Rhaella Renoüf has been fighting who she is her entire life, but not because she’s an orphan but because she’s the daughter of a Drüskelle soldier. The Grisha are witches, abominations, or so Fjerda says. The more Rhaella fights who she is, the more danger she puts everyone in as she feels her abilities itch right beneath her skin. With her brother at her side, she escapes into the dead of a wintery night in hopes to make it to the Ravkan border. But to find what, exactly? Acceptance?
