Work Text:
Gabriel hurried around like a giddy little kid, more so than usual, because this was the first time Samandriel, and his boyfriend Adam were seeing his new house and all the modern technology within. The others, meaning Sam, Dean and Cas, had already seen it but had tagged along just for fun. Once Dean and Cas decided they wanted to get their own house, because Dean was sick of having to be quiet in bed due to the fact that Sam was in the same building, Gabriel offered to get Sam a place to stay, as long as they stayed there together. Sam didn’t see why not, him and Gabe were already dating, although nobody else knew yet, they had told everybody they were living together however, which was bound to raise a few suspicions before the big announcement. They’d agreed to tell them at this big housewarming party Gabe was throwing in a few days. As Gabriel scurries around excitedly, jumping on the couches, which Sam repeatedly told him to get off of, he was pointing at things and exaggerating what they do before Sam interrupted to explain what they actually do.
“And that there is a toaster, it cooks bread in seconds!” Adam and Samandriel looked to Sam for the accurate description but he just looked thoughtful for a second before nodding and chuckling softly.
“No, actually that one is true.” Dean and Cas smiled as Gabriel just smirked smugly before moving into the living room where once again he jumped onto the couch, his arms held out like a magician that had just finished a trick.
“So, here is the living room, completed with a huge TV and surround sound speakers.” Gabriel said suggestively and everyone either pulled a slightly disgusted face or chuckled lightly, except Dean who smirked just as widely as Gabe until Cas’s sharp elbow landed in his ribs.
“Hey Gabe, don’t you wanna show everyone your new favourite toy?” Sam laughed, gesturing to a small cylinder looking thing that sat on the same cabinet as the TV, just underneath the screen on the right-hand side. Gabriel’s eyes practically lit up and he jumped off the couch, standing in the middle of the room facing the strange tube. Everybody else was watching in wonder besides Sam who had been listening to Gabe playing with the thing for the past two days at least. Gabriel walked over to where Alfie and Adam were stood holding hands and looked Alfie in the eye.
“Watch this.” Gabe smirked before turning back to the object and speaking.
“Hey Alexa…” He started and waited a few seconds. Everybody watched in complete incredulity as the rim lit up a light blue colour, flashed and then it spoke. This weird looking grey cylinder just spoke. Dean and Cas grabbed onto each other tightly, slightly scared. Samandriel and Adam’s grip on each other’s hands tightened slightly but they stayed put.
“Sorry I didn’t quite catch that.” A female voice said, and Gabriel rolled his eyes and mumbled ‘cos nobody said anything’ before speaking up again.
“Hey Alexa, call me daddy.” Gabe said suggestively, smirking wide as Sam rolled his eyes but smiled fondly at the gorgeous man. Everybody else waited in anticipation, Cas had taken to hiding behind Dean slightly and Dean stood protectively in front of him, stroking his thumb over the back of the angel’s hand and Adam and Alfie just looked confused but mildly amused at this point.
“Calling Daddy…” Came the female voice again and Gabriel’s eyes immediately went wide as he shouted and ran towards the device.
“NO NO NO!” But it was too late, and the dial tone rang through the otherwise silent room as Gabriel watched in disbelief. Everybody else stood confused at the outburst before a familiar sound rang through the room. A ringtone… coming from Sam’s pocket. Everybody turned in horror to look at him. Sam paled before flushing a bright red as his phone rang loudly from his pocket, he turned to Gabriel quickly, sending an accusing glare his way. Gabriel looked slightly scared but also mildly amused by the whole thing, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he stared back at his boyfriend who simultaneously looked like he would explode any second but also wished the ground would open up and would swallow him whole.
The ringing stopped and Sam chanced a glance around the room to see Adam quickly looking back and forth between him and Gabe, Alfie staring at the ground horrified, Cas was looking very confusedly at everyone because apparently it hadn’t clicked for him yet and Dean was staring in utter mortification at his baby brother. Sam’s own expression was a mixture of embarrassment and shame, because now everybody in the room was well aware that he must have a daddy kink, or at least Gabe did, and he hadn’t objected to it. The deafening silence lingered for about 30 seconds; Dean was the first to speak.
