Summary
Depressed and alone, Clarke wonders what in her life brought her to the point of living alone in a small town, on the other side of the country to her friends. She always thought she was fine on her own, sure she’s a hot mess, but that’s the way she likes it. Until one day, she doesn’t want to be alone anymore, her work colleagues don’t like her, and the people on her street judge her - especially her grumpy neighbour, Bellamy. So after a short deliberation and what was possibly a moment of madness, she goes to a dog shelter and chooses—or rather gets chosen by—a Goldendoodle called Buddy. Clarke’s now thrown into a life she didn’t anticipate, full of laughter and dog cuddles even on her darkest days.What she really didn’t expect was for her new dog to fall in love with her neighbour, either.
