Chapter Text
Ren Amamiya had been charged unfairly for a crime he didn’t commit as a result he has been forced to leave his home town of Inaba and his family behind for a probation period in Tokyo.
He had to move into a cafe owned by a grumpy old man known as Sojiro Sakura. His first day of school was hectic though, he first forgot to bring an umbrella, he then makes a friend with someone who looks to be a delinquent named Ryuji Sakamato, then gets trapped in some castle where one of the teachers had claimed they were king of (while not really being dressed like one), he then gained some kind of magic power and fought monsters till they found a talking cat monster with the same power who helped them escape only to find that they had missed half of their day of school causing them to get in trouble and someone had leaked his criminal record to the school.
Talk about a first day.
Ren had decided to try and relax at the library he always liked to read in silence every once and a while despite being the social butterfly he was. When he walked into the library he was greeted by a lone girl studying at full concentration with a mountain of books next to her, he decided it’d be best to leaver her be. When he walked in he also heard the onslaught of rumours that students where saying:
“That’s him right the criminal?”
“I can’t believe they let him in here”
“I heard that he beat someone with a pipe”
“Really? I heard that he sold drugs at his old school”
Ren decided to get a book quickly and get out. As he was looking through the books something or rather someone caught his eye.
“It can’t be” he thought to himself.
He turned to see a student with familiar slicked back blue hair looking through the book shelf.
“Naofumi!?” Ren asked the student. The student turned his red eyes meeting Rens silvery eyes, Rens face lit up he’d recognise those eyes anywhere.
“Naofumi! It is you!” Ren hugged him Naofumi stayed quiet.
“What’s it been? 4 years? I can’t believe that the school I transferred to is the same one as yours, finally something good out of today” Ren disengaged the hug only to be met with a scowl from Naofumi, it cause Ren to reel back a bit.
“Naofumi?” Ren questioned. Without a word Naofumi walked right past Ren and checked out his book and left. Ren was left dumbfounded by what just happened but rumours started up again Ren couldn’t take much more so he ran out of the library and up to the roof he met Ryuji and they talked about what happened with the castle today, they tried their best to pass it off as a dream but found it hard to do so.
Meanwhile Naofumi was writing in his notebook.
The Amamiya Case:
Ren amamiya has been convicted of assault police files are real albeit some details are fuzzy must investigate further:
day 1: Target showed up half a day late for school this is out of character for Amamiya he is usually one of the first in class, he also had company: Ryuji Sakamato known as a delinquent at school but as far as I’ve seen he is an alright guy. Ren approached me at the library today talking to him is a no go for now must avoid if possible.
“I’ll find out the truth Ren, no matter how long it takes” Naofumi closed his notebook and put it away.
