Panda Stickers

Summary:

"By the way, which sticker was your favorite?" The question is whispered gently, and with a sweet voice that soothes Sapnap. Dream always makes him feel that way, he really does love him for that.

"Panda ones," He says back, excitement clear in his voice, body language showing his eagerness as well by the way he bobbed his head slightly. At the same time the sleepiness he felt was also evident, a yawn coming from him after he answered.

"Somehow, I figured, but I just wanted to make sure." Dream laughs a little and rests his chin on the top of his boyfriend's head.

Sapnap has a bad day, and even though it's a little delayed Dream is there to help.

Work Text:

After a long day of work Sapnap always looks forward to Dream coming home. As soon as the doorknob starts to rattle and the entrance to the house is open Sapnap is bounding over like a puppy greeting its owner.

It fills him with excitement to greet his lover at the door with a hug and a few kisses to his face.

But today isn't like that, Sapnap's had a terrible day with classes. He forgot to turn in a project that was worth twenty-five percent of his grade. It caused him to have a meltdown during lunch and Karl, his best friend had helped him through it all.

They were sitting in the parking lot of a subway, just having got their food when it happened. Sapnap was in the passenger seat when his eyes began to tear up, Karl immediately asked him what was wrong and he'd told him about the project, how he hadn't turned it in.

The tears came fast, falling down his cheeks rapidly as he buried his face in his hands. Karl had a hand on his back, patting it in hopes of comforting his friend.

"Hey, Sapnap don't worry about it, you can make up for it with the next project and I'll even help you, I promise."

Sapnap was still beyond bummed out even with the comfort, but he'd sucked it up, telling himself it'd be alright; That he would go home and Dream would get there an hour after him.

Sapnap would get the chance to regress, and his boyfriend would look after him, giving him reassurance and making him feel safe and loved while he was little. It had gotten him through the rest of his treacherous day and even made him smile as he walked from his college campus to their house.

It had always been a preference of his to walk home and get exercise. They lived around a 30 minute walk from campus and Sapnap enjoyed walking home, especially on the days Karl went with him. Today he had been called in early for work though, which Sapnap didn't mind too much.

Now he was around a block away from arriving home. His hands grip the backpack he has on tightly, he was thinking about getting home and showering, waiting for Dream to arrive and then talk to him about his plans and his day. Dream would give him a soft smile, telling him he'd take care of him.

It was absolutely perfect, Dream was perfect. Of course they had their quarrels but in the end they always discussed their differences. Sapnap especially loved how Dream was so understanding of his age regression.

He'd always lived in fear of telling people, afraid of being made fun of. When the topic of conversation had finally presented itself with Dream his hands had gotten all clammy, stumbling over his words. But Dream hadn't laughed at him, nor teased him about it which honestly was a little bit of a shock. Dream was the type to tease him over anything embarrassing in their relationship. It was a relief, really.

All he knew was Dream had told him he'd always take of him when he wanted to age regress.

The very first time Sapnap had let Dream take care of him he'd been rather embarrassed. It didn't bother him anymore, but back then he'd hated for Dream to see him in such a vulnerable state. He'd thought that once he'd actually seen it Dream would laugh at him and Sapnap would be utterly humiliated, instead he had been careful with him, making sure to speak to him softly and handle him tenderly as well.

When Sapnap had turned away and curled up, refusing to let Dream care for him out of fear of being a laughing stock Dream had cooed to him gently, petting his hair with a hand. Eventually Sapnap had eased up and crawled into Dream's lap.

Afterwards, it got a little easier. Sapnap had known the first time he'd regressed would be the toughest, but after experiencing first hand just how understanding Dream was, and how caring he was, Sapnap had warmed up to letting Dream see that side of him.

The shame he'd felt about regressing in front of Dream dissipated soon after. It led to the excitement he felt now of simply being able to let go after a frustrating day. Yet, it seemed as if the universe was not on his side today.

From the pocket of the hoodie he wore he heard his phone vibrate from a notification. His hand found its way into the compartment, slipping his phone out and coming to a halt as he checked what exactly was the source of the received notification.

A text from Dream apparently.

A smile spread over his face as he clicked on the notification, not bothering to read the preview of the message.

