Summary
By now he couldn’t remember why he’d kissed Hannibal, or followed him to bed. He didn’t remember what had been special about that night that he’d decided he wasn’t angry anymore. He didn’t remember what had broken his resolve. He just remembered the night they’d had afterwards, and the way he’d fallen asleep more easily in Hannibal’s arms than he ever had before. He remembered the way that Hannibal was still awake when he’d drifted off, whispering soft phrases that Will was sure were poetic but had simply lulled him to sleep.
