Work Text:

Item #: SCP- 7141 Golden orchard

Object Class: Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: Only personnel of security clearance 3 or higher can access SCP – 7141 without submitting a formal request. SCP – 7141 is contained in the centre of Site 48. Incidents of SCP – 7141 – 1A are to be collected and stored.

Description: SCP – 7141 is a group of anomalous trees covering an area with a radius of ## meters. All individual trees grow and photosynthesis at the expected rate for apple trees in the middle of spring, although neither light nor carbon dioxide seems to be required for them to survive and grow as the trees continue to thrive when in a sealed vacuum. They seem impervious to harm and all attempts to damage or prevent the growth of instances of SCP – 7141 have been unsuccessful.

During the week between 1 - #### instances of SCP 7141 – 1A form. SCP – 7141 – 1A are large apples that have the appearance of gold although no actual gold has been found in them. SCP – 7141 – 1A is safe for human consumption and, upon being eaten, subjects have been observed to be physically stronger and more resilient to damage as well as healing from minor injuries. The taste of SCP 7141 – 1A is described as metallic, overly sweet and it is noted as having a surprisingly soft interior and “crunchable” exterior.

Addendum: SCP – 7141 – 1A was put through SCP 914 on the fine setting, outputting SCP – 7141 – 1B. SCP – 7141 – 1B is very similar in appearance to SCP – 7141 – 1A although its effects are significantly increased. SCP – 7141 – 1B, when consumed in moderate amounts, can heal missing limbs, blindness, or scarring. It can also render the consumer immune to most forms of damage including fire, drowning, slicing and broken bones. SCP – 7141 – 1B is currently stored in small amounts and liquidized form. It is used by Field team 72 the “Golden Boys”/ “The Dream Team”