His eyes skimmed over the message and his heart immediately dropped; all the way from his chest to his feet. I wont be home until 7 today, they want me to work extra hours :( sorry.

Out of all days for Dream to work it just had to be the one he was feeling terrible.

His fingers hovered over his keyboard trying to figure out what to say. If he told Dream what he wanted, needed , he would be sure to worry. Sapnap couldn't do that to him.

alright, ill try to cook us dinner :)

His phone goes back into his pocket and his walk resumes, lips no longer forming a smile.

⌑ ⌑ ⌑

The front door shuts with a small click and Sapnap sighs, sinking to the floor soon after.

Their two-story house they live in is big for the two of them, but for once it feels entirely too small and empty. The straps of his back slide off his shoulders and Sapnap takes it off completely, setting it by the door, the weight of it is almost as heavy as his heart and he finds that funny because all his bag is filled with is a heap of math textbooks and he despises math.

With a solemn sigh he stands to his feet for his pouting will not make Dream return home any faster.

He decides to get dinner ready, or attempt to.

Sapnap's strong suit has never been whipping up something delicious in the kitchen like Dream, but after a long day of work Sapnap knew Dream would appreciate whatever he prepared him. That’s something else he loved about Dream, that Sapnap didn’t need to do everything perfectly, it was probably one of the only reasons he let himself cook on occasions.

The kitchen is dark but with a flip of the switch on the wall the room is filled with light from above on the ceiling. The light hangs over the island and Dream just had to make it vintage by making the lightbulb special, so when turned on instead of a normal yellowish color, it was a warm orange. Not that Sapnap minded, but he did find it a bit odd that it was the only room in their house Dream had insisted on getting such an aesthetic for.

He scoffs at the thought, walking over to the fridge and opening it up. Nothing catches his eyes, so with a sigh of dismay he closes the fridge. An idea soon pops into his head and he wonders if he can pull it off. Sapnaps knows for a fact Dream loves eating breakfast foods and if Sapnaps memory serves him right there should be a box of pancake mix in the cabinet.

His hand reaches to open a cabinet above the sink, his eyes light up when he spots the box, setting it on the counter, he looks at the clock.

5:41

Sapnap contemplates cooking or taking a shower first, his mind grows foggy for a few seconds thinking about it. His eyes focus back on the counter, a sigh escaping him from the realization he'd completely slipped for a second.

A shower should relieve the stress he feels a little, and as long as he does it quickly he’ll still be able to make dinner with plenty of time to spare.

He walks upstairs, entering his room and grabbing a pair of pajamas.

Usually he would just throw on a white undershirt and some shorts, but today that didn’t apply. Instead he’d taken a button up, soft shirt that was white with black sleeves and had a small pocket on the chest area that had a panda printed onto it.

The pants that accompany it are white with black paw prints all over, and black cuffs at the bottom of them, a bamboo shoot on the right one.

Looking at them makes him smile, he hugs then to his chest.

If only Dream were home.

His smile wavers but he doesn't let himself become too upset before going to the bathroom.

The shower he has is quick but pleasant, it loosens his muscles a little and relaxes him. In the long run he's not sure if that'll be such a good thing but he should be able to cook dinner without slipping or simply becoming too drowsy so he doesn't worry about it. His hair is fluffy and messy, he's not in the mood to comb it and Dream has always preferred his hair messy which has led him to keep it that way more often.

Back in the kitchen he looks at the instructions on the box of the pancake mix, lips in a straight line and brows furrowed. They don't seem too complicated, well they wouldn't if Sapnap didn't just want to age regress.

With a shrug he begins to follow the instructions and within around half an hour two plates are on the counter with warm, pancakes that look fluffier than the clouds that littered the sky today Dreams had two where he only has one, he tends to never want to eat too much.

Immediately he pushes the negative thoughts away, deciding to instead focus on how proud of himself he was. There had been minimal problems throughout the experience, so naturally he felt accomplished.

A mewl comes from behind him, Sapnap already knows who it is. His lips spread into a small grin as he turns around to look down at Patches.

"Hey girl," He whispers, leaning down to scratch behind her ears with his index finger.

The cats' tail flicks behind her, eyes closing from the satisfaction of being given attention. Patches always makes Sapnap a little giddy, he enjoys petting her so really it's a win-win for both of them. The orange light makes her look extravagant, and as she purrs Sapnap really just wants to curl up with Patches in his arms.

