Chapter Text

Fundy hummed as he stared out of the Caravan’s window, his toes hurt from tip toeing. There was Eret building the walls, looking focused as they planted down every blackstone. His father was talking to Tommy and Tubbo, the 2 boys nodding up at Wilbur as he told them what to do.

Wilbur had told him to stay in the van since the day he got there, Fundy hasn’t been outside for a week, and he hasn’t talked to Pap- Eret at all! Father hasn’t let them stop working at all, not even to sleep!

Fundy pouted as he went back to reread the potions book, he practically knew them from the back of his hands, so it got boring after the first page. He had tried to make one but Father immediately stopped him, proceeding to scold him for attempting something so dangerous.

Fundy had found some scrap metal and started to make a machine with the extra redstone but again he was scolded! Father didn’t let him do anything, and he didn’t do anything with him! All he did was hanging with Tommy, and when Fundy tried to talk to Father he’d brush him off after 5 minutes.

‘I miss papa’ He thought sadly. Papa would talk to him, they would give good food and sing him to sleep. Fundy felt tears prick at his eyes and he cried, he cried and cried but no one came. No Papa, No Father, Just the little fox in a van crying by himself.

Fundy cried for hours, soft sobs escaping him as someone walked into the van, so he tried to be quiet. “Fundy,” rang out the comforting voice of his papa, making him shoot up and run to them. He started sobbing again as Eret picked him up, wiping the tears away with their thumb, pressing a soft kiss on his head.

“I’m sorry I didn't visit sooner, I’m sorry,” They whispered as they rocked him in their arms. Fundy curled up into his papa’s arms, “missed you Papa,” He
slurred into their shoulder. “It’s Eret now funds,” They chuckled wistfully, “Wilbur’s your papa now.” Fundy placed his hands at either side of their face, just like they would when they would comfort him or tell him that they love him. Eret’s eyes became shiny with tears, smiling wetly as they pressed their foreheads together, “I love you kiddo. Don’t you ever forget that.”

“I love you too papa..”
