You missed me?

Summary:

The Lady finally visits the Signal Tower on her own, and Thin Man will not let her live it down.

Notes:

This, I had an idea for so here it is. I hope you enjoy!
Mono is at the School and Six is at the Maw when this is happening. This is like a domestic AU if you haven't already guessed.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

The Thin Man did not expect this.

When he awoke in his chair like he always did so he could perform his annual duties as The Broadcaster, he expected a normal day. What he didn't expect was to hear a knock on the door of the Tower, and when he warped down to open it, lo and behold it was The Lady with her arms crossed. Thin Man raised an eyebrow at her presence. "Why are you here?" He asked. "Don't get me wrong, I love me too but-"

The Lady smacked him lightly on the arm as he chuckled. "Six forgot something here, and since I would rather she not throw another tantrum by terrorizing my staff or myself, I've come to get it." She shoved past Thin Man to get inside the tower. He sighed and followed after her, the tall door closing behind them.

"So what did she misplace?" Thin Man asked. "A toy? A new sash you had given her?"

"None of those things." The Lady said, looking around the makeshift home Thin Man had made for himself and Mono. "She said I'll know what it is when I see it." Thin Man rolled his eyes and warped to the kitchen, quickly making a cup of tea. "Oh, while your at it make me one as well." The Lady called out from her place in the dining room. Thin Man grumbled something about how difficult women were and The Lady chuckled at that.

Thin Man soon came back with two cups of tea in his hands. He handed one to The Lady and sat down next to her as she sipped it slowly. "The tea is subpar, but I'll allow it." The Lady sniffed, and Thin Man rolled his eyes as he drank from his own cup.

They both sat in silence for a little bit, awkwardly sitting next to each other until The Lady said, "So, how have you been Mono?"

Thin Man almost spat out his drink out of surprise. "Why are you asking me that?"

The Lady scoffed as if offended. "What, I can't ask you how you are doing anymore?! Ugh, so crass!" She turned away from him and continued drinking her tea.

Thin Man looked at The Lady closely. "You aren't really looking for Six's lost toy are you?"

The Lady froze, but didn't answer. Thin Man smirked at her flustered state. "Six didn't really leave anything here did she?"

The Lady scoffed loudly but still refused to look at him. "Oh please! You know how clumsy that child is! I wouldn't be surprised if she left more than half of the stuff I gave her here!"

Thin Man leaned against The Lady and smiled as wide as his deformed face would allow him. "Oh, don't worry, I know that you miss me so much~" He could practically feel the blush coming from her face. "I won't tell anyone about how much you lo-"

Thin Man sputtered as The Lady threw the rest of her tea in his face. He coughed as he tried to wipe the liquid from his eyes and felt The Lady shoot up from her seat. "Ugh, I can never have a conversation with you!" She shouted, storming out as fast as she could.

Thin Man looked at her as she left the room and smiled. "You didn't deny it!" He sang to her as she left.

The Lady groaned. If the Thin Man wasn't so damn nice and attractive  sweet she would have probably eaten him a long time ago.