His hand continues to pet her, moving down to her neck and trailing down to her back. Each passing second is one that Sapnap desperately just wants to be little, he could cuddle Patches and take a nap until Dream got home.

He decides to ask Patches, she knows everything after all.

"Whaddya' think Patches?"

The cat purrs, her ears twitching. Sapnap takes it as enough of a yes and so he stands up, picking Patches up in his arms. He enters the living room, taking a seat on the couch and yawning.

Patches is just so warm and fluffy, she's so comforting it really makes him soft. Sapnap looks at the clock on the wall, wondering how long he should nap.

It's close to seven and Dream should get off work then, meaning he'd get home closer to eight. This gave him plenty of time to rest so he laid down on his side, letting Patches curl up into a ball at his feet.

Not much time passes before Sapnaps eyes are closed and he’s snoring softly, Patches awake and eyes darting around keeping guard of one of her favorite people. The only real noise is that of the clock on the wall and all is still, eventually Patches deems the house safe and sets her head down on the plush cushion of the couch, closing her eyes for a nap of her own.

Sapnap doesn’t wake up.

Patches is the one to immediately lift her head at the sound of the front door being unlocked. She’s fast and agile, quickly on her feet with the grace of a hare as she bounded over to the door.

As soon as Patches sees who it is, her tail flicks from side to side happily, a mewl from approval breaks the once silent environment of the home.

“Come to greet, hm?”

The man leans down, a smile on his face as he pets the furball on her head. “Where’s Sap? He’d usually come to greet me too.” Dream giggles at that and patches purrs, turning on her heel and returning to the living room.

Dream knows she wants him to follow so he does, setting his wallet and keys on a small table near the door. Upon entering he sees Sapnap curled up, sleeping and immediately his eyes notice what he’s wearing. His eyes widen and he hums debating on whether he should wake the other up.

In the end he decides against it, deciding he’ll shower and then wake his lover up. He reaches into his pocket, running his hand over a sheet he’d picked up from the store. Sapnap would definitely enjoy it, especially like this. The edges of his lips curve into a grin before he goes to shower, leaving Sapnap on the couch with Patches once again.

At some point Patches has decided Sapnap has been sleeping long enough, she saunters over close to his face, dipping her head down to rub her face against the males cheek.

Sapnap grumbles, not wanting to wake up just yet. Patches is not having it.

She meows loudly, pawing at Sapnaps shoulder in hopes of getting him to awaken.

“Go ‘wayy.”

Patches flicks her tail, hopping off the couch in one leap with a meow of frustration at Sapnap’s stubbornness.

Well, it's not like Sapnap will be able to sleep again anyways so reluctantly he allows his eyes to open, his lashes tickle the bottom of his eyes and he yawns, sitting up. When his wandering eyes find their way to the clock, they widen in shock.

How could he have let himself sleep so late? Wait, does that mean Dream's home?

Hastily he's on his feet, rubbing at his right eye and whining, his feet drag him to the kitchen and with a peek he sees that the pancakes are still there. Sapnap lazily trudges up the stairs, relief flooding through him when he hears the shower running. He can feel himself practically bouncing on his heels as he waits next to the door.

It seems his hands have become the best form of entertainment by the way he twiddles his thumbs until the door opens and Dream steps out in a gray T-Shirt and sweats.

Sapnap immediately drops his hands, mouth breaking into an even larger smile.

When Dream catches sight of him his expression softens. He opens his arms and Sapnap is in them three seconds flat.

"So, bad day or you just felt like it?" Dream whispers to him and Sapnap bites his lip.

"Ba' day," he mumbles looking up at Dream.

"I see, I'm sorry that I had to stay at work later than usual. You were alright without me here,?" Dream asks, one hand rubbing up and down Sapnap's back.

"Mm, was a little sad, but 'm okay now," Sapnap exclaims, the grin still on his face.

"I'm glad sweetie, and you even made dinner. I'm so proud of you," Dream coos.

The praise makes Sapnap's heart skip a beat. He rocks a little on his heels once again. "Wan'ed to do somethin’ nice for you."

Dream moves his hands to cup Sapnap's cheeks, planting a kiss on his nose. "Having you in my life is more than enough, now let's go reheat the pancakes, yeah?"

