“Let’s go for a fly.” Marianne insisted.
Remy let out a long sigh. “No, I’m not feeling it.”
“Pleeasse.” Marianne begged giving the demon her most adorable puppy dog eyes.
Remy glanced over and reluctantly summoned her wings. “You know most people summon demon to kill someone or to gain power not to fly around.” She grumbled.
“Well first...” Marianne huffs. “I’m not like most people, and second, I don’t know what you’re complaining about you’re excited.”
“What.” Remy sputtered a blush forming in her cheeks.
Marianne points to the black velvety Bat wings that are protruding from Remy’s back. “Your wings flair and flutter when you’re excited. It’s super adorable.”
“Whatever, just come here.” Remy grumbles before grabbing Marianne and pulling her into a tight hug. “Let’s just go.”
Marianne warps her arms around the Remy’s waist before she leaps out of the window. The two of them begging to fall before Remy spreads her wings and the pair rockets upward into the night sky.
As they levelled off Marianne let out a whoop of excitement as the two of them began to cruise along the night sky. As they soar around the neighborhood Remy looks forward and a small smile crosses her lips.
“Hey I guess this isn’t so bad.” She remarks.
“What was that Remy.” Marianne cooed before swabbing her left ear with her pink. “I’m right, and you should stop being such a grouch all the time.”
Remy rolled her eyes “K first of all I’m a demon we are grouches by default, and second if you didn’t want to fly all the time I would be more acquirable”
Marianne chuckled “Well can you really blame me who would pass up the chance to enjoy this view and your company.”
“Flatter,” Remy mumbles into Marianne’s hair as she pulls her closer.
“Doesn’t make it any less true.” Marianne insists giving Remy’s arm a gentle pat.
The two of them continue to fly high around the neighbourhood and converse until the first pinpricks of sunlight peek over the horizon.
“All right that’s enough fun for now. Let’s get you back home.” Remy motions as she shifts directions and flies back towards their apartment balcony.
The two of them gently land on the balcony before heading inside. As she steps inside Remy’s wings wrap themselves around her before vanishing into mist covering her in a shimmering black veil.
“This is my favourite part.” Marianne remarks as she leans against the wall watching the whole process.
“What my wings disappearing.” Remy snorts.
“No this part.” Marianne continues walking towards the demon before pulling of her shirt to reveal an intricate tattoo of two bat wings.
Remy lets out a laugh as Marianne traces along the outline of the tattoo. “You are so weird most people love the flying or the bit of magic released when I veil my wings. But only you could love the veil itself.”
“Yeah, well I’m not like most people. Plus, the veil is cool and you know it. I mean it looks like any old tattoo, but it still feels like your wings.” Marianne replies as she runs her fingers up and down the surface of the tattoo
Remy raises her hands in surrender. “Fair enough. Now if you're done feeling my wings up I would really like to go to bed.”
Marianne gives her a pout, and Remy shakes her head before pulling at her wrist and walking to the bedroom. “Come on, you can continue this nonsense in bed.”
