Chapter Text
“...And then there’s option three.” Anabelle Cane said.
“What’s that?” Jon asked tentatively.
“Time travel. Aw, don’t give me that look, from my perspective it’s completely reasonable. We were just talking about sending the fears, which, mind you, don’t even have bodies outside of their avatars, into other dimensions. Comparatively, sending two meat sacks back in time should be relatively much simpler.”
“You could do that?” Jon asked, trying to keep the hope from his voice.
“I should be able to! Granted, I’d prefer to limit the number of people going to you and Martin. I may be able to manipulate many threads with time moving as it’s supposed to, but sending people through time sounds much more difficult. I’d send you alone, but I’m not completely heartless.”
“ Why are you trying to help us? ” Anabelle winced.
“Because the apocalypse isn’t much fun. Barely anyone or anything to manipulate.”
“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I trust you. I’m assuming that you won’t let us go back and confer with our friends?”
“Why Archivist, you know me so well!”
“Release Martin.”
“Oh, right.” She snapped her fingers for dramatic affect. The threads of tape unwound from martin and he scrambled over to Jon.
“Martin, Barisa. What do you think?”
“I’ve said it before Jon. I’ll go wherever you go.”
“Well, it’s certinly better than the other options. If you do it, and I’m leaning towards you doing it, I’ll tell the others.” Barisa said logically.
“Ok. I think I’ll, we’ll, do it. Barisas right, its the best option. Martin,-”
“I’ll do it.”
“Ok. Barisa, I want to thank you. For everything, including you saying you’ll tell the others.”
“You’re welcome.”
“So, Anabelle. How do we do it .”
“There’s really no need-fine. Just drop and I’ll take it from there. I promise. I’ll even try and land you in a good place and time.”
“Walk into my parlor, said the spider to the fly.” Martin muttered, but took Jons hand. “On the count of three?” Jon nodded and they spoke together.
“Three, two, one.” they stepped forwards and fell.
---
Somehow, everyone was in the break room. Jon had practically been dragged there by Martin, and Tim and Sasha spent lots of time there. So they were all there when two men fell out of nowhere into the break room.
“What the hell?” Tim exclaimed.