Sapnap nods, a giggle rising in his throat from the kiss which only leads Dream to give him another.

Together they walk downstairs, Sapnap trailing behind Dream. Their fingers are intertwined in a way that makes Sapnap forget about all his troubles from today.

Dream reheats the pancakes on the stove quickly, grabbing a bottle of maple syrup from the fridge and taking a seat at the table after grabbing utensils for the both of them along with a napkin.

Sapnap sits right next to Dream, scooting his chair impossibly close so that he can rest his head on the blonde's shoulder. Dream drapes his left arm over Sapnap's shoulder, kissing his forehead gingerly. "You want me to feed you?"

"Mhm, pwease."

Dream smiles, "of course, do you want maple syrup?"

Sapnap nods his head up and down eagerly, head bobbing up and down absentmindedly. Dream cuts a piece of the food, holding it up to Sapnap's mouth. "Say ahh," Dream says, voice soft and sweet.

Sapnap tips his head forward and opens his mouth, “ahhh,” his lips wrap around the fork and drag the pancake off, chewing on it. His eyes light up and his hands curl into gentle fists. "Is really yummy, can't believe I made it all by myself!" He drags out the syllables on the word all, smiling.

"You did, didn't you?" Dream chuckles, softly, eating some of his own food.

Sapnap nods his head lazily, deciding he can feed himself as he reaches to grab the fork Dream has gotten him and begins to eat. In actuality he is quite proud of himself, when he’d been making the pancakes he was almost sure he’d burn them but that hadn’t seemed to be the case and that was something he could be more than thankful for.

Each time he glanced at the male next to him, he would look back, catching Sapnap’s gaze. He would grow flustered and quickly turn away, legs kicking while he ate in silence, not trusting his voice to stay smooth if he tried to speak.

By now, Dream has finished and has his chin propped resting on his palm, elbow propped up and all as he bores holes into Sapnap with his eyes.

"A cat must have gotten your tongue," Dream says teasingly, reaching one hand out to twirl a piece of Sapnap's hair on one finger.

"Nu-uh," Sapnap shakes his head, legs swinging in a more feverish manner as he eats the last of his food, chewing slowly as possible to give him an excuse  for not talking.

"Really?"

Sapnap nods his head in response, cheeks tinted a soft hue of pink that has Dream smiling from ear to ear upon noticing it. Dream turns in his chair, to fully face Sapnap and pat his lap, "c'mere," he beckons.

His movements are shy, his legs shuffling a little as he scoots his chair over even closer to simply lift himself a bit and slide from his seat to Dream's lap. In an attempt to shift his weight and not put so much of it on Dream, he keeps his tippy-toes on the ground. Dream notices not much then a minute later, tsking.

"None of that," he scolds gently, wrapping his arms around Sapnap and pulling him closer to his chest, his boyfriend's full weight now on his lap. The ravenette whines, "but-"

Dream is quick to silence him with a ginger kiss, biting his lip a little and rubbing his sides. "You know I love you the way you are, so stop that. Now, we're going upstairs, I'll come and wash dishes later."

"You sure?"

"Positive."

Though Dream knows Sapnap needed a little nudge he's glad there was little resistance to his small moment of hesitance.

Sapnap stands to his feet and holds his hand out for Dream expectantly. Graciously, Dream rests his hand in the other's palm. "You gonna lead the way?"

Sapnap nods, beginning to walk them out of the kitchen and up the stairs.

The entire time Sapnap has a tight grip on Dream’s hand for the sole reason that he felt letting go would make Dream vanish. Dream seemed to notice this, a small smile creeping onto his features as Sapnap opened the door to their shared bedroom.

On a desk in the corner is an array of fidget spinners which belonged to Dream along with some post notes stuck onto them which had a small message written onto each.

The computer they used was there too, a sticky note on it as well, some crappy pick up line scribbled on it. — Sapnap found it endearing that Dream would sometimes write him little messages on the notes, sometimes leaving them his lunch when one was made. Sapnap would even occasionally find a stray one the bathroom mirror, or on the fridge that had a love note written on it, personally those were his favorite. — Their bed was neatly made and surprisingly not such a mess as Dream usually left it, and if that wasn’t shocking then surely the fact that Sapnap was the one who kept it clean was.

