Summary
Dean Winchester was the head muscle and number two in charge of the most prominent and prolific crime syndicate in the area. His name sparked fear, and his presence was enough to make most cower. So for him to be in a police station, and without a troop of lawyers flitting around him, was probably pretty shocking. But for once, he was here on his own business, not the Family’s.
The family in question, the Morningstar empire, were exactly what you’d expect them to be. White collar crimes backed with violent tendencies. They were rich, powerful, and untouchable. Others called them the “mob” but Dean just called them “The Family” and it was the only business he had ever known. Dean liked to call his position “enforcement,” but really, he was the face of their business. He was in charge of making sure that the money continued to flow in from debts being paid, for fear of Dean coming knocking on their door. He was the Family’s protector, their soldier. And he was very, very good at his job.
