Summary
In 1933, Elizabeth Colvin never could have imagined that moving to the big city of New York from her family farm to pursue a career in journalism would land her in the middle of two rival mafia families, but when one boss ends up trafficking children, she can't just do nothing, especially when she learns that she'd nearly been one of them.

Vittorio would be a supreme asshole if he and Elizabeth were to hook up at the end after everything that will happen. If you want something with tons of sex, or something where sex is withheld until the end, then this isn’t the story for you. Sex is where it is for very deliberate, specific, planned-out reasons.)
