party in Madripoor waiting around for Sharon to find out more about Nagel. Zemo is off enjoying his time while Sam and Bucky are standing by the bar. Bucky could not help himself from looking over at Sam. Green looked good at him. Seeing the way the shirt stuck to his muscles made Bucky uncomfortable. He could not stop himself from undressing him in his mind. Bucky forces himself to turn away and down the shot of tequila he had in his hand. As much as having the super soldier serum running through his veins was helpful, it also stopped him from feeling anything when he drank. And he really needed to not feel anything right now.

Sam knew that Bucky kept looking over at him. He tried not to react to it even though he wanted to. He had never seen Bucky before wearing a suit jacket and boy did he look fine wearing it. Sam swallows the lump in his throat blaming the turtleneck but he knew it was Bucky’s fault. Sam leans against the bar and looks out at all the partygoers.

“Shit,” Sam says and Bucky turns to look at him confused, “That’s one of the guys from Selby’s bar.”

Sam grabs Bucky’s arm and they begin to walk away from the bar. As they begin to walk away, they come across the hallway filled with people. The guy was getting closer.

“Fuck.” Bucky says under his breath before grabbing Sam by his shirt and pushing him up against the wall. He slams his lips onto Sam’s. His lips felt just as good as he imagined they would.

Sam was still in shocked but he eventually wrapped one of his arms around Bucky’s waist as he started kissing him back. He placed his other hand on Bucky’s cheek to cover him from being recognized by the guy who he heard stepping closer.

As soon as the man walks by and does not recognizes them, Sam pushes Bucky away. Bucky looks at Sam confused.

“Don’t do that again.” Sam says about to walk away.

“Sam, wait.” Bucky grabs Sam’s arm feeling his muscles flex under his touch.

“No. This was nothing more than just a distraction. We have a job to do.” Sam pulls his arm out of Bucky’s hand and walks away.

Bucky lets out a deep sigh passing his metal hand through his hair in frustration. He wanted to talk about it. That kiss felt like it meant something to him so it obviously meant something to Sam as well. But he was right. Bucky did not need to complicate things more than he already had. He had helped Zemo escape from prison and was probably just making Sam’s job harder by including himself.

When this is all over. He would talk to him. He might finally talk about how he actually feels for the man.
