Summary
Owen Franklin, Gaudet, and Gill Montero meet on the Appalachian Trail, become best friends, fall in love, and become a polyamorous triad. This is a polyamorous romance novel with a focus on three main characters and the sights, history, wilderness, and adventure of the Appalachian Trail.
Owen Franklin trained to get into the best shape of his life so he could hike the Appalachian Trail with his best friend. However, they split up after a terrible argument. Owen decides to hike the trail by himself. Then he meets Gill and Gaudet, and his plan to hike the trail alone is abandoned.
Gaudet works hard, graduated Valedictorian at his high school, and just got outed as gay by his pastor. After facing three months of intervention, Gaudet escapes next door to the Appalachian Trail and surrenders himself to the goodwill of strangers.
Gill Montero never felt 100% comfortable in his own skin once he hit puberty. It’s only when he participates in his first Drag King competition that he starts to truly explore his gender identity. He takes a year off from school after receiving his Bachelor's degree to explore his identity and to train for a Thru-Hike of the Appalachian Trail.
