Summary
Berk is where Kara found a new family, a second chance, and her dragon, Balder. Her life would be fairly idyllic if the treatment and hunting of dragons didn't threaten everything she held dear. There's just one thing to do; Kara will have to enter and win the annual Tribe Tournament so she can get a place on the council and keep Balder safe. It's a foolproof plan with only one thing in her way: Lena Luthor, youngest child of the head of Thorul, the most dangerous clan to dragons and therefore Balder. Whatever else happens, she can't let Lena win. But that ends up being a bit more difficult than she'd first envisioned.

Unexpected and really great, lots of fun to read.
