It had been a LONG-ASS day for Sunny, having to stay late at school for his study group. Evidently, the pressure of being 4 years late into school was starting to catch up with him.
He unlocked the door expecting to be able to just flop onto the couch but instead was greeted by Aubrey with a cheeky grin on her face.
"What have you done now," Sunny asked, knowing that expression usually meant trouble.
"Nothing, in fact, quite the opposite."
"That's exactly what I was aski-"
"Shush. Sit on the couch." Aubrey said, grabbing him by the shoulders and steering him to the couch and sitting him down.
She'd better not be playing a prank on me or something. Sunny thought, All the stress had not got him in the joking mood.
"Soooooo. I've been watching massage tutorials on youtube."
This can only end well.
"And I thought you've been looking stressed recently... With your exams and stuff coming up..."
Sunny felt Aubrey's hands on his back and felt a spark of electricity down his spine. She wasn't wrong about the stress, but couldn’t they just cuddle or something?
"Just... Don't break my neck."
"Pffft. If I wanted to do that I would’ve done that a long time ago."
Sunny wasn't sure if she was joking or not. Probably better if he didn’t ask.
"Ok, take off your shirt."
"Why?"
"So I can see where I’m working? And, yannoo... You look hot shirtless?"
Sunny blushed and complied.
"Ok... I'll start at your shoulders and work my way down."
"Be gentle."
"I will. Jeez..."
Aubrey gripped Sunny's shoulders and rubbed her thumbs into the back of them.
It felt nice, sure, but she hadn't exactly hit the right pla-
And then it was like a switch had flipped and all his higher brain functions had been turned off.
"Huh. You're super tense. So many knots in your back!"
"Hauhhhhhhhaaaaa..."
"Sunny?"
"stopn't"
Aubrey kept going with a smug smile on her face, knowing she was making Sunny feel better made her feel better.
Sunny had never had a massage before, ever. It felt like his arms were falling off and into the abyss, and his shoulders were putty. He did not want this feeling to end any time soon.
And she stopped.
"Ok, Lie down on the couch, face down."
It took a moment for Sunny to realize what Aubrey was asking, and he groggily complied and flopped on the couch.
He felt Aubrey's hands press into his back again and then came an eruption of cracks, snaps and pops from his spine.
"Holy shit, do you ever stand up straight?"
Sunny just moaned out a "uhhhnmmmbnnnnnn."
Aubrey started kneading her fists into his back, and it was as if Sunny started to transcend.
He started seeing colours he didn't know exist and threaded the boundary between the real world and nirvana, or the planet Xenu or something.
"Sunny?"
The colours stopped flashing and he snapped back into reality.
"My hands are tired. You can put your shirt back on now."
She planted a kiss on his forehead, but he was too out of it to even blush.
"oh my god."
"Huh?"
"I think I got high off of that massage."
Aubrey laughed.
"That good, huh? I'll just have to do it more often then."
"You have the hands for it... Small and delicate but strong..."
Sunny stood up and could barely feel his legs.
"I think I’m just gonna go lay down until dinner. Can we just order pizza or something?"
"Hell yeah, pizza night."
The two went about the rest of the night with Sunny in a considerably better mood than before, and with a wider range of motion too.
