Summary
One lazy afternoon Ranpo is called to the scene of a crime way close to home. It’s only him and Dazai, with a man on the other end of a phone call threatening to end Atsushi’s life should Ranpo get involved with whatever crime he’s planning to commit.
Ranpo doesn’t take kindly to people taking his things, including his pet, and he’s going to make damn sure everyone knows it after he’s done.

Dazatsu week 2023 day 5: Mission
"You have to say what she wants to hear." Atsushi explains further, sinking into his newfound role. "That's how you seduce someone, ri-right? You're gonna have to use your people skills to read her."
"Oh, you mean like-" Briefly humming in contemplation, Dazai slips into character immediately within a millisecond- which is honestly terrifying- forcing him into the same position as before against the wall.
"You were amazing on the battlefield today. Good job, Atsushi-kun~" Tone husky, the corners of his mouth turns upward knowingly. "I'm so proud of you~"
Atsushi forgot how to breathe for a moment under his cheeky humorous gaze.
Basically, Atsushi tries giving Dazai pointers on the art of seduction for his mission and it backfires on him lmao I'm so tired

Atsushi was someone who didn't know how to control himself and someone who's been controlled his entire life. Once given that control, he was dangerous. Dangerous for himself.
He was nothing but a ticking time bomb, waiting, aching to explode. And as time ticked on, as it moved, Atsushi became nothing short of an overachiever, to a suicidal level. He'd throw himself off a building to save someone, he'd take a bullet for a witness and he had endangered himself so many times and broke under the pressure of his cases and missions to the point of no return.
Frequent near death experiences, broken bones, mauled flesh, it all made Dazai annoyed and almost worried.
So, knowing that the control was the issue, he decided he'd take the strings tied loosely around the tiger's limbs and become a puppeteer once again, only this time for the better.
Dominant and submissive therapy. It was something he never would've thought of in the past but something that Atsushi needed.
He needed to let go. Let go of himself and have someone to catch him amidst his fall.

Today was supposed to be a normal day of exploring the apartment Chuuya-san just gave them–complete with furniture, food, electronics, and a closet full of clothes–where Atsushi found himself staring with a gaping mouth, wide eyes, and scent going haywire.
Behind expensive high quality work clothes, lounge wear, casual clothes, tucked in the very back was something shiny, delicate, and fragile.
What, may you ask, was in the back of the wardrobe?
One word.
Lingerie.
(Or: Atsushi doesn’t know why the most dangerous alpha of Yokohama is spoiling him to oblivion, but he sure as hell isn’t gonna tell him to stop!)

Summary
Atsushi never knew himself to be anything more than just a blind useless waste of space within the village he grew up in. iIt was all he knew. the only thing that made sense to him in a dark, lonely world void of color.
Who would've thought meeting a yokai would finally bring life to the world he once thought of as cold and miserable?
(Or: A story in which Atsushi is more than just a blind human, but one who can 'see' Yokai. This saves him from a terrible fate in different universes.)
