Chapter Text
“Tommy!”
The boy glanced behind him, laughing as his brother chased him around the barn.
“You’re never going to catch me, Wilbur-“
Tommy was cut off as he ran into something, causing him to crash to the ground. He clutched his nose and looked up, seeing his pink haired brother.
“What the hell, Techno!” Tommy shouted.
“You ran into me,” Techno said, “And why aren’t you feeding the chickens?”
“It’s all Wilbur’s fault, he poured all their food on me and the bloody chickens attacked me!” Tommy said, pointing at Wilbur, “And then he started chasing me around with a rake!”
Wilbur walked up to Techno, draping his arm over his shoulder as he held a rake in his hand, “I did no such thing.”
Techno sighed, walking towards his horse, “I have no time to deal with you two, the harvest is coming up and there’s a lot to do.”
Tommy pouted and sat on a pile of hay, pushing his blonde hair out of his face as Wilbur helped Techno with his horse.
“Carl and I are heading into town, you better be working when I get back,” Techno said, patting his horse, “If dad needs help with anything, do it.”
He quickly climbed onto Carl and trotted out of the barn.
“He likes that horse more than us,” Tommy complained.
“Carl is rather spectacular,” Wilbur nodded as they carried buckets of water towards the livestock.
Tommy rolled his eyes, “Sure.”

“Come on, Ranboo,” Techno said, “Help me out here.”
The shop-owner rubbed his neck, “Techno, you know business is rough right now-“
“-please,” Techno said, holding out a few of his valuables, “You can at least give me something for these.”
Ranboo sighed, grabbing them before handing him a little sack of money, “That’s all I can do for you.”
Techno nodded, “This’ll be enough, thank you.”
He quickly hurried out of the shop and hopped onto Carl before galloping out of town.
It was almost sundown when he finally reached the plantation, slowly walking down towards the house.
Techno opened the door, the smell of pork reaching his nose. He walked inside seeing his mother setting up dinner, “I’m back.”
The woman turned and smiled, “Hello, Techno. Tommy, Wilbur, and Phil are in the living room.”
Techno nodded and travelled through the house, seeing Wilbur and Tommy playing jacks on the floor, while Phil read the paper on a chair.
“Hey Techno,” Phil smiled, “How was town?”
The boy took a seat next to Wilbur, letting him braid his long hair, “I saw Mr. Bad and Skeppy by the church, they were talking about the upcoming festival.”
Tommy looked at them excitedly, “Can we go to the festival this year?!”
Phil shrugged, “We could if we finish harvesting all the crops.”
Tommy turned to Wilbur, “We must finish the harvest by the end of the week.”
Wilbur laughed, “Now you’re determined.”
“Well, of course!” Tommy shouted, “I hear about the festival every year from Tubbo! There’s a load of women over there!”
Phil chuckled, “Is women all you think of?”
“Oh no, good sir, I’m the only thing women ever think of, they all flock to me,” Tommy said, showing his nonexistent muscles.
“Oh, I’m sure they do,” Techno said, sarcasm weaved into his words.
Tommy grinned before walking out of the room, “Mother! I must wear my best outfit for the festival, I have to be irresistible!”
Wilbur watched as his brother yelled stupid demands, “He’s going to scare off all the females.”
Techno shrugged, “Probably.”
Phil suddenly stood up, “I can guess dinners almost ready, come on boys.”
“One second,” Wilbur muttered as he quickly tied the end of Technos braid, “There, perfect.”
The two boys stood up and walked into the dining room, seeing a table full of pork and potatoes. Tommy already stuffing his face as he mumbled about the festival to their mother, who was listening with a smile on her face.
“Hello, Kristin” Phil said, kissing his wife’s cheek before taking a seat, “Food looks amazing as ever.”
“It’s delicious,” Tommy said, a big piece of pork in his mouth.
“Close your mouth,” Techno said as he served himself some mashed potatoes.
Tommy stuck out his tongue and their mother laughed, “Be nice, Tommy.”
Wilbur quickly finished his plate and burped, “May I be excused?”
“Why in such a rush, Wil?” Phil asked.
“I need to continue writing,” Wilbur said urgently, “May I be excused?”
Kristin nodded, “Go on ahead, clean your plate first though.”
Wilbur smiled and quickly cleaned his plate before disappearing up the stairs.
“Wilbur is so smart, he’s going to do great things,” Kristin smiled, “He could be a teacher for all we know.”
“Yeah, but what about me?” Tommy said, “I’ll do greater things than him!”
His mother ruffled his hair, “You’ll do amazing things, too, Tommy.”
The boy grinned before finishing up, walking up to his room, leaving Techno and their parents.
“So, what did you do in town, Techno?” Phil asked.
Techno looked up from his food, “I got some extra money, and I bought some tools to fix the fences.”
Phil paused, “You didn’t have to, I would’ve gotten us some.”
“It’s fine, you’ve been busy preparing for the harvest,” Techno said as he stood up, cleaning his plate, “And it was nice going into town.”
Phil laughed, “How was I so lucky to end up with you Techno?”
He hugged his son before walking out of the room, Kristin cleaning the table. Techno helped her before heading upstairs, seeing what his brothers were up to.
He walked down the hall, opening the door to his brother’s room, to see Wilbur writing at his desk, while Tommy tried on different clothes.
“Hey Techno, do you think I should wear this to the festival?” Tommy called, staring at himself in the mirror.
“No.”
Tommy groaned and plopped onto his bed, “How am I going to get girls if I don’t even have a good outfit?!”
Wilbur sighed, “Just wear your normal clothes, you’ll look fine in anything.”
Techno nodded, agreeing with Wilbur as he sat next to Tommy, “Yeah, what he said.”
“Fine, now get the hell out of my bed, I need to get a good nights rest before the harvest tomorrow,” Tommy said, pushing Techno off of his bed.
Techno laughed and stood up, walking towards the door, “Don’t stay up to late, Wilbur.”
The brown-haired brother nodded and Techno closed the door, heading to his room.
He entered his room, closing the door behind him, glancing at the picture of him and his family that was sitting on his desk. Techno smiled before pulling out the small amount of money left from his spending and tossed it into a drawer.
He slowly changed and slid under his covers, blowing out the candle that sat on his nightstand.
The whole house was dark, filled with the quiet snores of the Sleepy Boi family. The family that will face troubles like no other
