Summary
What if there is no Alina Starkov? What if there is no Sun Summoner? What if there is no light to the dark? Or maybe the answer is in the dark all along… after all, if there’s no darkness, there can be no light.
Rhaella Renoüf has been fighting who she is her entire life, but not because she’s an orphan but because she’s the daughter of a Drüskelle soldier. The Grisha are witches, abominations, or so Fjerda says. The more Rhaella fights who she is, the more danger she puts everyone in as she feels her abilities itch right beneath her skin. With her brother at her side, she escapes into the dead of a wintery night in hopes to make it to the Ravkan border. But to find what, exactly? Acceptance?
When they find out what she is, they may not want her either.