“Sammy… Explain.” He said simply and Sam couldn’t help but laugh, a nervous chuckle that was trying desperately to cover how much he wanted to just bolt right now and never speak of this again.
“Aha… Well, guys, me and Gabe, have something we want to tell you… Over to you, babe.” Sam said quickly, earning a shocked glare from Gabriel, but as he opened his mouth to talk, he didn’t even get a word out before Dean cut him off.
“Babe?! You guys are together?” Dean asked, seeming surprised but still less shocked than Sam had predicted. Sam was about to answer but Gabe beat him to it, and he was glad because Sam had no clue what nonsense was about to come out his mouth.
“Well, I was about to tell you before you interrupted me.” Gabriel said, walking back to and onto the couch, going to stand behind Sam, so they were now roughly the same size, Gabe being a few inches taller. He wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s shoulders and rested his chin on his own arm, peering at Dean. Sam didn’t move the whole time, just smiled awkwardly. He relaxed when he felt Gabe though, his hands coming up to link with the angel’s. Just his boyfriend’s presence gave him comfort, and the physical touch worked wonders for him right now.
Dean watched his brother relax and turn around to kiss Gabriel, pulling away with a big goofy smile on his face. Dean hadn’t seen Sam this happy since he was an innocent little kid. Dean smiled at the sight and pulled Cas closer to him slightly, instinctively almost. He felt Cas kiss his cheek softly and he smiled too, maybe they’d all be okay after all.
“Okay well, I think this calls for a celebration!” Dean exclaimed, grabbing Cas’s hand and turning around towards the front of the house.
“Wait, so, you’re not mad?” Dean stopped at the words and turned back to face his brother who was looking at him anxiously and fiddling with Gabriel’s fingers.
“Mad? Sam, why would I be mad? I couldn’t exactly be homophobic, could I?” Sam chuckled as Dean gestured towards Cas with a ‘duh’ look on his face. Dean glanced at Gabriel who was still hanging round Sam’s neck like a monkey, but the angel was smiling sweetly at Sam, and then at him, and Dean knew that look. It was the same look Cas gave him, or he gave Cas, it was the look that said, ‘I am completely in love with you and would give my life to keep you safe’. Dean smiled at Gabe, and then at his brother.
“No, I’m not mad, I’m happy for you guys, you guys were clearly made for each other.” Dean said, his words dripping with truthfulness and a genuine smile on his face.
Sam exhaled sharply, clearly filled with relief as he nuzzled into Gabriel further.
“Well then, I think it’s time for that celebration now.” Cas smiled and Dean laughed, just with pure joy, like a child getting handed candy, except his joy was that they were all finally happy. Dean thought for a second before turning to Adam and Alfie who had just been kind of standing there watching. They probably felt pretty left out, and Dean decided that maybe the kids should have some fun too.
“Hey, Alfie.” He spoke, a smirk on his lips as Alfie looked up at him, looking almost shocked that Dean was addressing him directly.
“Y-Yeah?”
“You wanna drive?” Dean grinned his devilish grin and tossed Baby’s keys at the angel, winking and clicking his tongue as he turned and wrapped his arm round Cas’s waist, kissing him softly and heading for the door.
Alfie stared after him in disbelief and Adam stared in excitement, grabbing his boyfriend’s hand and dragging him towards the front door.
“Come on, this is a big deal!” Sam and Gabe watched contentedly; the whole thing was just pure bliss. Sam turned to kiss Gabriel properly, sighing happily when they pulled away.
“Let’s go celebrate.” He said and Gabe practically squealed with glee, taking off running towards the Impala and leaving Sam to lock the door, and he did it with a soft chuckle and a huge grin, because that couldn’t have been a more fitting coming out.