Their room was the only one in the whole house Sapnap would clean with no complaints and without even being told.

"What we gon do?" Sapnap asks, stopping a few feet away from the bed, tilting his head to the side. "Well, I may have a surprise for you," Dream replies with a hum.

In milliseconds Sapnap's eyes are sparkling heavily, lips forming an open smile. "Gimme, gimme!"

"You have to sit on the bed and close your eyes." Dream laughs, patting the shorter males head, thinking about how absolutely adorable he is right now.

Sapnap always has his adorable moments in Dreams eyes but in times like these those levels spike and his heart melts like ice cream under the sun from it."Okay, okay, 'm going." Sapnap takes his time to let go of Dreams hand, crawling onto the bed and sitting by the edge, legs over the edge. His eyes reluctantly shut, peeking at Dream once more before closing them completely.

For Sapnap the world when his eyes are closed is weird, it's all pitch black and he can't see anything and sometimes he worries that when he has them closed with Dream that he'll open his eyes and he'll disappear, but he trusts Dream more than anyone. So he obeys, sitting patiently while Dream moves to the desk and opens the first drawer. Sapnap hears some shuffling and he knows Dream is now standing in front of him.

"Can I open dem now,?" he whines.

"Nope, not yet," Dream quips softly.

At the same time Sapnap feels something being pressed onto his nose, then something else on his forehead. It happens again on either of his cheeks, he wants to reach up a hand to touch the spots but he stays still wanting to be good for Dream.

Another minute passes and Sapnap whines again, growing a little impatient. "Can I open now?" The end of his now is dragged out, it seems to be common when he's little and Dream finds it cute.

"Hm, alright. Open your eyes baby."

His eyes open and he's greeted with Dream, kneeling before him so they're almost eye-to-eye. Eyes wide Sapnap blinks, mouth in an o-shape. It's a pleasant sight, his eyes are sparkling even more now. He reaches his hand to touch Dreams cheek where a sticker is; a sticker of a cartoon panda. "Pwetty.."

His finger pokes it giggling, they're stickers littered all over Dream's face. One is on his right cheek, two on his left, 4 on his forehead, and one on the bridge of his nose. Most of them are pandas in different poses but Sapnap also spots a bamboo shoot, a yellow star, a blue one and a small black heart.

"Mhm, and guess what." Dream smiles, at Sapnap, his gaze loving.

"What, what!"

Dream grabs something from the floor, and holds it up; a handheld mirror. He turns it around.

Staring back at Sapnap is his own reflection, his eyes are glossed over and lips formed into a natural smile. Stickers are plastered onto his face, different from dreams aside from a bamboo shoot.

Now he does lift one of his hands to his own face, touching a pink panda sticker on his cheek. "Dey look so pwetty Dweamie."

His words slur more than usual and that's how Dream knows he's really deep. "Yeah?"

Sapnap nods his head up and down, smiling and swinging his legs a little. "Well, you look cute, so I'm glad you think so."

The mirror is set aside and Dream is cupping his cheeks kissing his nose ─ one of the few bare spots on his face.

"Mm," a blush surfaces on Sapnap's cheeks. "Nu uh 'm not!"

"Not true, baby, you're the cutest thing to exist." Dream swipes his thumb across his boyfriend's bottom lip, humming him a soft tune.

Seeing no use in arguing Sapnap huffs, nuzzling his nose up against Dreams, "kiss, kiss," he repeats, earning him a chuckle from Dream. "You want a kiss? But I already gave you one, hun."

Sapnap shakes his head, "lips!"

“What's the magic word?” Dream sing-songs with a teasing smirk on his face. Opposing lips form a frown, and with a sigh Sapnap pipes up, "pwease!"

"That's my good boy." Dream coos to him once again and Sapnap melts at the praise. Dream seems to do it so effortlessly, it's such an amazing feeling to be good for him, the constant validation that he's Dream's good boy always makes him feel high up in the clouds, in heaven.

This is evident by the way Sapnap seems to be zoning out, only refocusing when Dream whispers his name. "Sap, you okay there, lovely?"

Sapnap nods, struggling to make the cogwheels in his brain turn to form words. "Mhm, kin'a spaced off," Sapnap murmurs, leaning into the touch Dream gives him, as he still cups his cheeks. "I could see that." He gives a soft laugh, tracing a small circle at the edge of his lips.

