   Summary

   It's been a year since the war ended and Etheria was freed from Horde Prime, and all should be well. But all is not well with Queen Glimmer, her father King Micah, and her friend—and foreign minister—Catra. In addition to their relationship being strained by grief, Glimmer and Micah find themselves suddenly unable to cast spells. Meanwhile, Glimmer and Catra have to address the uncomfortable facts of their friendship: what happened to Queen Angella, and who was responsible. Between all of them, a shadow still hangs.
