"Heh, Guess I'm alone again, huh?"
The air stood still as the two stood on the school roof. Ren just had a very tearful farewell with his closest friend Shiho Suzui and now he sat on top of the airvent, face in his hands.
Ann stood there for what felt like minutes. She felt like something needed to happen. She hated seeing him like this, she was his closest friend and the two bonded immediately after he had became a phantom thief. Despite being the leader of the Phantom Thieves, Ann would always look to Ren for advice and tactics whenever in a palace or in Mementos. She even side for him when the team suggested that Makoto should replace him when she became Queen and she (Ann) succeeded. There was a feeling inside her whenever they hung out or chatted through texting, she didn't know what, but it appeared when she first saw him under the awning in the rain. It felt all warm and fuzzy, especially during hot days like this one. But whatever it was it could wait until she comforted her friend. She walked up to him, gently pulled his hand away from his face showing that the tear dried up, pulled him into a hug, gently stroking his head. And without thinking, said. "Ren-Ren. You have me."
She mean it like that, did she? She just wanted to know that she'll always be there for him, come what may. "A-Ann," He said shakily. "Ann I... I l..."
'Uh-Oh' she thought. Maybe she went too far. She didn't mean to upset him. What could she do. Still holding him, trying to find an apology. She heard something that'll stick with her till the day she die.
"I love you, Ann". Time felt like it stopped. Ann could feel her cheeks turning red. Ren must've realised what he said, because he stood up, breaking the hug and stared at her, face just as red. "I..I.... I am so sorry Ann! I don't know what I was thinking!"
"No no, it ok!" She quickly replied. Everything became awkward all of a sudden.
"I... I should go!" He said. And he took off towards the stairway before Ann could stop him. "SEE YOU AT SCHOOL!" he shouted, as he descended down the stairs.

Days passed, Ann couldn't stop thinking about what Ren said that day. The two talked in Ann's room and they just laughed it off together. "Could you imagine?" He said.
Ann smiled, "Yeah, that's just silly."
"Oh by the way". He realised. "I gotta photoshoot on Wednesday. You wanna come?"
"Of course!" She smiled happily.
"Cool. See you then!" He said, walking towards the station.

After the photoshoot, Ren was talking with the staff when his rival, Mika sneaked passed and walked towards Ann. "Hey, have we met before?" She said.
"Oh! Errr, y-yeah? I'm Ren's friend. I was supporting him during a bad time." Ann sheepishly said.
"Oooh, you must be Ann!" Mika said surprised. "I'm Mika, Ren would like, always talk about you."
"H...huh?!" Ann yelped, starting to blush.
"Yeah, like he would never shut up, it would be like he's in his own little world. Always gushing about you. Saying about how you helped him and that you were always there to motivate him."
Ann, stood there taking it all in as Mika continued.
"At first during the start of the year he would always come in with bruises the make-up guys would always have to place tons of make-up on his face just to cover them, and when he was asked he just said he tripped down the stairs not to mention he'd always have a depressed look on his face, it would like totally kill the mood. But after May he suddenly got confident and the bruises disappeared. And the scary part? He was smiling! It was like he was a totally different person."
Just then Ren walked over. "Hey, great stuff out there Mika-san."
"You too Amamiya-kun! I was just telling your girlfriend here on your previous days." Mika beamed.
Ren went red in the face. "W..what?! Why...how....I.....she.....we're not....why!?"
"Don't worry" She said, waving her hand walking away before turning and winking. "I won't tell anyone. Laters!" She walked off leaving the two alone.
Ren sighed and rubbed his head turning to Ann who was staring at him. "I'm real sorry about her. She's always like that. Not when she's using crocodile tears to guilt trip her co-workers. But still."
"H-hey, uhmm. Mika said that you'd always talk about me. Saying that I'd always keep you going." Ann said quietly, but enough for Ren too hear. "Is it true?"
Ren stood there, staring at the ground as if he was trying to find the right words. For a brief few moments, he looked over to her and smiled. "Of course it is. You and Shiho were there for me when I was at my lowest point. You two taught me that you always gotta stand strong no matter what comes our way. Now I wanna be there for you, the rest of the Phantom Thieves and anyone else, just like you and Shiho were there for me. Ann, you're my light."
Those words.... you're my light.......
"Your light?" She repeated softly. That warm fuzzy feeling came back again, but this time it felt stronger. As if it were trying to tell her something. She remembered meeting him for the first time. The other time she saw him break down at Big Bang Burger, telling her about his deal with Kamoshida, and then him finally standing up for himself and ripping off his mask, showing a very powerful persona, more powerful and he's, Morgan's or Ryuji's combined. She remembered when he bursted into tears of happiness when he told her about when Shiho woke up and was able to help her recover quickly. That smile always made her happy, she wanted to see that smile forever. She wanted to be with him forever. Just then, it clicked. She now realised why she felt this way. She know knew why she said those words back on the school roof. Why he said what he said in response. "Ren-Ren, you have me"
Ann breathed in deeply and exhaled to look at Ren. She knew what she had to do. "Let's go somewhere", she said grabbing there bags in one hand and taking Ren by the arm in the other. Before Ren could say anything, they were already walking to the Ferris wheel. She payed for the tickets and pushed Ren inside before stepping inside herself. The doors shut and they were already moving upwards.
"Wh...what?! What's going on? Did I say something?" Ren spluttered out.
Ann shook her head and sat down on one of the seats motioning him to do the same thing. "Ren. Back at the rooftop on that day."
Ren sighed. "If it's about that, look I'm really sorry about tha..." Ren's words were cut of when Ann wrapped her arms around him and she buried her face in him. He blushed again this time even more that he looked like a tomato.
"Ren" Ann softly said. Looking at him, both their eyes gazing at each other. "Did you mean what you said then?"
"Ann I..."
"Did you mean it?!"
"Y...yes!" Ren finally said. "Yes I did and I still do! You're the one that I felt like I could smile at and not feel bad afterwards. You're the one that actually listened to me when no one else did. You're the one that told me to show Shiho that I can be strong and to face my demons! I said before and I'll say it now. I love you Ann Takamaki! I want to be with you forever!" Ren began to cry and he looked away.
"Ren-Ren". Ann said softly and comfortably. Ren turned his head to Ann who also had tears whelling up and armed stretched out. "I love you too".
No more words were said as Ren pulled Ann in and their lips finally met. Ann eyes widened before closing as she embraced her new boyfriend.
