Work Text:

Deidara squeezes the tube. A green dollop of aloe vera gel falls on his palm. He spreads it over Obito's reddened shoulder. His boyfriend lets out a deep sigh.

"Feels nice," he mutters.

"What if I do this?" Deidara blows over the shiny patch of skin.

"Mmm... That is nicer. Keep doing it."

"I guess you're going to sleep with the fan on tonight."

Deidara isn't looking forward to it.

"I hate it, Dei?" Obito says. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"Not your babysitter." Deidara sees Obito pout through the mirror. He sticks his tongue out and squeezes the tube again. "That's Rin's job."

"Dei... You always spend the whole day playing volleyball with Gai's nephew every time we go to the beach all together."

"What can I do?" Deidara shrugs. "The kid thinks I'm awesome. He's right though."

"Next time, it will be just you and me. No one else."

Deidara snorts.

"Deal. Now drink some water," he says, pouring some icy water from the jug into a glass. Obito takes it and presses it against his cheek. "Drink it."

"Okay. In a minute. This feels good."

"I promised Rin I'd make you drink two litres of water, hm."

"Well she's not here." Obito sighs and takes a sip. "Sorry I'm being whiny. It burns so much, Dei."

Deidara covers his back with gel, blowing gently.

"You'll be fine," Deidara singsongs. "A couple of bad days and then it's over."

"Hope so... Thanks for looking after me, I'll be more careful next time."

Deidara pats Obito's back and moves to the front.

"Lean back a little," he says. Obito obliges and then Deidara sees the perfect rectangle of pale skin in the middle of his scorched belly. "At least your phone protected you. Sorta."

"I'd ask you for a kiss but it'd probably make me scream."

"That can be fixed, hm."

Then he leans forward and leaves a kiss in the middle of the pale rectangle.
