Chapter 1: Ad astra per aspera!

Chapter Text

First, some poetry. Because poems are cooler than bowties, at least in my opinion (but not cooler than fezzes. Nothing is cooler than a fez). *clears throat*

There once was a girl who spent too much time reading

Sometimes she'd worry her eyes would start bleeding-

No, no, wait, that's not it. A bit too morbid for starting off a story. Maybe something more mysterious...

Deep in the woods, there lies a statue

Quietly  he sits, waiting

Unsure about many things, just like me or you

Wonders where all the time went

Wonders what went wrong

Wonders why he's so content

Wonders about a certain song-

Hmm, no, that isn't quite right either. Poetry is hard, if you didn't know. Perhaps I'll just say that this is a book that contains a lot of short stories about characters we know and love. Some of them will involve old men crying, or a pair of kids laughing, or a monster trying to eat a boat, or a demon regretting his life choices. Some will be heartwrenching, some will be hilarious, and none will be canon. (Alex Hirsch is a much better writer than I am, spoiler alert.) Many will not make a whole lot of sense, and the ones near the end will probably be more well-written than the ones at the beginning. There will be occasional codes, and even more occasional crossovers (or is that the other way around?) and only one thing is for certain:

This is a collection of short stories about Gravity Falls. Also The Owl House. I swear I don’t have a say in this, my brain just does what it wants.

I hope you enjoy at least one or two of my mini-stories, since I certainly enjoy writing them. And Bill enjoys making fun of them

Without further ado, please let me welcome you into the sometimes sunny, sometimes stormy, sometimes psychedelic (psychedelic is a type of weather, right?) world of my fanfiction-clogged brain. Enjoy your stay. Don't forget to buy something from the gift shop on your way out. Snowglobes are now free with a mandatory donation of $6.18!