"I know you're regressing right now baby, but make sure to tap me if you end up going to subspace, kay? I need to know if you do so I can take care of you properly."

Sapnap nods his head up and down, fully intaking Dream's words and remembering them, he knew Dream cared  a ton for his well being. "I will, 'm promise."

"You're such a doll, always being so obedient." Dream smiles, pecking his lips once, then again, then a third time.

Sapnap relishes in each and every kiss, wanting more. Dream doesn't fail to give, kissing him again but deeper this time. Their lips move against each others in a passionate kiss, and Sapnap lets out a breathy sigh, opening his mouth for Dream to explore.

The opportunity is taken, Dream cautiously slips his tongue into the cavern of warmth, slightly putting pressure on Sapnap's body to push him backwards onto the bed simultaneously to Dream standing up to tower over the shorter boy who's now laid down on his back against the mattress of the bed

Dream is careful, he kisses Sapnap with passion but it's gentle. It's the kind of kiss that makes Sapnap's insides turn to nothing but mush.

The electric feeling flowing through Sapnaps body doesn't go anywhere, Dream continues to kiss him, biting at his tongue playfully, thumbs circling his cheeks in a rhythmic pattern. What an easy task it would be to simply close his eyes and submit. All the stress from today has washed over him with something new; something better, the feeling of Dream crowding him with love and approval.

Sapnap doesn't know when it happens but there's a hand up his shirt, tracing shapes around his stomach. The touches feel faint enough to be a ghost and fuck, it's really doing things to him. Whines slip from his mouth, needier this time.

Just like that their kiss is over, and Dream is kissing everywhere else on his face in between words, "so pretty," a kiss to his forehead, "handsome," one to a sticker on his left cheek, "my world." The last kiss planted ends up being on his chin.

Sapnap's heart races, he squirms a little murmuring incoherent sentences and tapping Dream's shoulder softly.

Dream takes the sign quickly, smiling softly and caressing his side with the hand that's under his shirt. "I'll bring you back down," The blonde whispers into his ear, nibbling softly.

The fact that Dream's voice sounds so far away annoys Sapnap, he loves hearing his boyfriend's soothing voice. Why is it so far away? He gives a whine of desperation, reaching out to grab whatever he can of Dream.

"Sh, sh, I'm right here," it's still so far though. He feels his hand gripping onto something, he can't tell what it is. "Dweamy, Dweamy," he slurs lowly.

"Right here hunny, you're holding onto my shirt. Just don't let go, you're doin' so well."

Dream purrs to him gently, slowly moving both his arms to wrap around Sapnap and lift him up into his arm while he stands up. Sapnap keeps a tight, knuckle-white grip on his shirt the entire time, scared that Dream really would disappear this time.

Sapnap's eyes shut tight, he holds on for dear life as Dream lifts him up off their bed.  It doesn't last long though, he's no longer holding onto Dreams shirt. Hell, he's not in their room anymore but for once that doesn't feel like such a bad thing.

Sat on a fluffy cloud, everything else seems distant. In his hand is nothing but a blanket seemingly as soft as the cloud he resided on. His head is so foggy, he's so sleepy too, he could simply close his eyes and drift off.

Tempting as it was, something interfered with his train of thoughts. A voice.

It sounded familiar, he tries to recall who it belongs to which only sends him into a daze again. The voice gets louder, closer to him in fact.

"Baby, I need to make sure you stay with me, earth to Sap."

The words begin to grow farther away again at the end.

Who's talking again? Too much brain power , he thinks and yawns, closing his eyes and laying back on the cloud. Above him the sky goes on forever, a blue that entrances him really. A breeze comes by and lulls him further into wanting to rest, he feels a touch on his shoulder, but nothing’s there so he simply puts the blame on the wind.

“Angel, you’re so pretty for me, I need you to know that.” A voice coos and Sapnap huffs, rolling over, sleep is easier to give into. He shakes his head involuntarily feeling another touch ghost across his back.

A shiver runs down his spine from it, the voice is tempting too but, sleep. Sleep, sleep, he thinks, closing his eyes.

