Wounded both mentally and physically, with a body changed without his knowledge or permission, Grian finally escapes the Watchers. He's not sure how he managed, but he did, and now he's stuck in a cave deep underground with no clue how he got there and no clue how to get out. He's an avian - or at least, he used to be - a creature of the sky, and he's not doing well in a tight, cramped cave.

I'm a fan of the "Humans are Weird" posts, and decided to do a Boreal Trio fic with the concept of humans being tiny compared to aliens. Summary
Technoblade spends his nights tearing apart Greater Essempi as Ichor, one of the most widely feared villains. Against all odds, he always manages to escape death and capture. But what will he do when the heroes start finding leads on who he is? According to Chat, infiltrate their headquarters. Reluctantly, because Chat will riot if he doesn’t, Techno finds a job with the heroes as a secretary and buckles down to learn their secrets. He finds a horribly corrupt system, just as he expected but the people… aren’t. As he gets to know them, he finds himself getting attached to the heroes.

Summary
What is a hero, exactly? Is it some person in a fancy outfit? Is it someone who tries their best to help others? Is it someone who takes down "bad guys"? Definitions differ from person-to-person.
Technoblade doesn't know exactly what a hero is or how to be one, but he's doing his best with what he has. He just wants to keep his family safe, and society is trying to convince him that the only way to do that is by becoming a Hero and saving everybody. Techno isn't too sure about that, but he likes the idea of being able to take down places like the Arena - the place he was enslaved for most of his life. He thought becoming a hero would help him reach his goal faster than vigilantism, but more threats start coming at him and his family from all angles - and not even from the expected angles.

Summary
Techno slammed his fists against the transparent wall of his prison, trying his best to break it down. His captors backed up, whistling anxiously to each other.
He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.

Definitely one of my all-time favorite fics! I love the humans are space orcs trope, and Techno being the human in this is very fitting! Normally everyone has Tommy as the human, which is great, but I will forever adore human!Techno in space!

This is seriously underrated! I know most people seem to like romance focused fics, but this one is so much MORE. It feels like it could be published as an actual book. The twist was so beautifully foreshadowed, but also something that I never would have been able to guess. All-in-all, a 10/10 fic that I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of hermitcraft!

Summary
When Hari Potter is seven years old, the kid from Number 3 Privet Drive is caught with a secret pet snake that sends his mother into a fury. She is incensed by the abomination that he’s hidden in her home for so long, and she promptly releases the beast outside. Hari is outside pruning Aunt Petunia’s rose bushes when this occurs, sweating and half-delirious underneath the sweltering summer sun. He, understandably, thinks that he's hallucinating when a snake comes up to him and starts talking.
This young ball python has felt the call of a speaker’s magic ever since she was brought to Little Whinging. The second that she is freed, she seeks out the young speaker with magic that warms her to her bones, and she refuses to be separated from him no matter what.
She is the first serpent to claim Hari Potter as her own, but she is not the last. And a Hari Potter that is raised by snakes is a very different Hari Potter indeed.

This is so fucking good, I'm so glad I gave it a chance despite the series not being completed. I love the lack of bashing (other than Dumbledore, obviously), and I love Hari. His name, his mannerisms, his familiars, everything. I also love the Dursley redemption, especially how they actively regret how they treated him and are putting in the effort to be better.
The fact that everything that happens isn't wildly unlikely is also lovely. Like, yeah, Hari is OP, but he's still a kid who wants people to like him. I could honestly rant about this for days. I can't wait for this series to continue to update, especially with all the setup for major plot points (like Nyx, my beloved). -
