Summary
An abundance of legends hover within the territory of the Pale City, either grumbled among the sooty haze of fires as voyagers take pause from their hunts or set in the worn etchings carved into walls by little travelers. It can be a region worth trespassing for the scarce goods, or the final resting grounds for careless denizen. Those that evade the serenade of the Signal Tower’s call may wander the roads at their discretion, but deserted alleys and empty rooms tend to harbor unnamed dangers. Children especially must take care and be wary of the world they inhabit, be it doing the most basic of chores for survival, foraging for food, exploring new areas, or delving into the shallowest rest. The Nowhere despises all that evade the natural laws.

Summary
As the Signal Tower burns its brightest above the Pale City, shadows cower into nonexistence beneath pillars unwavering against the blistering light.
The Thin Man struggles with the fragments that exist beyond the Tower, and tries to recall if there was something more in his life that was not ripped away. The child will always be there, to watch and wait for the moment when he cracks under the demand of something that is far beyond his power and capacity.

Summary
By some unfathomable skip in a repetitious cycles, the dreaded Broadcaster managed to acquire the one essential component the Tower needed to maintain its perpetuating loop.
His younger self.
Though committing to the task and sufficing goals are two different capacities, he finds ways to manage the time and curb the insatiable urge of a child eager to menace him at every turn. Children of the dying City are independent, capable of subsisting in isolation, and acquiring their own nourishment. Despite such a caveat, children are children to the core, and they will find roundabout ways to remind others of this ongoing issue. It is unfortunate that like the Thin Man's quest to discover the origins of the Tower's ascension, literature of children and their presence in the world have all but been erased.

Summary
They made it. They made it past Pale City. Finally, just when Mono felt as though his fate had been sealed… but it was only a dream. Six didn’t hate him. He wasn’t left isolated in a room. And the toxic wastes of the world were nearly behind… So what was next?
Mono must learn to be an actual friend, with the help of The Reflection. He must learn how to care, listen, help, treat, and soothe his only companion. Otherwise, who knows whether the dream was a nightmare, a self fulfilling prophecy… or reality?(Trigger/Content Warning for… just creepy behavior directed towards people. It isn’t supposed to be read as intimate and it never goes to that point, but if you ever feel uncomfortable reading, you’re free to click away)
EDIT:This fic is going to be announced abandoned, however I’m still leaving it here for history’s sake. There’s still three chapters in this bad boy… although I don’t believe the story is worth finishing. I’m not pleased with how I handled the story and it felt forced to come up with ideas for chapters since my outline never complete. If I ever return, it’ll probably be in the form of a rewrite, possibly of both this and Six Sins. For now, here lies Mono’s Muse.