Just as his body seems to relax into slumber the voice sounds incredibly close. “ Pandas , honey,” a kiss right on the nape of his neck, “i know you want to be a good boy for me, and you are so, so good. Magnificent, amazing, adorable, my everything."

For a second Sapnap is frozen then he blinks, snapping out of the trance he was in. The first thing he took notice of was that he was now nestled in Dreams lap, they were sitting on the bed with Dream's arms draped around him protectively.

"You with me now, sweetie?"

Sapnap nods. "Mhm, sowy."

"Don't apologize, it's alright,” he smiles at Sapnap before adding on, “it wasn’t as hard to get you back down this time.” he hums tilting his head to the side while petting Sapnap’s hair.

“You know, you were so amazing Sap.”

“Mmm, you sure ‘m didn’t cause you ‘ny trouble?” Sapnap questions hesitantly, biting his lip nervously.

Dream nods, “I’m sure hunny. You did no such thing, in fact you were the opposite. I always love taking care of you and kissing you and making sure you know how much I love you.”

The blush is back on Sapnap's cheeks, faint and barely noticeable. A question is whispered so softly that Dream barely catches it.

"Do you weally?"

Dream nods enthusiastically, kissing his nose again, "of course! and it's no problem if it's for you." Sapnap shuffles around a bit hearing that, nodding his head.

"Love you s’much." Sapnap exclaims confidently, tilting up his chin to stare Dream in the eyes when he says it.

Dream seems to be relieved that his subdrop hasn't gone terribly like other times. For Sapnap to tell him he loved him like that simply made him euphoric inside.

"I love you too, more than anything in the entire world," Dream responds, with a small smile curving the edges of his lips.

With a little laugh Sapnap nods his head up and down excitedly, cheeks flushed and adorned with stickers. It’s a splendid look on him really, Dream thinks of how much of a genius he is before hearing Sapnap yawn.

“Are you sleepy?”

“Only a little bit, don’ wanna sleep yet.” Sapnap shakes his head in disapproval, a frown crossing his features.

“Then, what do you suppose we do until then?” Dream asks, tracing shapes on Sapnap’s back with a hand.

“Cuddle!”

“You don’t want to take the stickers off?”

“Nope, they’re s’ pretty, wan’ keep ‘em on, you have to too!”

Dream nods, complying easily, “alright, I will. Climb under the covers for cuddle time.” Dream instructs to which Sapnap does, slinking off his lap and higher onto the bed, grabbing a large blanket and covering himself with it.

Not long after Dream joins him, scooting close and wrapping his arms around the other protectively.

Sapnap wiggles closer, a wide smile on his face as he faces Dream.

"Get some sleep now hunny, and remember that wherever you have a bad day you can always count on me."

"Mhm!"

Nodding his head Sapnap grins widely, toes curling and uncurling in a form of distraction to himself.

For the next thirty minutes Dream tells Sapnap about his day, and how much he'd wanted to be home earlier. The ravenette listens diligently, eyes fluttering open and shut every few minutes from fatigue. As much as he could listen to Dream for hours his body seems to refuse. With sleepiness seeping into his eyelids and body he closed his eyes, holding onto Dream tightly. The other has finished his small rant, now simply humming a lullaby that Sapnap couldn't remember the name of.

It's not something he dwells on, "nini time," he mutters getting an immediate response from Dream, "sleep tight baby, I'll be here the whole time, holding you tight."

"M'kay! Love….you." He drags out the last half when saying love, yawning at the end and shutting his eyes, ready to fall asleep after such a long, eventful day.

Dream smiles, hand reaching up to stroke Sapnap's head, he keeps in mind to buy more stickers the next time he's at the store, praying they'll have similar stickers to the ones he bought today, he hopes that it doesn't pass by him to write it down as a reminder, since he can be quite forgetful.

With a kiss to a large Panda sticker on Sapnap's forehead, he closes his eyes as well, holding his lover close.

"Night, Pandas, I love you."

His words linger in the air, settling over the both of them easily as a comfort when Sapnap mumbles back. “Love you more,” he says it drowsily, hoping Dream heard him. Sapnap knows he has by the way he giggles, “yeah, yeah, sleep now silly.”

Sapnap nods, pressing closer to Dream and yawning, a smile creeping onto his face.

As long as he has Dream he knows that even on his bad days he won’t feel so terrible.

Notes:
